Is anyone else seeing a massive surge in the amount of clubbing since the announcement of the new MM ?

ELO isn't perfect, there are ways to cheat it, clubbing will still exist.

Clubbing is still possible the mechanics just changed. Just fought a pilot with 5x 3/10 gepard win rate 92% highest win rate on blue team (me) 58% hooray for Elo. scored 4x more Damage than anyone else red or blue. Seal clubbing is a good tactic "Always meet a inferior force with a superior force" Art of war VI Tzun Tse.

Clubbers make me want to quit the game. It's not that they club me, I have Boas for that. It's the fact that they turn a game into a bully session against mostly the noobs that can put put money into the developers pockets to keep the game going.

Obviously I've run into my share of true clubbers, but in my experience they're not as prevalent as I would think from reading these forums. Most of the people I run into with Geps are like me and don't have full hangers. I go through plenty of matches without seeing a dedicated clubber. People with just a couple don't bother me at all and I don't consider them bullies. Then again I don't consider myself a bully. It's just not that difficult to take a couple of Geps from a single hanger down. Hangers with 4, or 5 are another story. Clubber squads are doom and the few times I've seen them I'll just quit. I just finished a match where there was a person that opened with a Mag Gep. I took their first Gep out, lost my Gep afterwards (over penetrated and got surrounded on respawn), flipped to a TT Boa and took out the next one. That was it. They had just two. This is why i don't see the point in quitting, as soon as a Gep is seen. I think some people get crushed a few times and simply get gun shy. I don't even think Aphids are that bad. Then again I use them and know what it takes to stop me.

I hear you Sabre, I hear you... but for evey person that gets steamrolled, I hope they don't take it to heart and come back even stronger. Im still at a loss for knowing the intrinsic value of clubbing. Don't get me wrong, I love to compete and win, but steamrolling to put up cups in bronze/Last Stand purely for volume, day after day, I just can't wrap my head around it... seems mind numbing.

I have literally decimated Cossacks with Aphids. I'll pop 'em in the air. I'll pop 'em on the ground. I'm not saying they can't be successful, just that I haven't seen it.

Most people don't use them for obvious reasons. As you've seen in the forum, there's a few of us (Salty comes to mind) that have learned what it's true potential is. Being very small and fast, if you learn how to drive it, it becomes a VERY hard target to hit given its size. Now, take that little hard to hi target and pack an upgraded Taran or Ork on it and it becomes VERY dangerous indeed. The problem is that most people only look at the HP value. Same as the Destrier, it's worth it's weight in salt at least in bronze with aaphids and magnums. The Des's problem is he can't jump

When I see Gepards, I always try to hunt them, so they can't concentrate on my random teammates. When squadding, well, let's just say, they are so DOOMed.

I think you are just seeing players working on upgrading gold tier equipment and maybe jamming in some more silver; and maybe some players are spending time on the test server as well so maxing their time on the game on their regular account to keep up trophy count. Unsure of how you see pilots running geps as "panicking" in this game. I'm not seeing anything more than just the normal chatter about PIXO nerfs and buffs and the test server changes on the silver clans' Facebook pages, Line chat areas, and other sites I'm priveleged to be a part of.
Maybe be some wishful thinking on your part? Most are waiting to see what the changes bring to figure out the game with new rules...as well as dusting off gold tier equipment they had idled because they like silver more.
Maybe you are seeing things in bronze tier that would cause your reaction....I and most of the people I know don't spend any time there so perhaps you are correct.
Cheers!

Hold me boomsplat, I'm scared. hahaha Intel Inside. I can't hold you as I'm shaking so much because of the MM changes. I was turning to zeniths and noricums in my matches to steady my nerves. Besides, if I did get my hands on you, you would just beat me to death with your mag geps you darn clubber you, just like the last 6v6 squad match I played you in. Still trying to recover from that fanny whooping by your squad. I was panicking so much over the past week that I cracked 4000 victories today while squading in low gold with my 6/9 heavy line up - displaying the awful lack of talent gep drivers have for gold tier. Cheers buddy!

I think you are just seeing players working on upgrading gold tier equipment and maybe jamming in some more silver This describes quite a few people I play with, myself included. High silver with 4/12 bots is too easy. Low gold playing with randoms is still slightly too difficult without upgrades that take forever. So we hammer silver and upgrade in the background while we wait, because winning is more fun than losing, the gold is nice, and the extra silver for winning is needed to upgrade. The MM was flawed. You can't blame the players for taking advantage of that. I hope the new MM works better. I still expect the better players to find an edge to give them the upper hand. Everyone else will copy them and we'll back to were we started.

Total respect to the best drivers, but they get chewed up in high silver/gold. Run a hanger of 2 cossacks, a desty and gep in high silver/trash gold. All 9/11...tarans on cossacks, mags on gep and aphids on desty. I do just fine. still at 6 toi 7 kills, over 400k in damage and at least 4 beacons capped. Very rarely am I meched out.

I run 5 geps level 4 with level 12 weapons crv, aphids, spirals, mags, lasers. What I found is when my clan squads together we mostly run into random teams 80% of the time. They have no selection process for clan verses clan only which I would like the best. I found that when I run solo I run into full clans more often. I'm level 30 and get teamed with players below level 20 and have to go up against clan with all level 30 players so I'm going to get clubbed. The reason I run all gep mags solo is because when I drop into battle there is 3 people dropping with zenit Natasha's which are nothing more than high damage points for the enemy team. There is also the fact that most people do not go for any beacons or even no the importance of beacons. If I want to keep my win percentage up I need to run something that is fast and can do allot of damage. The zenit Natasha's are nothing but not ticklers.
