So I can't be the only one to experience this but every time I would be in a certain task I would be matched up with oh people with the same exact one. I'm currently on kill task and for 「fluffernutter」 sakes I can't get one kill even though I am certain and could swear I shot last. Every single time. It's terrible and let's just say I didn't make it far in this event and never will for that reason. Even on winning is miserable when everyone just caps beacons and leaves. Please comment below if you've experienced this same issue. Has anyone looked into it?. Is there a thread for such experiences?.

I’ve read others mention similar but no dedicated threads - mostly along the lines of “on a beacon task and I always start a match late”. I’ve experienced some frustrating coincidences too, like getting Yam 5 consecutive games in a row today and 8 out of 10 games - but I don’t believe it’s rigged.
Lots of people grinding the even and I’m betting many are hitting into parts of tasks at the same time.

Lot of people claim it and there may be something to it as Pix loves rigging things. But the thing I cannot understand is how could they consistently manipulate a selection to cause a disadvantage for most players?

Nah nah na nah nah...I got my Bulgi today. Didn't tank or use too many unscrupilous tactics. Tho I am a newbie in D2 so it is likely easier to grind tasks at this level than in Champs.
And sorry about the teasing. I do sincerely hope you find better success in earning whatever rewards you are after.

What seems rigged to me is the number of people using hydras. Once, I had a team which was ENTIRELY spiral and hydra builds. 2 hydra fujins, 1 spydra rhino, 1 hydra gekko rhino, and even a hydra spiral gareth. Then ofc, I was there with my orkan pinata gareth, trying to get one last win for my trident task. Later I find out that 2 of these people had a FULL HANGAR of bots with spiral/hydra. I consider myself lucky though, because when I'm on kill tasks nobody on my team runs a hydra or spiral setup

For kill tasks I change my hanger to this for beacon rush mode:
Hover 2 ECU/pin, 2 Natashas thunder/pinata and Fujin taran.
I first spawn in the hover, get to the centre beacon ASAP, capture it with the hover bot, get my hover killed by the enemy bot on purpose (because that's all the hover is worth) as they advance towards the centre beacon I captured, spawn in one of the two thunder/pinata natasha and kill as many as possible that attempt to capture the centre beacon.
If I get killed I can spawn in my 2nd thunder/pinata natasha and continue hammering their heavy bots. Last resort is Fujin Taran as the last bot standing and it's the final stand against aggressive enemy bots trying to capture the centre beacon held off by me.
By this method I get 6-8 kills, I don't bail my bots so the enemy gets his kill, so when he comes to me, I kill him :P. Winning or losing depends on what the hell my team is doing.

Winning or losing depends on what the hell my team is doing. ^^ This ^^ I use the same, but a Gareth instead of the Hover. And my brawlers are a bit different. I can confirm it works a treat. You can plough through the kills tasks with ease. For Caps, go DOM, and try to use a few light speedy bots (your fastest at start), and some heavy hitters that can soak up some punishment. I find my ancile bots can just waltz in and take the hits. You only need to survive long enough to cap. In BR look out for players willing to beacon swap. Usually a light out by itself. Don't open fire on them unless they do. For wins you just have to play your best and hope for the best. There's always going to be players wanting to go kamikaze though. But rigged? I don't think so. Problem is, two thirds of the team (on averages) aren't going for the win. Wins need team work. If half the team are going kamakazi or beacon rushing it's an uphill battle

For beacon tasks, I found the 4 ECU cossack a straight ticket to LPQ so I did this instead in Beacon rush:
1 ECU cossack, 3 knife fighter bots
First I deploy the ECU cossack to cap 3 beacons, centre beacon too if possible, when it comes to the centre beacon, I will see if anyone is interested in beacon swapping, if the enemy doesn't shoot we can do beacon swap, if he shoots I can spawn in one of my knife fighters bots, waste him since he threw away a good opportunity to do beacon swap, brawl for the 2 other beacons, if I can't then I just get killed and move onto the next match.
Wins are 50/50.

For kills, try to use punishers if you have them lv.9 or above. They are the ultimate kill-steal weapons.

Kumi all the way baby. But even that thing has a hard time carrying consistently lazy tanky teammates. Can you believe I had to spend 3 DAYS to get 17 wins? Now I'm behind and won't get Bulg. But I will certainly employ that Beacon Rush tactic to see if it works for me.

I think that the dmg and armour are rigged. When my win rate is high (e.g. 60% +) my weapons do virtually no damage but when my win rate is low they do loads.
The red bot's mech level, shield etc obviously make a difference but I am noticing a real difference in dmg output and dmg taken that varies from battle to battle.

The event is so rigged, losing streaks, beacons taking too long to turn. Kills are the worst, the feckin MM keeps on putting me on the same team as @nixpilot ,

I've always had my suspicions about the objectivity (or lack thereof) of the MM. I'm in a 17-win step now, and I'm constantly getting teamed with the stupidest moron players in the game. But also, let's not forget that there really are only three task types in these events: kills, caps, and wins. So in all likelihood, at any given time, roughly 1/3 of everyone playing is on the same kind of task as you. How they all seem to end up on the same teams is a different issue.

Winning run down the middle lane while the other two derail main objective of the win.

I dunno... when I'm on win tasks, I'm pretty sure not a single one of my teammates is on the same thing. :-D

You guys are only scratching the surface. When I think my event progress is getting back on track after a marathon grind, that's when the real funny business starts to derail me.
- My wifi goes on the blitz. - My toilet gets backed up so my one refuge from the kids is gone. - Games are interrupted at critical moments by a woman calling me to say I won a river cruise in St Petersburg. - My wife Natasha asks to borrow my phone, drops it into the pool AGAIN. - Delivery guy rings the doorbell even though I didn't order anything. Says "Sorry" in a distinctly Russian accent.
There is no limit to what they will do to try to stop you from getting a Shocktrain Bulgasari. All to get you to buy it instead out of frustration. Definitely rigged.
Edited to add: Do you think I should fire my plumber Dmitri?

Fun part? Based on what we've seen Pix do, the truth is that if they truly were trying to make it harder for players to complete tasks...it wouldn't be surprising. Because, why would a company that charges $300 for a virtual mech want to give away ANYTHING without some catch? That's the problem, what brings the conspiracy theories (at least partially) into the realm of possibility. Likely? Eh, probably not. But it can't be ruled out. The MM, after all, has been configured to push most players toward a 50% win rate, as much as possible. It can compensate for players outperforming their teammates; it could certainly be configured to adjust for average kills per match, or damage, or beacons. If you're getting a lot of kills, it might automatically pair you with other players who ALSO score a lot of kills. Or beacons, damage, etc.
Again, Pix has earned their conspiracy crowd because they've consistently shown that for everything they do that benefits FTP players, there's ALWAYS a catch.

I love a really wacky conspiracy, but sadly, in this case it would be astronomically difficult for Pixo to properly rig battles. I think they might do a really badly bodged “fix” as they’ve got significant form.
But, Pix can’t work out when you drop if you turn right or left, if you spot a known whale and duck behind a wall, or charge them in a fit of rage. We, as massively irrational, very emotional pilots are the biggest unknown variable in the game.
I had a sh1t day, ran into HarryDaBlueberry 3 times in and hour, lost every time, so the 4th time spent the entire battle chasing him down and hounding him. I came bottom, it didn’t make much difference to him, but I felt much better. Can Pixo predict I was going to behave like a crazed teenager...?

One thing I get confused about is when I am locked on and shooting with Scourge and someone else gets credit for the kill. Maybe kills should be more like beacons and multiple people can be given credit. Although I just started wrote a post about not focusing on damage, maybe it would be a good alternative to kills. Some tasks with mixed bots would be good too. Remember when you first started and there were tasks with specific bots? It would add some variety.

Finished this event around the 55% time remaining mark meaning I could have completed it twice if I had the option. I even started two days late so it's not that hard.
I never did a single dom battle. My hangar setup was punisher griffin, plasma griffin, thunder carnage, thunder/pinata leo until I got 5th hangar slot halfway through my tasks.
Final bot was an orkan(event)/pinata gareth I won from silver chests. Nothing I had was higher than 5/6 except my thunder/carnage I erroneously leveled to 8/9.
I played mostly from silver 2 > gold 1-3 depending how badly I performed during each match. Sometimes it felt like matches were rigged(on win task, 5 losses in a row etc.) but that's just because when it's your task you want it a lot more.
Keep muscling through. Grind it out. If you feel like putting the game down and doing something else, don't!
