What other thing...anything...would you compare a particular War Robots bot to? (Except for maybe the Rhino - too obvious)
To me the Kumiho is like Pikachu from Super Smash Bros, because of its Dash ability and aesthetics (plus being able to cast lightning with Scourges). The Griffin is like an AK-47/AKM, because it's powerful, affordable, and widespread. And the Cossack is a grasshopper, because it hops everywhere and can easily be crushed.
