Pulse Hadron - you will likely prefer Tarans to Orkans on your Rog if you do get one. With its speed and jumping, you inevitably end up sparring with Geps, Cossaks, or Gary, and the rockets are not ideal for hitting those fast moving red guys you meet at distant beacons. But with the Tarans, the Rog usually keeps the beacon.
Either that, or I am not very good at aiming rockets...

But with the Tarans, the Rog usually keeps the beacon. Either that, or I am not very good at aiming rockets... In my experience, fast bots are harder to learn how to hit with Orks... but once you learn how far to lead according to their speed, you can usually take them down very quickly with 2 Orks on a Rog... And the Gary, especially, is resilient to Tarans, so makes this worth trying to get down. That said, I think I would try my best to ambush them with small increments of the Ork magazine as they changed direction, came around corners, or stopped altogether, as leading and missing can leave you in a bad spot. The splash does help, but since they are so fast and the Ork splash so small, you are less likely to do damage if you achieve a near miss than if you were using 500m or 600m splash. Cossacks, however, are much harder to deal with if driven by a competent pilot. Taran would definitely be easier for them no matter what target lead skills you may have. Even though it is possible to hit them in the air with an Ork, it ain't easy unless, maybe, you jump with them, and Cossacks can almost continually jump. Tarans treat jumping bots like a honey badger treats life... They don't give a ?poo-poo?.

So you are saying my half circle spin, holding down the fire button on the Orks, screaming a primal roar, and spraying rockets across 180 degrees of terrain is not the recommended technique?

So far for me, I've found the butch has been somewhat useful. I'm currently in mid to high silver with 5 hangar slots, I use a 2x kwk 2x thunder setup on my butch. Though I am looking forward to the buff they will be getting. Not sure if I should upgrade butch to level 6 or his weapons higher. Though I suppose the new mm will change that as well.

Saw a Jesse today, more pathetic than a lvl 4 Destrier in high gold. Fired its Aphids, switched to punishers for a couple of seconds, and then folded. Didn't even get to the ridiculous cool down period. Just give me a fast mini-patton, and a faster standard Patton. A Griffin MKII with quad Med points would be sweet.
