So, What are your games like lately? For me in Champion League the games have been poor in quality, I am not just referring to wins, I am talking about the quality of your team and your opponents and they kinds of matches your having. I am a brawler at heart and do not like playing long range much. Its just boring and it does nothing to help with beacon control. I am getting tons of games with Expert League players fresh outta Diamond who still run 3 range bots and a couple of light beacon bots with very few brawlers in hangar.
A typical game for me as of late is a big map ( I get Springfield constantly) with me and one other Champion League player at best, with the rest at Expert Level. The game runs for 5 to 9 minutes depending if one side grabs a 4 cap right off the bat and keeps it which is happening at an alarming rate nowadays, and then its 5 minutes of range fighting and hydras till the beacon bar runs out with low damage scores unless you camp.
Is this the same for other Champs? How are the games for people in thew middle leagues?

In android expert the games were good. Especially with upper experts. No champs no diamond.
Now in masters the games are really hectic. Opponents and teammates from all spectrum. Squadding diamonds to friking mk2 Manni and legends. I was so confused i ran underleveled/light hangar for a while. No difference really, just less damage.

Bro, I’ve found many of my solo matches have been pretty balanced mm. There’s always the occasional too many MR LR, and certainly we need to accept that those load-outs are a valid part of combat, but I do get your frustration with random teammates spending too much time in longer ranged stuff, but, what’s new eh!?! I’ve given up getting frustrated by my expectations that people in Expert-Champ understand what it means to control the beacon bar or how to run longer ranger load-outs effectively. Instead, when I see what’s going on, or even when the Mk2 maxed squads appear, I don’t worry about a win and instead just try my best to get as much beacons, damage, and kills as I can. As a result of this I tend to rank top three nearly every time. If my team wants to not only lose but lose their opportunity for greater rewards, well, I thank them for putting up less competition for me to take their rewards from them. So, put your mask on, and be the thief you were born to be ?

1. Beacon rush gives me long range maps like Springfield or really open ones like Canyon where my brawlers have a hard time fighting
2. Snipers.
3. The usefulness of the rhino makes me really think if it still belongs in my hanger as it mainly dies by rockets which are pretty common
4. I'm like Goku in a sense I like to face stronger opponents and learn a few things from the experience but it's becoming harder to enjoy that feeling.

Lately has been better balanced. Have had several good intense games, but have also had a couple of seriously unbalanced ones where either the blues or reds got totally smoked. Those could have been due to tankers though.

Agree with Estoplast . I enjoyed Android Expert after the MM remake a couple of weeks ago, mostly balanced matches with other Experts and the occasional Master. Often volatile and engaging and close in the end. Now in Masters it is starting to deteriorate again. My enjoyment of the game (and its perceived quality) seems to be directly related to the absence of DIES and Mk2 and especially Mk2 DIES gear, but I digress. While I believe matches in general have gotten better after the remake in Diamond - Expert - Master (on Android), there is still a problem once squads are involved. And if there is a Champ with a very high score, I believe his other team mates will be lower to make up for this "uber" Champ, which can also lead to skewed matchups. Another problem in general with this kind of "random" matchmaking in War Robots is that it's tough to tell from the start who you're up against. Sometimes I'm match with Experts and need to push to win the game, other times I'm matched with Mk2 champs and need to keep my head down as much as possible. The game should at least present some kind of overview at the beginning of the match who the other team is or show it in the game outright. |

I already spoke up about the decline of skill in Experts. I remember being an Expert used to mean something. Now I see they are bunch of noobs, they camp, have multiple long range, and don't cap beacons. But since you mentioned it, I don't want to speak up about it, I don't know if it was my imagination or what. Yes, quality has been terrible lately. I don't see it improving back to the halcyon days. Worst, I see there are many high level Experts now with 11/11 or 12/12 hangers. I'm honestly getting bored, and ready to leave if my clan asks me to switch games. I know before you said you hoped there would be a large pool of Champions to play with. Well, I'm a bit more realistic. |

Definitely a crapload of long range bottle rocket players in Facebook Gameroom. Worse thing is they don't hit squat. I am in Silver so that may be part of it. I think most of them are little kids that just like to hear the whooshing sound when they launch them. Game play generally has taken a dip. I attribute that to Christmas vacation and lots of urchins out of school.

GuitarGuy, I'm seeing fairly balanced games for the most part (roughly 2/3). I agree that the most unbalanced games are definitely on Springfield. I know they changed the spawn point a while back to balance things out, but I still see serious problems with the 2 sets of spawn points they have. The dam side has the advantage of the height for sniping and that can be brutal if they use it effectively. However, the farm end has the advantage (at least in the riverbed spawn points) of having much better/faster access to the city side. It's ridiculous.
That said, the rest aren't too bad. When I play random, it's becoming far more rare for me to run up against the whale fleets. The biggest imbalance comes in the form of small pairings. I ran into F-A-H-Q on Yam this weekend and he was with a clanmate. They played really well and used the terrain incredibly to their benefit so it wasn't necessarily a large equipment differential (though they had their fair share of dashes, but they are becoming more common among champs now anyway), but the imbalance was in that we didn't have 2 comparable champions on our side. Someone might argue that I would have qualified for that based on my stats and gear, but without a clan mate, they had the advantage and used it well. Not complaining...just pointing out the type of imbalance I have seen more recently. (They both scored over a mil, btw. They played that map like pros. I learned a thing or two from it and enjoyed it.)
Here's hoping you get less Springfield and more...more...well more everything else. lol |

Too many tankers to say its good, orkaechis and ancilots are killing us in the lower leagues.
I am a moderately experienced player and I have an account in gold 2, but my android account is in silver 1 and its so hard to gain trophies with all these damn tankers. I keep getting matched with this guy from Suicide Squad, the #7 ranked clan on android. his name is Chauntan (or something around those lines), and I get him at least in one match a day.

In my case (exp III ios) the story repeats again and again: Matches are notoriously more balanced now, but each time I am in the five battle challenge to move up a league, I get a storm of MKII things and the sh... hits the fan (this happened mostly all year 2017). Rinse and repeat.....

Yeah, there are lots of campers, but when I solo and review the teams at the end of the match they seem relatively balanced...relatively. Like if there's a Champion on one side there's generally one on the other side and so on. Then it often seems like it'll be about who has the better champion, or expert, or whatever. Not all are created equal. i.e. - Did you get the champ with a 7/7 hangar and a 38% win rate, or the one with the 11/11 hangar and an 80% win rate? Overall, without having some sort of hangar consideration in the MM, it seems ok. How much work is involved depends on the size and depth of my squad, or if I'm soloing. I guess I don't have much for complaints. I dunno...I'm mostly satisfied. |

Every fifth game I am either smashing expert and masters league or getting spawn 「grape」 by dash/inquisitor squads. What you are noticing with the quick 4 cap will only get worse. F2P players are running more midrange to compensate for the inability to brawl against dash. When the 3rd beacon is captured both teams switch to mid range and it becomes a battle of attrition. The midrange strategy worked when less than half the enemy team had dash bots. What we are seeing now is an inflection point where more players are getting dash bots. When more than half the enemy team has dash bots, there simply isnât enough time to deal enough damage before they get to your defensive line. The midrange line collapses and you have a spawn 「grape」 by the 2nd minute. The game is over by the 3rd minute. This is the present in champion league and it will filter down into the other leagues as well. It is not so different from when it was a Lancelot festival in champion league. Based on past experience, we have another 5 months of this. |

Due to time constraints ive been soloing a game or two here and there when I can. I mostly play domination and have noticed that the matches have been pretty balanced and been a lot of fun lately. I play FBGR and noticed I have usually been the only champ league player on my team with a lot of gold silver and bronze players.
My teams have typically fallen behind early only to have us come back late for a win, bot them out or lose narrowly. There have not been any steam roller matches that Ive been a part of.
On FBGR you are almost always guaranteed at least one Zenith Noricum chucker per match. A few days ago in a squad match in Dead City there were four reds trying to climb the sniper/camper ramp towards the beacon to the left of spawn, it was hilarious....

I didn't vote because there is no option for frequently unevenly matched games. This right here is the answer. In Expert 2/3 I usually get my butt kicked over a few games by some Champions, then the next match MM decides itâs time for me to win so puts 5 Expert players on my team and 3 gold/Diamond players on the other team with a few Experts. We steam roll the other team in about 4 minutes. The other night I could see it happening about 30 seconds into a match, so I just sat back and watched the other five players dominate. I didnât have to even shoot once, and we won easily in 5 minutes. Next match, back to getting 「bum-bum」 handed to me by MK2âs. Itâs just such a yo-yo effect in Expert. |

The most important matches for me are my squad matches. We don't squad often, and if they leave, I leave. A couple months ago, I noticed a change in 3 person squads (our clan is only 3 people) and matches were actually fair. No more 6 Champions vs 6 Experts. Now in the last week or 2, it's back to the same old. Matches are super unbalanced when squadding, and we lose a lot. I looked at my clanmates win %, and it used to never dip below 30% even if it's just barely at 30%. Now, it's below 30%. They only play when we all squad together, so I can tell how the MM is by looking at their win %. So yeah, they seem to have done the opposite on purpose, and let the Whales and unbalanced teams exist when squadding. I notice the same pattern when playing solo. It used to be 2 tough matches, 1 easy. Now it seems MM wants me to have a lower War Robots, so my War Robots is more often below 30%. |

Here's hoping you get less Springfield and more...more...well more everything else. lol Deadeye has a good point. I typically run every night with that player from my clan in a squad of 2. Full squads have to be of the same skill level (putting league level aside as its somewhat meaningless) AND equipment. So to enjoy the game I really only play with a small group of players I know or I run solo. Solo is a challenge as Expert league players use wacky builds and usually range and to their credit, they know how to use it. So with a mix of equipment, skill, and leagues one has to adapt to both range and current meta on any map. This requires an exceptional knowledge of the map and target selection. Hence, a map like Yama regardless of the rest of my team, two of us can use brawler bots on a long map and succeed. We arm one range bot (both use Fury Zeus) and the rest are plasma and orkan builds. We also have a strategy-do not push for more beacons than necessary but hold 3. This allows us to adjust to the reds on the field and not make silly mistakes to try and prematurely end the match for the sake of winning. Running a 2 man squad avoids the majority of the full squads, and most of my clan can not hold up to a full top tier squad in dom or BR. Typically if I run in a full squad its a mix of players from other clans (Like my man Guitar Guy) who have played together countless battles and have similar abilities to be effective as a team. Honestly at this point, I do not see how Pix could balance the MM. |

Oukei. Quality of the matches have gone down the drain. This is absolutely ridiculous. The amount of cossacks and skippers is unbelievable. I thought halloween event was crap. This is a whole new level.

TO make it worse, I dropped down to Expert after the last event, and don't care to grind back up with the pace of events coming every month now. (Yeah, expect 1 every month now). So as someone explained in another thread, I think they are using some other criteria, either hanger based or something, as I am still being matched against a Champion. I had one match with 6 Experts vs 2 Champions/4 Experts, and I wondered why they didn't put 1 Champion on our side. There was a 2 person squad on our side, and other side was all randoms. On Android, at the Champion level, the MM is better in my opinion. Since the new MM change, I get mostly other Champions (both as opponents and teammates), whether solo or in a squad. The exceptions are when mixed league players squad together, then there may be a bit of unbalanced match making. Otherwise, fairly balanced matchups. Average match times have increased to anywhere from 1.5 to 2 minutes.

I am not finding long range to be a major issue (those guys are as annoying as they always were), but definitely lack of quality gameplay. On the plus side I am getting 10 gold in a lot of games. squading is also not good quality - 95% of the time we are steamrolling people in games that last 3 mins (often squad chat is about trying not to get so many beacons to at least mech out the other side), 5% is more or less evenly matched against other full champ squads, but even there the range of abilities and equipment is pretty wide. This kind of inbalance makes it kind of boring and definitely feel bad for the guys getting crushed as it is really a lost cause for them out of the gate. |

Hey man, if MM wants to female-dog slap you, no amount of Haechis in your hanger are going to save your bum-bum. MM will throw a 5-spot of tankers on their way down to silver league at you and you'll just have to bend over and take it.

(Yeah, expect 1 every month now). So as someone explained in another thread, I think they are using some other criteria, either hanger based or something, as I am still being matched against a Champion. I had one match with 6 Experts vs 2 Champions/4 Experts, and I wondered why they didn't put 1 Champion on our side. There was a 2 person squad on our side, and other side was all randoms. The only reason I can think if, sorry I have to resort to jokes, but in soviet russia the MM plays you! Hey man, if MM wants to female-dog slap you, no amount of Haechis in your hanger are going to save your bum-bum. MM will throw a 5-spot of tankers on their way down to silver league at you and you'll just have to bend over and take it.
This 100%... Even with a Meta hangar you can only do so much when your team has no interest in capping beacons or winning in general. I switch over to BR thinking it will be better and I still get pilots dropping in treb furies on Dead City.. SMH |

Cant complain about MM latly (compared to what it used to be not to the ideal)
only a few hardcore loopsided matches now and then
if matches are short its mostly because good teamwork (solo most of the time)
and/or lucky matching
Campers are still present in expert but less than i had to life with in diamond
Game is fun atm
PS i face dashbots most of the games but ancilot is still the most common OP bot
