Does anyone really know for sure how much these guys are spending from actual witnessing or hearing about it or are there any ways we can calculate this??? If there are really hundreds of players spending thousands on the game then that means the rest of the players are just there to be easy meat for those guys?? And that would mean Pixonic would only be listening to those players needs of killing the rest of the peasants in the game... what is going on people??

Go in game, find the components, click buy now, you'll see a pop up saying how much. Ludicrous money, but I guess if you want to use money on a dying game, it's up to you.

No no I am against spending money on a mobile app game. REAL Games for the pc and the consoles use the talents of so many people like more than a movie production and are really well made and worth the $50 or $60 bucks they charge. You can play those real games in a 4k display for the money you spend on a single bot? I cannot understand why these people are doing this, spending sooo much?? If they spoil stupid easy to make games like these with so much money what does that do to the gaming industry - the real players may all just give up and create silly games like this one!

You might want to check out EA games, they're doing exactly the same thing as mobile games. $60 for the game, quests to complete (but you can bypass the in game quest for $$), and loot boxes. I would guess the gaming industry will crash at some point, when folks are fed up enough.

I have spent 1 year on this game and it seems like now I WASTED all that time to finally get a 11/12 Hanger.. only spent $30 so far on it.. but that and all that time are a complete waste now because everything is now outdated with the new bots and components and the new mk2! Yeah bro I think I saw something like that in GT5 also but there was a way to earn $$ to buy new cars by playing the game the hard way also.. not this stupendous by any means. But yeah man, there should be some regulations against the gaming industry they shouldn't be allowed to waste so much of our time and monies right?!

Because War Robots is a pay to win game, and they paid.
You can't compete at the top without paying anymore.

Many of the early adopters bought thousands of dollars worth of keys to spin (when the dash wasn’t just components) and then after getting what they wanted got Apple to give them refunds, which Apple promptly did. However, after it became an epidemic, Apple has now frozen all refunds and instead made players contact Pix instead. Too little too late.

The game has been pay to win sometime, maybe people should have noticed it before when bots and weapons were available only for gold --- Lancelot, Gareth, Galahad, Fury, Gepard, Aphids, Ancille, Gekko, Orkans and Zeus.
Just that it was cheaper for pay to win then. Then it went higher, and higher.
While many players have thrown good money on the dash bots, others, particularly at the higher levels, have large stores of gold and workshop points that were traded for components. Because the components are exchanged in multiples, for example 120 Inquisitor + 240 Kumiho or 120 Haechi + 120 Bulgasari, the trades will result, in not just one, but three or four nearly at once. At the same time, you will also get Scourges, Tempests and Shocktrains as collateral acquisitions.
To speed leveling them up, yeah, you would need gold.

I have spent 1 year on this game and it seems like now I WASTED all that time to finally get a 11/12 Hanger.. If you didn't enjoy playing the game as you worked up to an 11/12 hangar, then yes, I would say you wasted all that time. You should probably also do some reflection on why you spent your free time doing something you neither needed to do nor enjoyed. I suspect you did like playing the game, at least for a while, but then lost sight of the reason you were playing it. At least you only put $30 into it. The people who put much more into it have a much harder time stopping play even though they would rather be doing a lot of other things. They don't understand the concept of sunk costs.

You are correct I did enjoy playing the games sometimes and at others times was completely frustrated. But kept on playing because I thought that I would one day have a 12 hanger and not be bashed around so much and then be able to really enjoy the game. So imagine how I feel about them taking the game to another unreachable level/bot dimension

Go in game, find the components, click buy now, you'll see a pop up saying how much. Ludicrous money, but I guess if you want to use money on a dying game, it's up to you. If people are spending this much $$$$$$ on the game, it is far from dying. The demise of World of Tanks has been predicted for YEARS, yet it still keeps chugging along making lots of $$$. The Russians have figured out how to milk the cash out of the capitalist swine. And they are doing so by the bucketload.

The non-spending player will become more and more scarce, as there become less and less reasons for a non-spender to continue playing. Then it will just be a game filled mostly with whales beating on each other. Low player base but still high revenue. That is what I would consider a dead game.

Some examples: One guy has only 3k wins, I have almost 7.7k wins but it is going to take me another year to get to where he’s at with regular upgrade times and bot thru offers. I am going to quit this game but I want to know how I can help others quit this sick unfair game as well and that Pix gets to learn a good lesson... I wish I wish...

RicePattyDaddy posts on this forum, once in a while. I had 2 battles against Tennets today. 1st there was 2 of us in a squad, and we get steamrolled. 2nd, with a full clan squad of 6 we turned him over. Team play...felt good.

Well this game was created for the developers to make a profit, not as some kind of charitable institution. And since this isn't a socialist regime, there is no limit on how much profit they can make. Welcome to pure capitalism. I am pretty much a non-spending player that played on Android and now Facebook. I like game play with bots at level 6. Not everyone playing this is a hard core gamer. I consider a "dead game" as a game with NO or very few gamers. Think Armored Warfare. And this game is far from that. The wait times to get into a battle are quite short. And that is for a 24 hour period. So there is no shortage of players. What I DO see is a lot of sour grapes from people who WANT the best stuff, but aren't willing to spend the $$$ to get it. Oh well...go mow lawns or shovel so or work a second job if you want to spend more $$$ on the game.

They are smart and figured out how to do it easily. I don't hold that against them. And again...no socialist restrictions on how much profit they make. Are you going to limit them to a certain amount of money they earn? And how is it "ruining" the gaming world? If anything, it is providing a service to those that want to game. Nobody is forcing you to spend money on the game. You do so by your own free will. If you can't control your spending, that isn't their fault.

They are there to take advantage of people who are in an unfortunate situation and there is no law like socialism stopping them from making as much profit as they can. Any new invention can create a monopoly in the market, even a new medicine e.g. Just because people do not have an alternative and have to buy from you because you have the new invention doesn't mean that should charge as much as you want for your new invention. Just look at the story of one of the most hated characters in the U.S. - Martin Shkreli. Well he definitely had intelligence and certainly was in a capitalistic society... What they are doing is wrong because they are manipulating a lot of people's psychology and well known theories of "gamification" to make way more money than they would if they considered what is good and fair for the players. In a capitalist world it is not illegal to only think about the profit of course. But doesn't mean that it is ethical and it doesn't mean that the customers will not even complain about it. Lastly, as far the gaming industry is concerned, I think it would be a nightmare to all the gamers in the world if the major labels looked at Pix's balance sheets and decided to go their route maximizing their profits beyond imagination where a $300 plus robot makes sense.

Look....the bots are there to buy or not buy. It's your CHOICE. Nobody is holding a gun to your head forcing you to buy the bots or play the game. If you don't like the situation, make like a tree and leave. All the whining in the world isn't going to change squat. The Russians aren't going to look at this forum and say "oh my...raah has a good point. Lets stop charging so much and not pay the developers and graphics artists any more. You would probably consider Nintendo's Fire Emblem Heroes a dead game as well. It has far less downloads than War Robots, but is at the moment of writing, #2 in Google Play charts in Gross Revenue. (War Robots has collapsed to #71 by the way). This is a real gacha whale game with people collecting husbandus and waifus.

The fact players are throwing huge stores of gold and WSP at this was intentional by Pixonic. They wanted to reset the economy, so when the next round of content comes out, you'll have to spend cash. It's a whale's game now.
