Completed the event task yesterday in GR, got 3 shocktrain (1 from components, although I aim for Heachi but got shocktrain first..), a Bulgasari, 2 Tarans. So should I just go for Shocktrain Bulgasari?

Yes, shocktrains are useless. Sell them and go for Hydras.

Just as NerfFb said above..you should definitely sell it as long as it don’t get a nerf coz I don’t want one more red having a Shocktrain bulg,although if you get in blue team it would be good for us but don’t wanna take chance that is ofc if we meet in battlefield  |

Yep! ST bulg is excellent. You are vulnerable to Tulum and Trident splash but can't be touched by Zeus or trebs.

? OK the Troll is officially over.
Shock V Taran is really a question of play style.
Shock is almost a sniper, move into range, push button, move into cover, wait, repeat. Taran is much more Brawler, old fashioned corner shooting, more engagement with reds.
Being rude for a second, there not much to learn or skill with the Shock... I far far prefer the Taran, but it's down to style.

Why not try it out and see what you like? Makes you look like a tool coming on here asking what to use - ALL WHO DO SO, NOT JUST THE OP. Mix and match, see what works for you and go kill red.

I personally like the taran(lv8) bulgasari(lv6) build, it's a excellent knife fighter for small maps like Moon and Valley.
I always find myself closing in on the enemy to close range brawls so shocktrains isn't going to help here.
In valley you can sneak up/flank on the enemy to launch a surprise attack, hammer them with tarans and dash back to cover while reloading.
I equipped my 2 shocktrains(lv8 both) on my Griffin with 2 pins for fun and leave it in my 2nd hanger. they might nerf the shocktrains again so yeah.

Is the Shocktrain Bulg a good build currently? Yes. While many say it's an easy build to use, you need good situational awareness and you have to be conservative with your Dash use or you'll be dead quick. Red team seems to hunt down Shocktrains and kill them so need to expect to be flanked from multiple directions.

I would like to try both Taran and Shocktrain for Bulgasari, but I am a free player + start the GR account in late August. I only have 2 Taran and 3 Shocktrain at low level atm, but nvm, I have chosen Shocktrain for Bulgasari since I need WSP for Heachi components. Will get more Taran after Heachi, Just need 1 Taran for weapons collection of...... 5 Orkans, 3 Taran, 3 Shocktrain for Kuminho, Heachi, Bulgasari and Griffin. Decide by the time when I got Heachi. Thanks all with helpful opinions.

Shocks on a bulg would be a great hardy setup to hunt snipers. I'd prefer them on a haechi for the mobility though. Sgt. Fury had good advice. Try it out on a few builds and see what works for you. Just understand that shocktrains arent too popular with other pilots for many reasons in as many threads. And mentioning shocks and kbots?....can take some people to a dark place.  |

I get your sentiment, but you're wrong. There's so much investment in levelling gear you need to avoid wasting time 'trying' stuff. We have no ability to test things ourselves before this monumental effort, test server is not representative at lvl 8 which is why we keep getting shocked by live weapons at mk2 lvl 12. Pix are supposedly adding the ability to test gear (hopefully like the planetside model) but until then asking is not a dumb thing to do. |

Anything with 3 Shocktrains is a good build. Shocktrains are the weapon of douchebags. Yes, they are way OP. More OP than haechi. Take little skill and rob the skill and strategy aspect from players in the game. This weapon needs to be eliminated from the game. If your intentions playing this game are to cause max damage and abandon strategy while destroying game play then by all means, put this junk in your lineup. If you enjoy playing and pitting your skill against your opponents, you will let this weapon rot in storage |

I would kill for 3 shocktrains to put on it. But, I don't have the time or patience to do the event grind. I'm still on the Trident task and don't think I'll finish it. The general feeling is that it will get fixed soon - meaning that it will soon be stopped by all shields (eg Galahad), instead of just some shields (Lancelot). Once this is fixed, you can expect Brit Bots to make a come back as a viable counter to the Shocktrain.

There is just way too much firepower around for low HP bots. And anyway even today if I see a lance or rhino (shields good against ST) I wont target him until I know his shield is broken. Just need to hit someone else near by and then let the shielded ones cop the chain effect. |

Use shield to block other Shocktrains, Gekkos, and Trebs. Just stay away from Tulumbas. Bots like the Fly and Quintdasher will be able to reach it. |

And with the exorcist about to exercise the little haechies I think a new level of nastiness is coming in regards to these weapons. If three hitting someone is not enough imagine four! Will the counter to the ST exorcist be a hydra exorcist? Overall not sure where Pix is going with this but I feel something else has to be on the horizon because the picture is becoming really weird. We are now in a transition period in either case and that’s worth remembering when planning for upgrades. I trust that didn’t answer your question ?  |
