Look, I get it. You wanna have a target to shoot at, but please don't fix your super-heavy long range weaponry at me for the entire match, even when I'm not moving and behind cover! Go snipe someone else and leave me be to float about in my little blue boi! (Check the bottom left side of the image to know what I'm talking about. This happens almost every match I use Hover. People seem to hate him more than dash bots..)

They don't hate you. They just want to bag the new bot. Give it some time. When more Hovers start showing up in the games, the snipers will start looking for other targets.
Hmm... Punishers on the Hover? I suppose it'd be like a leadhose Griffin, but I'm trying to imagine how well it would work on the bot and with the ability. How's it working for you? Other than being sniper bait?
The other red is less than 300m away. If you had Orkans/Pinata, you could've moved to the edge, keeping the yellow circle between you and the snipers, and gotten some good splash damage on the red on the right.

I think it's less about hating it and more about knowing how much of a sitting duck it is. You probably would've single handedly won that match just by sitting there and moving sporadically to keep their attention.

When all the reds in the area are looking up at you, the rest of the blues can toast them.

This has actually been my strategy lately and I'm starting to consider putting Hydras and a spiral on my Hover to use exactly for this purpose. May help me during the event for win tasks by using myself as unreachable bait.

Basically, I want to find somwhere high to hide, make a nuisance of myself, and make all the reds go crazy trying to get me. If I can tie up 2 or more bots, then I will have accomplished my goal.

So there I am in my gecko Leo with nothing to shoot at, and someone yells, "pull!" Guess who's getting shot. ?

Because regardless what side you spawn on, the Skyscrapers almost always give you places to hide and pester the enemy team.

If I was you I would just do what I had to to keep those guns trained on me! When Haechi first came out you could win matches by pied-pipering the reds all over the map!

Exactly, keeping 1/2 a team looking at you means they ain't doing their job and your team (if they are smart) have capped beacons, as in your picture, or are killing off read.

I like the hover. When I see one I usually ditch my current bot for another blue bot just to play with them. I don't use trebs or sniper set ups but for some reason, no one wants to come out and play with me and my shotguns. Besides, I havent seen a blue hover bot since the test server, I just see the silver ones. I think the mistake pilots make with the hover is they fly way too high. It is a tempting target. Ive heard many comparisons of the hover with the AH-64 Apache. One of the gunship's key advantages IS actually flying NOE or close to terrain only popping up to attack or to do a vertical ascend in cover to release its payload. OP should consider this tactic. Hover has very good flying speed which should help it a lot with the right tactics. Im planning to science the 「dookie」 out of it when I complete my components.

Not sure if you know this but Hover automatically skyrockets into the air when you press the ability button, getting to a hover state is risky even if you were just trying to hover close to the ground. Only way to hover close to the ground without jumping higher than any bot in the game is to walk off a ledge to get airborne. Edit: Scratch that first part, you do know that because you own one. How do you keep close to the ground?

That would explain why the red hovers I've seen just jumped straight up into the air and got zapped.

Float around the map, shooting enemies while they can't fire back, then firing a barrage of missiles while yelling " Justice rains from above!"

A Hydra/Spiral, Tulumbas/Pin, or Shocktrain/(Sprial or gekko) can be annoying setup for this Hover bot

How do you keep close to the ground? My bad, thanks for that bit of info. I had assumed that it would play like the test server, which I played extensively. It also explains hover behavior Ive witnessed on the live server. In any case, Im still waiting on a few more components.

That's called skill (camp version) they keep looking at you hoping you would get out of cover. Sometimes I eject just to feel their heartburn!

When kids see candy they run for it. When campers see jumping frogs they shoot

Question. When you hit max map ceiling in a hover then eject, where do you go?
