We have cajoled, begged, asked, threatened Pixonic to fix their game and return it to what it once was. To no avail. I give up. Today I uninstalled War Robots from my iPad; that's my main (Ron Gaul) account. Still have my secondary Jan Egeland account on my phone, but...unless something changes drastically, I won't be back to my main account. And I only play on my secondary account when I'm really dang bored.
What finally brought this on was the realization, as I tried to download the new update, that I really didn't care any more. I've been playing two other games lately, and spend almost no time on War Robots. The time I do spend, I don't enjoy. I've played Domination Mode almost exclusively since the release of BR, and now that DM is essentially a thing of the past (since Pix seems determined to do everything the majority of their player base does NOT want), I have even less incentive to stay.
And anyway, even DM is hardly enjoyable any longer. I'm in Expert 3, running L8-10 gear (mostly 8-9). I'm prime pickings for maxed Champion and Master hangars; with their gear being anywhere from 20-30% stronger than mine, fighting is a joke. There is no way I can avoid encountering such opposition, either; I have a 50% chance of being evenly matched or laughably - hilariously - outgunned.
I tried swapping in a "fun" hangar of oddball misfit mechs; sadly, that just made it more insanely mismatched. When you run an L5 Patton with L7 Gekkos, and an L6 Fury with L6-7 Zeus, and STILL go up against maxed hangars on a routine basis...where's the fun in that?
Still planning on sticking around the forum for a while, so this isn't technically a Farewell thread. I do plan on installing Battle Titans when it's released, so I hope to see a bunch of familiar faces there.
War Robots...for me, it's just not fun any more. And that's the whole reason to play a game. I don't have $300 to throw at a Dash or Inquisitor; nor do I have sufficient patience to be continually beaten down for months in a possibly futile effort to acquire one of those mechs. Pixonic has shown their opinion of players like myself, and their opinion is a good-sized turd. I don't like the smell in Pix's crapper. I'm out.
See y'all around.

Well, I actually have good time being in expert 3, almost 2. Iike you, my gear is 8-9, bots 7, one 8. Yes, every one in a while (like one of eight games) my team got annihilated by champs, giving me -22, but most of other games seems pretty fair, giving me steady income of league points (I run brawler hangar, dont play TDM). Unfortunately, I dont have time resources to team with my squad (just got a kid), so I keep game open on my pc emulator, and play a game when circumstances allows (for now), so dont know how it is in expert squads. Anyhow, sorry that you have to leave, have fun in other games!

shagot, I'm iOS. If you're Android, that might be a difference. For me, I've been getting either Champion/Master maxed hangars or else beating up on poor suckers from Platinum and Gold. And on my secondary account I kick the bejeebers out of Gold with a hangar half the level of my main one. True story - the last three games I played, two were against full six-man clans from Champion. My teams, meanwhile, were made up of a bunch of comparative suckers (myself included. A random squad of two Champs, an Expert and three Platinum stands less than no chance against a team of six Champion clan mates. Were they more skilled? Very possibly. However skill levels become a colossal joke at that point; they could pretty much mail it in and still trample us, because only two of my teammates were in comparable gear levels. Playing under such circumstances - which had become the norm - is quite simply a waste of my time. Thanks all for the kind regards. Again, this isn't a farewell thread; I plan on sticking around the community at least until BT is released. From there we shall see. The point of this thread, I guess, is simply to voice my frustration and let there be another voice in the War Robots community stating "I uninstalled the game because the devs have ruined it, and here's why." I still hope for this game to make a comeback, but I don't expect it will. Still, if enough people post stuff like this, who knows but it might affect something. Again, doubtful. But nothing will happen if everyone does nothing.

Champion isn't champion. There are 9/9 champs at 5000 points like me (actually 9/10) and those 8000+ guys with dashes and maxed/partial MKII hangars.
Sure I'm getting wiped out bye those, but I can still enjoy those matches, as I usually am in the top 2. I admit that is beyond competitive playing, but still fun.

And another one bites the dust. Ron Gaul was a vigorous advocate for the Rhino, especially before the buff when Pixonic really needed Rhino advocates. He wrote (on this forum!) the best thread on the Rhino I have ever seen and was an active proponent for Pixonicâs product. Hell, every time I used to run my Rhino I would think of Rongaulius. Ron, your departure from the game is yet another loss for this community. These arenât casual chumps leaving, these are members of a loyal player base. Remember the name Pixonic. Actively avoid their products in the future. Itâs the only logical and meaningful protest against a company that not only ignores its loyal player base, but as Ron so aptly said, they 「dookie」 on them from a great height. They WILL learn the error of their ways. Unfortunately they seem hell bent on learning it only when thereâs nothing left they can do about it

I am in the same situation, 9/10 hangar on expert iOS. Since October started i log in every day and play one match, if i see more than one 12/12 hangar in the opponents team after the match finished i quit and play war wings for the day. Guess how often i had more than 1 match in War Robots this month? Once...out of 24 and counting.

Here comes another nail to the coffin. Sorry to hear ya go Ron Gaul, but seems it's rather inevitable for most of us. Odd, is I went the exact same way: 9/9hangar, I stopped caring for the game > played less > made fun-hangar attempt > parted ways with the app > made "not exactly farewell" > now I'm casually visiting forums (more fun than the app lol). Stick around for a bit - watching the game "development" *cough-cough* from a back seat is way less stressing PS: I still have my app installed iirc, but not even updated afaik.

Wow, level 8-9 equipment and in Expert? I've given up trying to climb the leagues, but I'm still slowly upgrading my equipment. I'm going to be a clubber one day in diamond/gold with all maxed equipment! lol....nah, I'll likely give up by then too when I run out of silver and can't conjure up the motivation to play. Sad to see you go, but I know the feeling. I've been playing less and less myself.

Sometimes I get frustrated by ridiculous price of components, especially matchmaking. However, I'm gonna stay in War Robots. I don't know Pixonic will make it more better or even more worse. I hope Battle of Titans doesn't looks like that.

There is a difference between being able to "keep up" and having a working matchmaking system that pits players with comparable equipment level into one match. The same difference between still being able to grind some silver and gold and having fun.

I started Expert iOS at 9/10, and I felt I "made it". Now I moved up to Master with 9/10.5 hanger, and started besting lots of Champions and moving up rank fast. I would agree. There are an abundance of players in Platinum who have maxed hangars, and I can fight them on equal footing. Expert...eh, it gets trickier, but still possible. However there's a difference between a maxed hangar of Leo's and Griffins and a maxed hangar of Ancilots. Which is typically the difference between Platinum and Champion; we can all agree that while a maxed Leo is a bast, it's no Lancelot. And now, there's the Dashes and Inquisitors thrown in, which are inherently superior to just about everything else. No, levels alone don't kill me; it's the combination of level, baseline gear superiority, and player skill/coordination. On a perpetually repetitive basis. I could cope with any one of those things, by itself; however as a trio, it's too much. Again, I don't like being a seal for a Champ clan's club. I will also say that there have been times when I was steamrolled by skill alone, by a player who vastly outclassed me even without better gear. In those instances, getting handed my butt never bothered me; I enjoyed watching a pro work, and learning from them. You don't get better without losing. Except, now nothing changes no matter how much you lose. I do not have the patience to earn a maxed hangar, just to provide even more damage points for some slob in a Champ clan who paid $1000 to have a hangar he can't lose with. It's not the losing that discourages me; it's the manner in which I lose, and the pattern Pixonic has shown to be their new plan for the future.
