I keep seeing reference to: RDB/db/pdb - usually associated with Griffin.
What exactly does that mean. I assume it has to do with weapons?
Thanks

RDB = Russian Death Button = CRV Pins + Tulumbas An alternate RDB (Rocket DB) = Pinatas + Orkans PDB = Plasma Death Button = Magnums + Tarans HDB = Hellfire Death Button = Magnums + Orkans More acronyms here: warrobots.wikia.com/wiki/Glossary

Usually Orkan Pinata is only known as DB (Death Button) And PDB is sometimes only referred to as Plasma... Why Russian though? Hmm, they like to launch rockets from far away?

I believe the term "Russian Death Button" comes from the (possibly past) popularity of the Tulumbas/Pin Griffin setup amongst Russian clans. Which, I've seldom encountered, though it may be more of an Android thing. Regardless, the name is awesome.

Don't forget these other popular archetypes:
NOU = Natasha of Uselessness = 2x Zenit, 2x Noricum Natasha
TSP = Terrible Sniping Platform = Gekko Trebuchet Natasha
LUPTB = Lumbering Useless Plasma Tank Button = Ancile triple Mag Leo

LUPTB = Lumbering Useless Plasma Tank Button = Ancile triple Mag Leo Ancile/Mag Leo driver: "I got this tanking bot with a tanking shield. I shall tank all damage and conquer." Charges into center fight. "Oh crap. PLASMA!!!" Dies. Drive the LUPTB Leo and you too can own a slow, fat Gepard with a shield which dies in three shots of a Thunder and won't stop plasma. When you're the proud possessor of this pointless behemoth, you can rest easy at night knowing that you made some enemy pilot very happy with all those damage points you gave him.

Does the russian death button make the same damage as 4 pinatas? Don't know about total damage, but the RDB's true benefit is 200m greater range than Pinata/Orkan and 150m greater range than plasma. The RDB kills without ever coming in range of return fire - plus the RDB can use splash damage to nail covered targets a Pinata or Orkan wouldn't scratch. Total damage output I believe is similar to quad-Pinata, but the Patton should never be able to touch the RDB Griffin.

Someone said that the "Russian" reference comes from the Katyusha (spelling?) that the Russians loves so much in WW2.

Russian Death Button - It ain't pretty but it's cheap, available by the dozen and causes just as much pain.
The (Western) Death Button might be nicer to hold and deal more damage and quicker, but it's more expensive and has to be so much closer for beat results.
As usual big and clunky but extremely reliable will beat fancy but delicate if the circumstances are right. AK47 at 50m anyone?

RDB has burst damage apporximately equal to that of three pinatas. The Trident Fury is essentially a db with twice the range.
