Something I noticed after playing several games today...1) I hate Treb fury and butch 2) I can never dodge the fire.
Firstly I hate campers who stay in the same bot the whole game at the back of the map...secondly every time I try to dodge the treb...even when I clearly dodge and see the beam pass by me I still take a massive hit. Even in my Haechi if dashed at the right time but no matter what if taken full damage...hell even when I see the blast hit a pillar in front I somehow still take the damage sometimes.
Anyone else encounter this...any good tips?

I tried many time, looks like Trebs is very hard to avoid. That the only time my Galahad shield shine, but I prefer Bulgasari if I can get one. Galahad shield still break too fast against Zeus Fury.

Pix should nerf OP weapons like trebuchet. Anything a Haechi can't dodge should be nerfed! Zeus next!

Situational awareness is how you avoid this. For example: When you drop on the deck or field of Springfield-Wait till to drop your bot, you can see what the reds have dropped by waiting till after the battle started. You will then know if you are facing trebs. If you see them, drop something that has a shield. Do not run to the first beacon if on the deck, this is typically what a sniper is waiting for. Use cover, if you know you have a LR on the reds, know where they are and determine if going out into the open is worth it. Most maps have enough cover to advance on the reds with out getting obliterated by a camper. Time your movements to their shots. Wait for them to shoot, then move. Trebs have the longest cool down time in the game. Time your movements to their shots. This works for every LR set up (except gekko, which is pure annoyance, and Zeus which has a 5 second cool down). I use an ancilot to advance against trebs, gekko, Zeus, and Trident. However you do not have infinite shielding, so again, use cover to regain ancile strength, and know what shield on a lance took damage to slightly angle so the next hit go to a fresh shield (lance has 3 front shields that get independent damage from LR weapons). You will get good enough that they really do not change your game much and become nice bags of silver. Also, its one less brawler to worry about. Its one less bot that will cap a beacon as these load outs are there for one reason-avoid getting hit and do damage.

If I get pinned down by a Treb sniper I usually just wait. It would be one man down on both teams simultaneously so there isn't much loss there.
Usually they switch targets because the only job of a sniper is to deal damage. Whereas I would be happy to wait in exchange for being able to safely approach a beacon.

This could be a bug/lag in the visuals. I’ve been testing things in custom matches and have seen things like a Trident inflicting damage the moment the fire button is pressed, well before the animation of the rocket hits the target. In fact in that case the Trident dealt 4 blows, 1 the moment it fired and 3 more in accordance with the visual strikes. A quick test with Trebuchet shows something similar. This is how it should look... this is the moment the damage registered... But in one case this is the moment damage was inflicted, about midway between firing and the visual hitting... I’ve also seen Trebs and Gekkos damage through physical shields. It’s glitchy. 99% of the time the physics looks right but play enough and the glitches appear.

I have repeatedly dropped down before the treb hits me, but it still registers. It is especially annoying in canyon, which should be removed from the map pool ? I have heard "rumours" about dodgeing them, but how or when i have no idea.

F-A-H-Q has it right. Situational awareness is the answer to almost any problem you have, aside from Dash bots. The key to Trebs is to get them to blow their load into a corner. Nothing will be more satisfying to you and angering to them when it comes to Trebs. Situational awareness is the 2nd most important thing in War Robots - having a never ending supply of USD being the 1st. If you have excellent awareness, you will never have problems with Trebs.

Honestly, After the buff to all the long range stuff is when the game really started to lack as far as challenging game play. This was before we even had Dash Bots. I understand range has its place but once you get in Champion league I would hope you would have decent CQC skills but it seems the latest batch of up and coming champs tend to have a lot of range in hangar then in the past and tend to lack brawling skills. Just my observations.

To be honest I don't see as many long range as I used to. My plan is similar to others I tend to wait until they fire then move. Or stand behind cover long enough and they get irritated and look elsewhere. Nothing more satisfying than sneaking up on one though. Il try some other stuff but on some maps you just have to accept it I guess. I literally played a game on yamantau or whatever it's called and the opposition started with 2 quad maxed gekko pattons, 2 triple maxed Treb furys a maxed quad treb butch and an Orkans Haechi to grab beacons....we never stood a chance. Annihilated every time we moved

Just my observations. Agree I prefer short to mid range...its just more fun...i have one long range and that's my triple tempest fury and it's not even that long range

My point is that I recommend working on baiting people into shooting into where they think you'll be instead of where you actually are. It's rather easy to get Orkan and Taran users to fire into empty space (or a wall). Snipers are harder to bait, but it can be done. In many cases you can't get a Red to get give up the attack, but if you make it as obnoxious for them to hit you as possible, they'll often move on to another Blue particularly if it's a sniper. You're little to no threat (unless you're in a counter-sniper role) to them and they need their damage score to climb. If it's a PITA for them to get you, they'll move on to a more tasty blue-hued morsel.

True...i know how much of each bot needs to be exposed to take a hit so I tend to show some bot but not enough...that usually us enough to get them to take a pop at me. Or face your bot in another direction but still watch them...they will think you aren't paying attention.

Nice thing about third person shooters is you can corner peak if those glowing trebs are looking at you without exposing yourself, then make a run for it

Unfortunately, if the person looking at you is a RDB or packing Tridents they can still tag you. That happens to me more often than I'd care to admit.
