There is nothing wrong with "bad" grammar, language changes and evolves to suit our needs. Grammar nazis are no better than flat earthers who refuse to keep up with the rest of us. They literally defend a system that is totally, utterly illogical.
It's like when they say "That's not a word" or "You used the wrong word", a word is just a syllable or collection of syllables that convey a meaning. If they meaning was conveyed, then the word used was correct.
They won't stop though. It's like I always tell my children, "people who have no tangible achievements to be proud of will cling to something else to be proud of". Massive car stereos, Grammar Nazis, loud motorbikes, graffiti, the dude that recently harassed this forum ... the motivation is all the same.

If an expression is in common enough usage it becomes correct grammar. For example "I could care less". Grammar nazis seem to miss this part of their grammar degrees.

I posted meme specifically for some peeps who keeps on taking out grammatical mistake...if it’s meant as a troll then it’s all good but if it is not then they really need to stop thinking that everybody in this fourm is from U.S or U.K where English is their native language I currently know 6 languages ( including some local language ,from local I mean used specifically for one state) ,now I cannot focus and try to improve grammar in all of them can i ? Also trying to learn German atm just started yesterday

This is an English-speaking forum. Therefore use of proper English and English grammar is recommended. It is understood that English is not necessarily the first language of some or many members here; however I would not expect to go to a German-speaking forum and be spoken to in English. It would be in my own interests, if I desired meaningful and intelligible conversations with other forum members, to address my posts in German as best possible.
As for those calling out the grammar nazis, saying it’s not a big deal: would you rather read a properly worded sentence, or one that exemplifies what a chimpanzee might concoct?
Merely an observation or two...

Hey I can look over a couple of mistakes, might not even see all, but at some point it becomes an insult. ?

Well yeh it is English speaking fourm and I think as long as I can convey what I meant to say to some other person ( fourm members ofc) I don’t think why then my grammar would become a problem for him..as I said if a person is not getting what I meant to say and then he takes out my grammatical mistakes it’s all good but if he does by reading it first time and still he tries to takes out some poo-poo mistake then I guess he has that so called syndrome posted in meme Also this thread was meant as a troll not for doing some debate so I guess just take it as a joke and let it go instead of arguing

I do agree that sometimes people go overboard and criticize the way a post is writen—mostly because they don't much care for the message. But words--like facts--do matter. As for the anything goes approach, that's a position most linguists take (not grammarians); interestingly though when they do defend this position, they do so using very precise, clear, and standard grammar. Unlike the word salad that comes out of politicians as of late.

English is not my main tongue, but I try to do my best in order to be understood by other members. I don't like when "Grammar Nazis" keep stressing minor errors in a post which is easy to understand, but sometimes people just write incomprehensible things. There's no reason to be a forum member if you can't communicate. Of course I'm not talking about you darkknight, I always understand what you write

What I don't like is when someone writes a massive block of text. No stops or line breaks. It's a killer to read.

Just like my sig says. If someone doesn’t put in the effort to make their post more readable, why should we have to put in the effort to try to read it? I don’t go around correcting spelling or anything but if there’s constant abbreviations and/or run on sentences with no periods or commas, I’m not going to sit there and try to decipher it. Also, if I open a thread and see one big block of text, not separated by paragraphs, I skim right past it.

Kardashians? Is that what you teach your children? Also, flat earthers think that the rest refuse to keep up with them, too, by being naive and refusing to overlook all the facts they were tough and that are in fact wrong, thus blindly believing in theoretical concepts that experimental (pseudo)science puts forth about black holes, gravity, aliens and other things that haven't ever been proven beyond reasonable doubt. Don't use this comparison, because, firstly, it is black rhetoric (i have to say that earth is flat to be able to say you are wrong about the meaning of grammar), which is wrong by itself and doesn't count as an argument, and secondly, calls for you to prove two facts, of witch you haven't proven any. And i'm not even starting about your definition of a word and the use of one, which is wrong, even if you tried to simplify it.
