Why is it, every other game on earth gives you the option to purchase more workers, slaves, etc. to facilitate upgrading more than one thing at a time. I would be willing to spend a little gold to be able to do two upgrades at once at least. The gold price to speed up the timer is astronomical as compared to how long it took to earn same gold. Makes me wonder how many people have quit because they just lost interest continually waiting days for a mere 10% increase....

Never spend gold on speeding on up upgrades. Wait it out and you'll see your gold count increase quickly.

You know those forms that say
Strongly agree Agree Meh Disagree Strongly disagree
?
Because on this topic I'm further than Strongly Disagree. It will slant this game even further towards the pay to win players. I haven't spent a cent on this game, but I won't say that hasn't made a difference. I've seen people who have started at the same time or after me who I now have to call senpai because they've spent money and I haven't. Now imagine what would happen if we could run multiple upgrades at a time? I'd quit the game. I seriously would. Goodbye.

There's no way I would spend gold on time Flex, it's too precious. And Salty, I see your point although p2w players already ruin a lot of parts of the game, the double upgrade would just allow them to do it quicker. Perhaps make them bored quicker and make them choose a different game to go ruin....candy crush comes to mind

I'd love that, but that's because I started a mere three months back and I'm waaay behind everyone else. I'd pay good gold for it.
That said though, this current system also isn't bad because:
1) if you play a lot, upgrades give you enough time to actually collect the AG for the next upgrade
2) watching YouTube vids of max hangars, I'm not even sure I want to play in Gold. Too damn slow, things crawl around like glaciers. HS with mediums seems a good balance of speed and power.
3) playing this way nets you a lot of experience and a diverse knowledge of bots and tactics (yours and enemies'). Which makes the game more enjoyable (pulling off a good battle plan, managing kills, surviving on little health, etc.).
So in my case, it's fine either way.
As for "p2w upgraders ruining my game"... not necessarily true, I think. People who would pay their way to the top that way would get slaughtered once they got there. It's like when you run into someone with few victories/low level but 5 Gepards with level 5 Mags, or a new Galahad or Rhino. They're completely clueless and even if they paid their way to the top, they'd just get rekt repeatedly for a good long time. Free kills for the people who've been around longer.

The developers deserve to get paid for thier efforts. Cheap people are why I have to pay so much. Buying good equipment still means you have to learn to use it:), and its up to the deity we call MM to make the judgement. Getting into the top tiers/level/rating....etc is a very good way to skip the trolls/testosterone laden teens and most of the sillyness.

The developers deserve to get paid for thier efforts. Cheap people are why I have to pay so much. Actually, those "cheap people" provide most of the content you are purchasing. How much do you think the developer has spent making the platform? How much do you think it would cost to make an AI as capable and unpredictable as your non-paying opposition? Be grateful that free-to-play makes it possible to enjoy engaging competition every time you open the app, enabling enough paying players to find value-on-demand that they choose to pay collectively for platform development. No business would promote freeloading unless there was a compelling need for associated activity. In this case it provides a deep pool of PvP competition for your entertainment.
