Anybody think they should just revert back to the old matchmaking system? I am undecided on this. I do think it is sad that the different play styles of the old tiers are no longer easily accessible to players that have higher bot/weapons. I used to enjoy switching my hangar to play with newbs in my clan at the bronze tier while they built up their weapons on light bots. I also played a medium bot (AG bots) hangar in silver with most of my clan mates can some real life friends that don't have weapons and bots for gold tier yet. Now I just don't imagine it is worth trying to manage my Elo to get to a place where I can use any of those lower hangars any more. This also means I won't be playing with my friends that aren't near the TT for ages while they build their hangars. That is the source of my sadness. I may need to adjust my regular squad buddies to only include other players that have hangars to match my best line up... |

Yes go back. As nice as it is getting 2000Au and 40m silver in 2 days, I miss silver tier and silver tier clan battles.

Anybody think they should just revert back to the old matchmaking system? yeah, go back but just make it so lvl 27-30 pilots can't get matched up with pilots below lvl 25 and implement the 2.5 changes....that seems like it would solve many of the issues. this new MM is problematic for so many. |

Anybody think they should just revert back to the old matchmaking system? this is the best idea, but im not seeing PX will do this, this game is starting to become pay2win. they nerf the silvers, so players who want to go up need to pay premium. now with the new system, almost all of the match you will get hammered because you're not strong enough. continuous lose = no gold reward = no lance / no galahad / no Fury / no orkans. new players need to spend real money to buy golds to become competitive. |

i hope RUIN can share what they found about the new ios MM.. I'm sure altruistic community-interest research is at the very top of their list of priorities... I was just playing around, I plan on compiling my findings at some point and posting them to this forum. I know many of you will find them extremely interesting  Those who are in the same discord rooms as me probably saw a bit of it already. The results of that one POTH posted show how easily manipulated this new system is despite all the insistence from many learned folks on this forum that Elo is more foolproof than that. And that is now an additional way in the new system clubbing will still go on. While I was hoping otherwise, I kinda thought former gep pilots would figure it out, and they did within 48 hours. Since many under estimate those pilots' desires to keep winning as they are smart, understand the game very well, are adaptable and very indignant about this MM change, those learned colleagues on this forum are going to be shocked to some degree on what these pilots are willing to do to get back to environments where they are in more control of their outcomes.....and what metrics they really care about. Oh well, that is not a game I'm interested in playing but I bet we will see many join in once it becomes more widely known - I'll leave it to others to share it as I won't. I hear the cries now of "it wasn't so bad in the old days of just seal clubbing with mag geps".....based on what is now transpiring, I believe that cry will only get louder. Crap. |
