Ok, heres where I'm at right now... My hanger is 3 Griffs (Plasmsa, RDB, DB) Zarnage, and a Plasmahad. I really like the Plasmahad, because hes quicker than my Griffs, and if not taking rockets to the face can brawl. All my bots and weps are 10 or 11. I'm not worried about leagues, but I'm in Diamond 1 right now. I am interested in fun. I like my DB Griff the least. Takes a long time to get close to someone to unload. I normally bring him out last in most maps unless is dead city. And then he doesnt last too long. I'm sitting on 4300 gold and I was reading about how much fun a Rog is. I see those dudes running and bouncing all over the place. So my question is for Rog users, how are they? Are they more fun than a DB Griff? I could put my orkans on it once its up to level. I think I just really prefer the faster bots. I dont care about climbing leagues, I just wanna have fun (its a game) so I'm prob not gonna get a Lance with my money.

Put an Orkan Rog into my hangar in Gold1, never questioned it until Expert. Would keep it in place if it wouldn't be the time for a monthly hangar change (I change my hangar once a month to keep things fresh).

Rogs are lots of fun. They can hold their own when played well. I can't stand how slow Griffins are. A Rog fits my playstyle perfectly. I am currently debating on whether to buy a second one. I would highly recommend buying one!

Monthly hangar change? Thats a great idea! I won a stalker, so I guess I could level that up. Sitting on 30k WSP, so I can grab some weapons.... Man, I think thats what I should do so I dont get bored with the same hangar. I dont care about my league, I just wanna play to have fun. I can dust off that Griff gunship and put it into rotation... Now you have me thinking. Ok, I'm gonna go buy a Rog and rotate my hangar monthly. You just made my day with this post, thanks!

I think it will fit my playing style too. I have a Fury that just sits there because sniping and throwing rockets over a wall every 10 secs isnt my thing. But the Rog looks fast and I'm thinking that I prefer to play faster bots. I know I wont every make it to the top leagues but I'm ok with that.

Rog is the most fun bot I've played. Get one and you'll see. I can't wait to fight the Dash Bots with him.
By the way. A Plasmahad will get wiped out by a Orkan outfitted Rog. Very easy. Right after he cleans up his little brother the Gareth. Then rests for a bit and goes off looking for a Lance he can try to take down. "Screw Camelot" that's what my Rog says.

Once a month hanger change!? I Change my hanger several times a night.
As for the rog it's plenty fun. Stick some hydras on it and be an uncatchable troll. Or some orkans or tarans for a more meta-like feel.
Anyway you slice it, it is fast enough to do a decent job as a beacon capper and it has enough hp to take a few hits.

I just purchased it, leveling now.... My orkans are level 10, so I will put those on it when I reach level 9 and bring it out to play. I might level up some plasma and bullets to see if I like those. I have a pair of hydras, not sure they are my style...

I got it this week and it's SLOW to level up! I prefer plasma instead of okan. When next Beacon-capture map comes out; Rog should be very popular.

I think I would prefer Plasma too, but my Orks are already level 10. Once I get it into play I'll grab some more plasma and start to level those for it. I dont wanna strip my Griff and Galahad of their plasma

Can't go wrong with Orkans on a Rogatka. Makes for about an even match with a Plasmahad.

Orkan Rog is the only fixed member in my hanger (master3) atm. it's not only fun but also does its job. it's the opening bot in PP, DC, SZ, Canyon, and sometimes SF, I usually cap two beacons and kill / hurt at least 1~2 bots before going down.
I plan to add a DB Griff (need to upgaprade additional pair of Orkans), since it is definitely a killer in many 1vs1 situation at closer range. but it won't replace the Orkan Rog in my roster.

Orkan Rog is a wonderful machine. Not many bots in the game more fun to play, and effective at the same time. Only thing I'd choose over it is a Gareth, and that's just because it was my first true love.

Congrats , you will love the ork Rog If you ever consider a hanger change again involving that DB Griff consider changing it to a Stuka Griff ( aphid/ork) this is a more fun build the a traditional DB. You get the power of the Orks with a little reach out and touch someone with the Aphids. Just giving another option to your desire to change a little

IMHO putting Hydras on a Rog is stupid. Why would you buy a gold bot to fire Hydras? I mean ok a Rog could get to safety quicker or get to another part of the map quicker to fire off more Hydras. But Rog is a gold bot meant for guerrila warfare and for dominating smaller maps like Moon. Putting Hydras on a Rog is like buying a Fury and putting 3 Zeniths on it. Sure you can do it, but you're missing out on the the main advantages of the bot that Orkans will bring out.

Buy the Rogatka, get rid of the DB

Buy the Rogatka, get rid of the DB That's a fun thing, I am able to put out a LOT more damage out of the Rog than from the DB. The Rog is just so much better at: - Taking cover - Jump-shoot-hide - Run away - Close in - Jump into the frying pan -shoot-jump out it just lives longer. On the other hand, maybe I'm just a bad DB pilot.

The thing about DB Griff is that, if caught people off guard, you instant kill without losing hp, big pay out. However it is a suicidal play most of the time, and there's noting else he can do especially on big maps. This is a bad set up to preserve bot, you could run out 5 DBs in 5 min easily. Or play with a lot of patience and wait for red that walked into the 300m range, but I would rather pick a range camper to do that "patience" job lol.
I don't like the DB either and already switched to Rog Orkan. So that my hanger could cap beacons to turn the game in the end. Also if I missed my whole aim sometimes due to lag or something, I still can get away.

Congrats. I like my orkgatka so much i purchased a second one. You will love the speed compared to your db griff. Once you adjust to how insanely fast it is you'll be curving your shots (maybe that's just how it appears)!

I've been running a Rog ever since I won one in the May event. Easily my favorite bot. First had Tarans on, now Orkans. I hear Punishers may be fun, too..

Rogatka is a fantastic bot. Right now, the only reason to not own one is because you are still buying all your bot slots.

The question really is how many rogs to get. I have 2 in my hanger and hate it when it's time to pick my 3rd bot of the battle and I'm out of rogs. Methinks I'll eventually have at least 3, maybe 4 very soon?

Orkans over Tarans on the Rogatka for me. It's a fast bot, so burst damage type weapons are best. Run out or jump, cut loose or strafe, and be back in cover before they say "「whiskey tango foxtrot」 was that?". I use my Rog last. It basically a mop up bot for me. Run around, cleaning up crippled reds, cap an undefended beacon, or go down shooting during a red team spawn kill blitz.

I think I just really prefer the faster bots. I dont care about climbing leagues, I just wanna have fun (its a game) so I'm prob not gonna get a Lance with my money. So, orkan rog vs DB griff...You will definitely have lots of fun with an orkan rog if you get one and learn the differences in play styles. The main differences are that of mobility, agility and (ultimately) forgiveness. The DB griff requires a significant amount planning to get into place for most maps. It certainly has the "oh snap! You just got pwned!!!" factor, but that can easily back fire. Saving the jump until the right moment is critical. The rog, however, you get a new jump (after landing) in about 3-4 seconds, so if you need to jump away again, for whatever reason, you can.
That said, the rog is almost twice the speed of the griff, so I find myself just running most places because the jump doesn't significantly help my speed and also gives away that I'm a rog to the reds. Best to keep your cards close to the vest. Also, the speed makes you near invincible against other DB set ups at ~200 meters. One of my favorite tactics is to sneak close to an opponent that I know has short range rockets and as soon as we both start firing, I'm back peddling so his rocket aren't hitting and mine are all landing hard and fast. Perfect to use against the uber powerful thunder ork lance or the DB griff that has just landed.
It has it's short comings, but they are largely the same as the DB griff (most notably, plasma). However, if you factor in mobility, you are much more likely to survive a plasma attack if there is cover because you will get to it much faster than a griff. Lastly, a DB griff is probably going to die one on one against a tarancilot. Sure, he's going to take his pound (ton?) of flesh before he goes down, but he's likely going down, especially without cover. However, a orkan rog's speed makes a tarancilot respect him. If surprised, the rog can run inside the shield of the tarancilot and once circle of death starts, the rog has a very good chance to win. While this tactic is hard to pull off consistently, the threat of it can often keep a lone tarancilot from charging your position (or at least think twice before doing so).
There are other strategies, but I think you can see why many on this site agree that (at least before the Korean bots come out) the rog is, arguably, the most fun bot on the battle field right now. Good luck with your purchase, whatever it may be. Also, don't forget to consider saving your precious gold until the Korean bots come out and the meta shift shakes out.

IMHO putting Hydras on a Rog is stupid. Have you tried them sense the latest update? They are better than you remeber. Or maybe you played it at the wrong time? I find the hydra rog is best to play as a late game beacon capper. Raining rockets from 600, while capping a beacon at the same time is so much fun!

I have Hydras(8 and 9) and Spirals (7 and 7) on a Griff and they are ok. Maybe if I get everything to at least 10. It's just too fun unloading Orkans and killing off Griffs, Gareths and Galahads. I would miss seeing that up close if I got Hydras.
