Shocktrain is the most OP thing around. Is that because it is on the wrong hardpoint?
At level 12 it does 15.5k damage at full charge at up to 500m. Zeus does 16.4k at up to 600m with a similar recharge cycle.
slightly lower damage and shorter range are more than made up for by the chain effect of secondary hits.
If The only place you saw 3x Shocktrain was on a fury at least there would be a chance to close in and take it down (almost impossible on a long open map with a good haechi pilot). 2x Shocktrain on a carnage would be a menace, but not as destructive as a shock-dash.
based on the current stats Shocktrain would have been a great new heavy weapon. If it needs to remain medium then it needs to lose about 1/3 of current initial damage.

It would've been a great addition there I think. I agree with the OP.

It should have a recharge time of 30 seconds Agreed - it will do in total more damage than a Zeus, so there is no way it should be a medium weapon with close to current stats. I think it would be a bit easier to handle if the platform was a fury and not a haechi that canhide for the entire game

Sounds good. It can also be an indirect reboot of Raijin, effectively equipping 2.6 Shocktrains in Bastion mode and 32% more HP than a Fury

And while the idea of the weapon makes sense, it was very poorly implemented. As a weapon to counter clustering, it should only have a 25-50 meter leap range, and it should do all leaps from the first target hit, at the same time, vice chaining from target to target all over the map. But in saying that, Pix should understand that games like this should promote team play and team work. Any weapon that destroys the team play concept can be detrimental to the longevity of the game. As a medium weapon, it should loose damage, and regardless of what hardpoint used, the chaining range should be dramatically decreased. The damage is insane, but only because it instantaneous in nature which leaves no counterplay.
The correct change is to make it work like a 500m Gekko that deals damage overtime. That would give players a chance to get to cover, block it with physical shields or move away from allies that chaining it to them. It also means the user has to expose themselves and can't just Dash from cover, deal critical damage, then Dash back to cover.

Sorry the Shocktrain is op all right But i guess you have not been on the other end of an Ember cause that thing is worse than any shocktrain. Took my level 10/10/10 Trancilot down in like 3 seconds flat. Now that is OP!

But use it as a heavy hardpoint is sound fair enough that "not" anything have to do with dash bot and its hard point. For what i think its would fair non payer to have a chance to win against, but idk if pix willingly have to any chance to change that idea because those whaler really spending their score and probably not gonna be plz of that changing refund. as much i like to change but everyone probably knows that it already too late.....

Perhaps in the same way Pixonic claims to be moving from the Light, Medium, Heavy designations when it comes to meks, then they are toying with the same idea concerning weapons?
