If you play video games, chances are you've seen a directional damage indicator, a red circle at the center of the screen that tells you where that shot that just hit you came from, i think War Robots could use one due to the fact that either players get tunnel visioned too easily and ignore incoming damage or they're just too stupid to know what gunfire impacting their hull means. Why do i think this? Lately, I've seen players spin around wondering where a shot came from, me included sometimes, thinking to myself: "Where? Where?", i think a thin glowing red circle near or around the reticle would be a good addition to the game, not large enough to cover the screen too much but enough to be noticeable, to annoy players into turning towards what's actually hitting them, as an option of course, like the auto lock i'd imagine some players would prefer it off. TL:DR I'm sick of players being obviously shot but not paying attention to it whatsoever and end up dying, they're like NPCs in stealth games that have several 「fluffernutter」ing gunshots hit objects near them and not bothering to take cover or turn around to shoot back, it's so infuriating. Opinions?

The game has this. It's the ricochets, plasma bursts, gekko glows, lightning glowing on your butt and explosions. Plus you can watch the spirals, hydras and aphids arc right in.

I know, yet people seem to not notice a giant repeated yellow burst going up their a*s. I watched a Fujin tail a Griffin while unloading their Tarans into them and only turned around just to be ejected the next second.

How's that going to work with shocktrain? Hm, sh*t, i dunno, technically speaking it would just point at whoever A: Shot you, or B: Got bounced off of.

I sometimes use headphones on my iPad and the stereo effect gives the direction of the damage quite well. I can at least tell if it is port, starboard or a Dash toasting my "shiny metal 「bum-bum」".
Would the direction of damage show the direction of the shot? Or the direction of the robot firing the shot? My point being that a bot can fire on the move and it can travel a fair distance until the shots hit. An extreme example would be a Cossack firing a tulu mid-jump at a target 450m away...

Already exists. I don't play with sound (broken so no sound) and I know when I'm hit, and the general direction it's coming from. (Left or right). Plus you get the red arrow thingies on the edge of the screen if you pay attention to that.
Usually if I get hit, then that tells me that my awareness is poor. I should already know if somebody is approaching me.

I was in upward sectioned centre beac with my last bot in moon map when someone blasted my ss slowly and I saw everywhere and couldn’t find anyone till I died and found it was from downwards where a rdb killed me..I didn’t knew splash damage can pass through objects ..so I guess something like that should work however if they do then those stalker who keeps on attacking when we are distracted and didn’t knew would be in disadvantage..because hide and attack is best play for em and if you remove it for many bots it would not be possible for some bots, actually many to kill high hp bots..also sometimes it feels nice when you somehow spawn next to enemy and he don’t know that you spawned there and kill him or quite opposite even if u have very low health and assuming you have all slot left and enemy spawns next to you unknowingly and you kill him ..mostly it works in dB griffin..love when ancilots spawn in front of me with their back sided at me and I just go into their ancile and kill it in one shot

No. More screen clutter is not needed. Simplified monetary system is needed however.
