Your clan requirement says "Disregard the ridiculous 'league' ranking and just have fun". Although I have never heard this, that is how I play and I think that you should try that too. Just relax.

There is nothing "fun" about the LQ. Anyone who thinks it is is a sadist who either likes being stomped or likes stomping those weaker than themselves. Although in saying that I must be just a bit of a sadist since I really enjoy screwing over the very highly upgraded players in there by intentionally using just my sniper and artillery bots and not caring whether my teams win or not. Just so long as I get the damage I need to not be considered as leaving matches I'm done doing anything else in there.

Well, I haven't ever been there and I don't really know what I'm talking about, so I'll take your word for it.

I don't exactly wanna pick a fight here guys, and I do agree with regards tankers... But you CANNOT tell me anyone leaving the beginnings of a match (for whatever reason is typical - disliking the map being the favourite probably) or standing still doing ZILTCH throughout is completely unuware that they're doing something wrong! Yes they may not be aware of LQ and all the technicalities, but leaving your team one man down, that alone should give people pause! If players are so selfish as to never consider this, well more power to them as they suffer. I spent the first six months off and on that I played the game completely unaware it was a multiplayer game. So yes, it is quite possible that many have no clue at all since like myself they just saw something that looked interesting and downloaded it without bothering to read diddly-squat about it. This was long before the LQ and there is no telling how many people I enraged during that period. I never just assume anything about the other players, how they play or their abilities. Oooookay... Maybe your situation was / is a little unusual. Dunno how many would be that... Sheltered? Buffered? Isolated? Uninformed? Unexposed? Somewhere there's an adjective that suits...

MenagerylDeliberately uninformed. I had far more important priorities at that time than worrying about game rules and such. I didn't give a sh*t to read about it or any other games I had downloaded then because they were just time wasters for me while I waited for my truck to be loaded/unloaded, or while taking a dump.

It is VERY fun to hear. And the reason is that I was under the impression that War Robots is a single player, too. For several weeks. Because I don't play much (usually it's 1-2 games per year), so my previous one, RealRacing, was single player with ability to play with real people. Sooooo I though in War Robots you COULD participate in a multiplayer mode, but usual mode is single player practice. Soooo I'm kind of with you on that HEATHEN HERETIC

That's why I think Pixonic should have a mandatory tutorial to play through the first 5 levels. There's probably many more players out there who have no clue about the games they download due to many factors. Like Russel I expected a dual aspect to playability in this game that isn't there although it would be a huge benefit to this game. Especially for the disconnects. And how many times has one wanted to strangle a group of players who forget about the beacons? That is the one thing I've never forgotten about in any match I've played in even when I was playtarding.

And would I be able to use Destrier with 2 Spirals instead of Spiral+Molot?) so I start the battle, got into the fight, don't like the new setup, leave the game. No biggie, it's just the stupid computer bots - it's obvious that real players won't be so stupid about the beacons, right? And in some time, when I saw the forum\wiki sites, I realized it's multiplayer at all times. Except for it isn't. Turned out first several battles WERE actually simulated. And I'm fallen under the impression lately that Pix is introducing A.I. controlled bots now, like Battle of Titans is doing. But that's completely different story.

RusselI wondered about AIs in the LQ because of the numbers of 2-15 level players in there, but I've been able to invite some of them to my clan. That means that at least some are not AIs. I find it reprehensible that Pixonic would dare to place those people in the LQ because of its own inequities.

I was in expert II about 3 weeks ago before the event .then was given a tip by a clan member that to complete event tasks you have to select maps (short range only ) so through the whole event I'd only play short maps and leave long range maps before starting . I then learned about 10 days ago about LQ and that I was in it . I thought the MM had just gone crazy during the event lol. So for the last 8 days I've played well over a 100 games and not left a single one . But I'm still stuck in LQ. others in the the clan who play far more than me who had done the same managed to get out of LQ in just a few days . I seem to be the only member who can't get back out . How long should it take on average to get out . I did move up to champions league while in LQ but I never completed the whole event tasks . Really don't like being stuck in LQ games are getting really boring I want some good competitive games again. I was in lq too just 1. Enter a random match 2. Change robot until 1 robot remains 3. *important* Go to reds and damage some (10k would do it) 4. Let reds kill you 5. After you die exit battle 6. REPEAT This is fastest way to exit lq I did it like that

I saw this on the opposing team in a match recently in the LQ... Notice that these have almost the same name with identical hangers but different ranks. AIs? One person playing two profiles? Twins playing around using the same setups? I might have have though one of the latter options except that these two were not squading. They aren't even clan members. And if it was one player they managed decent scores with both hangers in the same match. My theory is that Pixonic is experimenting with AIs using the LQ as their test bed. Random matches have been taking inordinately long periods of time to generate. Several times I've let the timer run for over an hour just to see if it will ever start. Got bored and canceled the countdown to battle so I never did find out. But these cancels are probably causing my karma counts to be reset back to zero and continuing to screw me over in getting out of the LQ.?

I've stated my tinfoil hat theory on Deplorables, so far it's holding up good. In short:
1) too few players lately. Expert+ and higher are compressed with higher leagues. 2) leavers are the plague of the game 3) too long matchmaking is no good. 4) single play training mode for games without internet and practice are good.
So those are the reasons. Now the evidence.
1) Too many players with default names, no clan, no FB, no chat\squad ability. 2) Some of the players are doing stupid things like shooting Taran\Magnum at 400+ meters, shooting a wall, walking into the wall for the whole game. 3) Some players who wander through the map, shooting at the enemy, not grabbing HOME beacons (I talk Diamond1+Expert players here), and at the same time they are laying 100% hits when I try to shoot them. 4) Guys who don't know how "range" works (again, Expert-Champs players) - I was shooting Punishers from 420m at the Lance who was shooting Tarans at me, standing still, until I killed him finally. 5) Obviously, Pix is stealing a lot from BoT (think stupid UI, crashed spaceship on the map, flying robot), and recently BoT announced the introduction of A.I. bots.
So that's my take. Please add up if you got something.

Then my own theory that Pixonic has become desperate with their special sales is also seeming to be a reality. Too few players means they've managed to run off most of their core players and regular sources of income are drying up. The people claiming that Pixonic is doing fine on the stock market tend to forget that War Robots is but one of their products.
A while back I made the claim that Pixonic was deliberately tanking the game in order to destroy it. If they've run enough players off by use of those ridiculous leagues and its tie in with the matchmaker they might succeed at doing it very soon. I've lost a huge number of potential squadmates from my FaceBook game profile in the last two months as they have announced their departures from the game. And overall it's frustration with that sh*tty brown MM has been the biggest complaint in causing them to quit playing. A lot more just do not appear in my Friends squad lists anymore, it's about 1/4 what is was at its highest count.
The game has a lot of potential in both brawling and strategic gameplay but Pixonic has chosen to emphasize the brawling aspect totally ignoring the possibility of strategic gameplay.
I'm a big fan of strategic combat. I can play d*mn near any other PvP game and get the brawler experience. Very few games give players the option to go toe to toe while also giving the player a strategic aspect as well. War Robots does this in your first 5 player levels but quickly after that the strategic goes right out the window never to be seen again. I'm figuring that's why comms in the game is a rarity as well. In my experience if players are using comms it's 99.9% of the time just to shoot the sh*t and socialize over any real tactical use.
I'm really hoping BoT is going to be the game that replaces War Robots for me. I rarely squad anymore since I was really wanting the tactical teamplay with comms. Most of the maps are just too small for it anyways. And Pixonic is just adding more like them. They're brawler maps exclusively making tactical comms useless and strategy is just non-existant.

HEATHEN HERETIC Won't call Pix "desperate", I think it's just lack of good PR and customer support. I am under impression that they are given orders from above to pursue some stupid changes, even though they know it's bull「dookie」. And I don't like what I see in BoT, honestly. At all. But I agree that War Robots is taking some really strange trajectory to "develop", most likely to 「dookie」ty management. Areas, where some love is REALLY needed, are: 1) Hangar management 2) User level re-model (why we even need this level30 restriction?) 3) WorkShop re-model 4) In-clan chat 5) Ability to search\communicate with\squad easily with players if you are not the officer 6) Some game customization (at least with UI and "manual targeting") Any of these would show players that the game is still valid. Instead, they just keep on adding some 「dookie」 like bullet dodge, flying robots, and self-aiming guns :\ All of this "strategical thinking" reminds me of an old crappy car owner, who got the problems starting the car, but instead of fixing the engine he bought shiny new 22" rims, because "hey, nobody's gonna see the engine from the outside". Speaking of which, all the recent changes seem to be done in order to impress either new players with shiny AppStore screenshots or the new management who got no idea what's the game like. Or both audience, which might be actually the reason for the new weapons\bots\paintjobs stuff. Coming from IT industry, I can relate to struggling they are having. It's far easier to bill for "the new Glider robot prototype" than "re-arranging and sorting hangar".

Ok, I don't know what's going on but I sure ain't complaining. My last six matches have had no Diamonds-Champions and only a very few Golds. And all those were low Gold. Did they kill the LQ? I've heard no news.

Wow 6 months? How could you tell you were still in the LQ? Because up to an hour ago I was facing Recruits-Champions, all mixed, in every match. Now I'm clubbing my way through Privates-Silvers. I feel like a sh*theel doing it, but I'm not changing up my bots to match theirs. I'll just live with it until it's over.

I still can't believe it...6 months in LQ? Were you skipping maps at all? No, not leaving matches early. No skipping any maps. The b*tch of it was that Pixonic utterly failed to tell anyone that anything else would be counted as "leaving" by their "log". In fact we had a Pixonic rep tell the gaming community that if we canceled the match countdown before a match started that that would not be counted against us as "leaving". That was a complete lie as we found out later. Another thing they failed to tell players was that we are required to do damage in every match or be considered as "leaving" as well. I only found that out by asking about it directly. And only after I had been farming Au running all ECU/bots for over 2 1/2 monthes trying to fulfill the only two criteria that Pixonic would acknowledge. What was chapping my 「bum-bum」 was the fact that Pixonic simply refused to release me after I did fulfill what they told me to do. "Do not leave matches early and do not skip any maps." That was easy. It was the rest of their untold sh*t that I considered unfair, not only to myself but to every other player also affected by their un-spoken/written rules. Almost anyone else would have just tossed the game, but I just couldn't. I also wanted Pixonic to acknowledge their duplicity. Like that will happen. I'm just glad to have my main profile loose again. I have no intention of getting put back in that hell again. I just hope it's not another temporary reprieve like the one we got before 2.9 was implemented.

I got myself into LQ yesterday because I was leaving matches after getting a couple beacons for the beacon mission and now the only way I can get a match is by having someone host a squad battle. Do these matches count toward getting out? I understand penalizing for leaving matches, but not finding a match in 8 hours is a bit excessive......

I have to ask. Were you by any chance self destructing your bots during the beacon tasks? Or just getting 1-2 beacons and bailing?
