Hey guys, relatively "new" player here. I got into it in December and now that I've found all these resources that have helped me get better and actually compete, I'm pretty hooked. So thank you guys for all sharing your knowledge and experience. I quickly saw how a lot of my strategies were flawed, such as trying to make my bots versatile with a short, mid, and long range weapon. I am debating whether I should start over at this point though because I made some critical mistakes along the way like wasting gold to speed upgrades, etc. Other bonehead moves were selling my Leo for a Boa instead of just keeping it in inventory, and upgrading my bots to the same level as my weapons. What are your thoughts? Keep plugging along? Rip it all down and start over?
BTW my gamer ID is desim8a so see you out in the wild.

hi desim8a my experience is having all my bots as kill bots. i usually dont do beacons so i run a leo with thunder lvl 6, two magnums one lvl 6 the other 5 and an ee aphid. (tho if ur a sniper get a gekko, not an aphid) a natasha with two lvl 5 thunders, a molot and a pin, and a griffin with two tulumnas es a pin and a pinata so my griffin is a hit and run bot. my id is Whoosh Booms and im lvl 21. im also working on changing my griffin into a golem with a taran, thunder and magnum.

Hi welcome to the forums. A lot of folks try to make multi purpose bots at first so it's not really a dumb mistake. In games like battle tech where a pilot only has one mech you want weapons to use at every range. Here where you can switch bots it's better to specialise.
I would adjust and carry on. Building up from scratch won't really go quicker than replacing the stuff you want changed. I'm glad you found some useful stuff on the forums between all our bickering and complaining and I hope you continue to enjoy the game.
