How about tankers that post breathless yarns on the forums of that time they fought another tanker in a somewhat competitive match when they could have just stayed in their own damn league?

People do these timed discord group drops for the events because its the same old grind-fest that's just repeated for every event. Pigsonic likes to waste people's time, they lose $500 for each person who gets 2 shocktrains and a Bulgasari.
Blame the game, not the players. Had the event tasks been less grindy, like for example without subtasks: 7 wins to get Magnum, 7 kills for Natasha, 8 beacons for aphid and this way the event is actually fun and enjoyable since everyone has a higher chance to get all the rewards in the chain tasks.

I tell you. People who spend real $$$$$ to buy new OP imbalanced stuff Pix produces. The more they buy it - the more of this stuff is to come. So basically by giving Pix BIG money or paying for OP stuff they are making the game what it is becoming.
I was dropping $5~$10 now and then (did around ~100-150 this year), but since September I stopped doing that. Hope other people would do the same and steer Pix in the safe place.

In a way I believe tankers are same as whales ( i am a tanker too although tank mostly during event )
A whale buys all the op gears maxes it out and loves to play with it in higher leaugues and killing blue easily ..so they paid $$ to pix to max it out
A tanker does same but he drops the leaugue as he currently can’t always get max damage at his leaugue ..even after dropping matches still takes time to play
Assuming he have op gear (lvl 8-10)..so instead of paying $$ he waste his time to get stuff although he compares it to a f2p and thinks he is getting it for free
Now there are some smart tankers who does things like you showed above,but everything comes with a price ,he not have fun swapping beacons for some x amount of previously fixed games or kills etc
So in a way everybody pays with one way or another but some does more and some pays less...the most loss is to a f2p player who won’t tank down coz of his some XYZ reason, and if he somehow wins too much he would get matched against whales and the main reason I believe they hates tankers as the tankers who originally could had been in his leaugue is not there now so he can’t get a fair match and that slot is taken by a whale,while a tanker is frustrated to become a whales food and tanks down to keep up with those whales
So old f2p players are leaving game coz of getting tired,new players can’t keep up coz of high lvl gears of tankers compared to them unless they pay $ to lvl up stuff to max which only a whale would mostly
In a way if this keeps up game will die very soon coz tankers won’t have low lvl players to farm gold ,keys,silver etc and whales would matchup against those tankers who have high lvled gears like them and they obviously won’t like it
Although pix already knows it but he is getting $$ from whales as well as new players who want to play and climb leaugue by giving tankers a hard fight, although knowing the game will die by the method which I believe it would unless pix change it by some way although I highly doubt that they would
only thing they would have to do is fix mm by making mm hangar based and do something with gepard (idk what though) and it would be fixed..atleast would be better than current state
