at 77% winning rate i got destrier(with spiral) and cossacks(with molotv) as team partners, disgusting... i force leaving battle and drop winning rate to 40% and allies finally got same bots as our opponents...
so far the higher the winning rate is not increasing enemy's hangar rate, but reducing my allies' hangar rate... if was in the gepard era i wouldnt care cuz enemy's hangar would have leo at worst scenario... but now... man destrier with spiral against lancelot with ancile...
i really have no fun increasing winning rate because of that... (at the beginning i was at 96% and was having these kind of allies against those kind of enemies...)
is that just me?
another interesting fact is that my hangar relies in plasma weaponry (i have thunder as well but only 2 carnage else is plasma), out of nowhere my opponents hangar has A LOT OF shielded bots, is this part of the script? before i had a griffin db that never used and i didnt encounter enemies' hangar that has so many shielded bots (i can guarantee it was 1/3 or less than now i am facing)

The old MM system had it major flaws but it rewarded winning and good hangers. There was no benefit for loosing. Players wanted to upgrade their hangers because it would mean more wins and that means $ for Pix. Now there is an benefit for loosing, a penalty for winning and a better hanger does not mean you will win more. What was Pix thinking? There should be no benefit for loosing or leaving early, you should never want to loose. The "Leaving early" issue is a result of a deeply flawed MM system (don't get me started). Pix should not penalize their way out of this issue, but fix the MM.
I do not like idea of penalties but I would choose that you can not start a new battle until the one you left early is finished and/or you can rejoin the battle if you get disconnected. You could move on to a new battle if all your bots were destroyed. There would have to be some sort of ejecting early rule, like you can eject out of only two bots per game or you need to stay in each bot for 1 min unless you were destroyed by the red team.

I'm against it. There are many reasons to leave, from connection hiccups, to the real world intruding, to seeing a wall of rhinos or artillery bots landing around you, to discovering you're facing a 5 player clan of 12/12, or just not wanting or having time for a full ten minute Yamantau slog fest.
Plus there's already a penalty. I was at 96% win when the new matchmaker kicked in and I was getting killed with one shot. Rather than endure constant massacres I joined and instantly left battles until I was back down to 60% (and finally seeing a chance of survival). It was then that I noticed my silver had plummeted into negative numbers.
Fleeing without doing anything leaves you with your bot repair cost and no income. 20K for a light bot. As I discovered, that adds up fast.
People deserting to lower their stats will occur so long as that is an option. With a penalty, they'll just sit there instead rather than flee (and then we'll see a poll for penalizing people with 0 damage and 0 beacons at the end of a battle).
I find being lumped with players with only four or even just three bots in their hanger far more detrimental. You fight for an entire battle and then see your whole squad vanish because their last bot just got melted and now you're stuck facing a full squad. Often I just leave when it's five against one even though I have a couple of bots left. This would mean being penalized for not wanting to be lit up from every direction for a few more minutes.

I'll admit: I wanted to find common ground with you here, but couldn't get past the attitude that I had a hard time not labeling as cowardice. Ultimately, I couldn't find one excuse for leaving that I agreed with you on. "Play the game start to finish the way I want or I'll leave." I just didn't even agree with the fundamental premise. Random, mostly unrelated question: pre-change you were piloting a hangar of Geps, right? 4/12s?

Cowardice, boredom, frustration, whatever. I don't mind taking a kicking (or three) but absolute one shot slaughter feels like a decent reason to depart a battle (and do something to try and change that state of affairs), or if it's just going to suck.
I'm not that committed to the game to play every single battle to the bitter end. I don't think it's an amazing idea to penalize people just because they hit 'to battle' and discover a lame scenario (maxed clan, feeble team mates, map that's just not worth the time commitment).
As to hanger, I only had two geps (one loaded with aphid, one with pinatas), a couple of vits, and either a cossack or a golem depending on whether the day's missions demanded beacons or kills, all bots with weapons two or three levels higher than the bot (I'm now running a stalker, galahad, golem, rhino, vityaz combo).
While I don't miss the relentless trio magnum barrage of five hanger 12/4 geps, I do miss the speed of my previous hanger matches. Sprinting about, hurling missiles, capturing beacons and then bringing out the mediums if things started turning into a real brawl.
Now that my line up is a bit slower, my finger strays more easily to 'leave battle' when I look out upon the snow because it's going to take a lot longer to cross the distances I used to cover much more quickly. I could get a couple of Dead City or Power Plant bashes in while I'm trudging towards the center.
A penalty seems a great idea to a lot of people, but I'm a war robot dilettante and it wouldn't work for me.

2 main things they should do. 1. If you quit it adjusts your performance rating UP instead of down so you face tougher opponents. 2. If you quit you get no rewards. Nothing.
Lastly, give 1 gold to anyone who stays to the bitter end and 1 more if they mech out and STILL stay. Also 1 event token thing during events.
2 sticks and 2 carrots.
I play @wotblitz and they have one simple solution. There IS NO LEAVE OPTION. Sure if you are really serious you can just quit the app. The problem is that the game lets you do this - it gives you buttons to do it and then tells you you'll get your rewards after anyway. On top of that they let you jump into another battle before the first one finishes! The fastest way to earn coins right now is probably to jump in, do a bit of damage and cap a beacon, say 2 minutes, then leave and hit Battle again. They completely legitimize leaving early within the game. The first step is to remove the menu options to quit. The second step is to communicate in the app that leaving means no rewards, that you will face tougher opposition next game, and that if you stay there is a reward.
All of the incentives right now are to leave immediately if you think you are going to lose and it is legitimized in the game and even rewarded. Fix the incentives and don't legitimize it and it won't be a problem anymore.

....so why would they ever change to satisfy a dilettante, anyhow? more than that, how did he find out the change in the MM? makes no sense. i dont know how it will work out by removing the leaving option guys... i dont play the one u said but i assume that it never had the leaving option... it may be good, it may be bad, if it is bad it will be disastrous at the beginning and companies want to see more often than not immediate cash. just by removing the penalty/reward of leaving the battle (reduce of winning rate) should be enough with the current meta, yeah people will keep leaving but they will keep battling with the same lvl of enemies/allies.

I'm a war robot dilettante and it wouldn't work for me. ....so why would they ever change to satisfy a dilettante, anyhow? No need to change... the game satisfies dilettantes in its current form. But to answer your question, I'm sure Pix benefits from the largest pool possible at any time to enable better match-making. Driving away any segment altogether is probably undesirable - and doing so with punishments for not committing to 10 minute matches is likely to discourage a fair amount of activity from people who are at risk of interruption, even if their interruptions are infrequent. The dilettantes may help satisfy the people who expect 70+ winning percentages without trying very hard (oops, wrong thread). The best approach is to minimize the reasons for people intentionally dropping, such as perceived farming benefits or grossly noncompetitive matches that promise 9 minutes of boredom. It's much tougher to design out real-life interruptions or connection problems (although there is much room for improvement in the game's resiliency dealing with spotty connections), but I don't think leaving matches was considered a major problem before gold farmers decided to try tanking their way back to clubbing. Perhaps once the new matchmaking algorithm is better understood - and assuming that there IS no farming/clubbing benefit to leaving games early - dropped matches might cease to be a significant concern.

Id have fought tooth and nail for penalties before the update, but now, if ive run halfway across a map for a beacon and turn to meet up with the guys running for center to find them all at spawn, feck that im out... all that time spent for beacons instead of damage to lose anyways cause everyones trying to get only firzt place, imma find a real group of players... of all the cheese reasons ive heard for people bailing on fights i say string em up, but im running lvl 8 bots, im not gonna waste time in fights against titans... i want coins too pix
I also like to play balls to the wall... if i mech out in 6 mins and find at the end i was the only guy fighting for beacons, no, you dont get to complain that youre left alone on the field, its war robots.. not snipe robots, go play a sniper game, not a War Robots... Machines desinged to cary weapons to battle... i like to see, or not see through, the smoke and explosions i make... and even dance on dead bots i just knifed...

There should be no benefit for loosing or leaving early, you should never want to loose. The "Leaving early" issue is a result of a deeply flawed MM system (don't get me started). Leaving early isn't a symptom of a poor MM. It's an exploit of the event rewards. So, no need to get started. Some players see a benefit to leaving early several times in a row mostly because the MM system will place them in easer and more winnable matches (that is the reward for some players). This is making it less fun for everyone. Every time I see a player our early I ask "did that guy just bailout? That is so lame." Maybe he was just over matched with light bots. Or he has won several in a row and MM decided he needed to loose one or two badly. The MM begins the flawed process and promotes leaving early for some pilots. Poor MM scheme. The MM should promote all pilots to do their best all the time. Pilots should want to improve their skills.

i am a farmer so quitting is part of the job, but i do agree with no penalty it makes farming so effective... What do you mean? Specifically, we are talking about people who are trying to manipulate the new MM by dropping their win percentage and getting 2 coins for the current New Years event by starting and then dropping a match in about a minute or less. if you are farming, you won't get gold by leaving matches that early

Actually if you quit a battle, no matter when (early, middle, last moment) you dont recieve coins, it was also in the christmas event war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/1972/looks-new-mm-backin the link yoy can see some pics of some matches notice that the last players dont get coins, because they quit

I don't get how flawed pilots mean that the MM is flawed.

My 3 year old loves the game on certain maps, so he leaves as soon as he sees it isn't the one(of two) he likes. I would much rather penalties for those who don't do anything during a battle. Like just stand there doing absolutely nothing. Not Anything they need penalties.

Here's an interesting question: Why are people quitting? Is it for stupid reasons? Could some of their reasons be valid? Suddenly realizing there are two snipers and a zenit / noricom Natasha on your team in dead city... some greed head trying to snipe what is indisputably your beacon to get... some joker behind you firing off mags into the back of your head and following you... observing a teammate walk straight into a wall, empty all their ammo and then just stand there for thirty seconds. How about when you try to make good use of your speed bot by generously heading off to cap a beacon in the middle of nowhere and a teammate is following you? You give him a polite single shot to say "don't worry, I got this. Head for the center beacon" and he doesn't acknowledge you at all, acting as if teams don't exist and he is the only person playing the game. How about when your entire team heads off in some direction together that doesn't even really make sense, like a mindless sheep herd? The list goes on and on of things miscreants, jerks, and plain old morons will do in the game. After a few thousand matches you start to grow weary of being teamed up with clowns and your quite finger gets itchy. I'm not sure people should be punished harshly for making rational decisions or not suffering fools. When my games working again I would so like to play with you, all of those morons drive me nuts. I wish I could add them to my kills.

Anyone who leaves should face tougher MM the next round basically. Penalize leaving early by making the next match harder. I'm generally opposed to penalizing leaving early... but this is actually not unreasonable as a counter to intentional tanking. The only penalty for leaving early is knowing you'll face a match at least as hard as the one you just left.
