so i have 5 slot hangar. i have db griffin plasma griffin thunder carnage i am planning to go 6/8 in my slots for now (right now i am using gepards 1/8 with different weaponry, and i know that the transition from gepards to anything else is a really bad experience) any advise for the other 2 bots and what setups? i was thinking either trident/zeus fury and a rocket galahad. i know wsp bots increase my hangar value can you give me an advise what lvl my carnage should be so it wont mess me up?? i think i read that shielded bots also has a penalty for hangar so i would like some advise there as well... thanks for your time

Hi. I think it depends if you clan or play solo. Clanning entails having to configure your hangar according to the overall needs of the clan, which is to say people have a specific function. Playing solo's different since you kind of have to be ready for whatever. I love knife fighting but I realize I also need mid range support so employ a trident fury together with the usual suspects: galahads, griffins, and rhinos. An alternative to a trident fury would be an RDB griffin or a trident carnage. I do prefer TT Carnage because of the bot's speed, mobility, and the trident's relatively short reload time (as compared with tulumbas, etc)—but that's mostly preference. So there. Like knife fighting exclusively? Go all out. Want a bit of balance? Then introduce ONE mid-ranger (but not a sniper).
EDIT: Didn't get a chance to address Zeus. Leveled up, it's good for mid range, but I prefer tridents since it'll kill anything--shield or no shield and it's cheaper.

Only one penalty, if you have a carnage you already have it.
Plasma Galahad first and foremost. Rocket galahad is more limited. Good from where you are up to top. Then you need a midrange. RDB Griffin is all silver. either that or two tridents on your carnage.

O.o i also thought tht db griffin was more knife than midrange hmmm... so galahad doesnt has penalty because of shields? hmmmm did i dreamed about it having a penalty? interesting... hahahaha

Plasma Galahad only has two problems: Mid range Red bots Head to head vs other shield bots. The other option for Galahad is the "Right Hand Smack" (Orkan/2xPinatas), that set-up will make facing other shield bots a lot less challenging, but, it will also put you in the 300M engagement range against all bots, meaning DB rhinos, Griffins, and even the humble Patton become an even bigger threat. If you're just swapping in to silver, I wouldn't suggest running heavy bots with penaltied bots. 3/8 should be fine if you're running penalty bots and only have lv 8 weapons. If your heavy bot's weapons are lv 8 as well, you should bring your medium bots to 7/9

RDB griffin is midrange and all silver because it doesn't take gold or wsp to pay for it. Griffin, tullumbas and pins are all standard silver parts. Plasma galahad can stay between 300 and 350 meters away which is where your most dangerous rockets can't reach. Right hand smack (orkan + pinatas) needs to get within 300m. Galahad has a penalty, but it doesn't stack on top of the carnage penalty. If you are running a carnage you are already running at a penalty. Vs other shield bots with plasma Galahad. Retreat, get behind a corner, anything. You may win one on one but it will be at the expense of a lot of health. Better to take on a more suitable opponent and come back with a rocket bot.

PS. Don't get a trident fury at this point. Get an all medium hanger and learn to use it. Save your gold for when you know how to run that.

XDDD

XDDD All medium 4/8 is low silver. heavy 6/8 is high silver. Just get a bunch of cheap silver bots (recommend boa and golem) as a way of learning how to use them and leveling weapons that can be used later on.

PS. Everything will feel really slow compared to the gepards. That's ok!

I'm starting my transition as well from 2 Cossacks and 3 Gepards to a medium hangar. So far I have a Golem with Thunder, Orkan Pinata (TOP Golem), and a plasma Golem with Thunder, Taran, Magnum.
WOW it's hard to transition to much slower bots. Especially with me keeping my Aphid Gepard around.
