Ok, I just had one game in BR on Dreadnought. Holy moly, I love this map! There are SO many places to hide, it's a knife fighter's dream. It truly is 3D. I was hiding from an aphid Leo in my crippled DB Rhino. I kept that Leo AND a Lancelot tied up for a precious minute before I got flanked from the ship from bots that were at a higher level than me. That is so cool. Then, later, I respawned in my orkan Rog. I ran/jumped all the way up the side of the ship to the very top. Man, I wish I was rocking my aphid Jesse at that point! That spot is an aphid chucker's dream come true! I saw a Griffin on the ground with about 1/3 health. It was just over 300m away from me. Yes, that's how high up you are. So, I jumped, locked on, and as soon as I hit 300m, I started firing. Poor guy never even saw me! That was exhilarating!
Sorry if I sound a little excited... I'm a lot excited! LOL. Can't wait to play it again.

I've only played it once, but my initial impression is also very positive. Lots of places for knife fighting, lots of places for sniping, lots of cover to avoid sniping. It presents some interesting tactical choices.

I got on it about 6 or 7 times on the test sever, and it was my favorite map ever.. It has something for eveyone.. Its full of nook and crannies.. so many ways to play the map..
They can now delete YAM.. lol..

Can't wait to play it again. I played it multiple times on the test server in its cruder incarnations. I have to say that now that it's finished, it's infinitely better to play. Very slow going for the big clunkers like Leo, Fury, and Natty, but it's great for Gareth, Stalker, and Rog. They have a field day. And I have to agree with Koalabear: get up on top with a long range weapon, and the world is yours. I can't wait to take my Zarnage up there and have a cookout. |

Due to this map, I am a full believer that Pix should just stick to making fun maps instead of not-so-fun weapons.

Yeah I am enjoying this map too. It seems like whoever can control the top of the ship is going to dominate it, though it is early.

Like the map.
Hell on targeting system though. Best you get up there fast and shoot down since it's really difficult to get the targeting to switch and actually shoot someone above you.

Try Zeus Carnage if you insist on zappy zap on this map. The Zeus is good at catching bots in-and-out of cover. You just need to be at the right place at the right time. Carny trumps Fury/Lance in this case. |

Holy moly aceboy44 , your for real. Half the map is sniper city. You should explore the map some buddy. It's got tons of room for sniping, but also cover for runners, your gonna have to work for it a little. Can't just camp and snipe from home spawn, no. But many lanes @ 600m for Zeus Fury |

Took my Zarnage up topside and shot down. Had me a nice little cookout until a couple of Griffins got tired of me taking out their friends. I was able to snipe at them from behind barricades, but they finally got me, but not before I cooked a Fury, a Thundage, and a couple of Griffins. *Sniff* Ah. I love the smell of smoldering Fury in the morning.

We at Chez Zarnage are only too happy to fill your order. I do warn you, however, that sometimes the Natty's will be a trifle overcooked. Louie is working to improve his aim, but, ah, lightning being a tricky thing to cook with, we are having some difficulty fine tuning the voltage. Monsier does understand, I trust? And one must be careful when aiming at a Griffin, as lightning hitting too far forward and zapping feathers causes the Griffin to put off a very fowl odor (Sorry, I just had to do it.) |

I found that the opposite situation is true as well. If there is some bot within the ship, you may have a hard time in general to target a red that is on top of the ship with you. Regardless of which bot is further up. |

I wish I felt the same! I've gotten really good with the old stuff, I've invested so much game time in getting the right stuff levelled up and with the space of a few weeks the Meta became DIESS. I think BLYTHE pretty much nails it when he calls it feeling irrelevant. I play in those matches, I do enough damage to stay in the league they are in but I'm never a major factor in the game anymore. When I was quiting games that featured DIESS stuff in my team I'd often watch the game and blues would still win, 5 vs. 6. A DIESS whale hangar is pretty much equal to two F2P hangars. I don't think I'm exaggerating; in a 1 vs 1 death match a Mk2 hangar with Haechies, and Shttrains and Embers etc will wipe out my hangar twice. |

First time I played, I poked my head over the top of the ship and got blasted by zeus! The zeus is still very much relevant there. You can hide in the ship and zap bots from an elevated position. The map is crazy. The next couple of times I played, I got toasted. It's like Valley, where the reds can swarm from any direction, but in this case, that also includes UP! |
