Hey Wiki People of the World,
I never really played any PvP or TeamvTeam games before, I stuck to mostly watching anime & playing strategy games most of my life. Since I started playing War Robots over a month ago and fell in love, I've noticed the strength of "Spawn Raiding" many times already, but wasn't sure why its so effective when I personally found myself able to take out 3 bots before finally being taken down which is a pretty incredible feat. Since I am in the WikEd clan Line chat, I learned the below so far:
Here's WHY its so effective: when spawning,
there is a few second lag, giving the opponent more time to lock-on and unload a full, or most of a salvo before having any time to react,
you won't know which way fire is coming from,
need time to 'lock-on' to the opponent once you find them,
have no time to dodge as they are already waiting for you,
There is no cover to hide behind,
Here's HOW you can prevent it:
Realize that, while it is very demoralizing to be spawn-raided, you still have a chance, so don't quit! Follow the tips below:
Go back immediately to help your team out when possible because most of the people at your spawn are worthless campers you must protect, inactives, snipers unsuited for close-range combat, & those just re-spawning. Don't assume they can handle it themselves,
Don't just keep respawning by yourself, wait until somebody else spawns with you. There is strength in numbers!
High HP-Bots or Jumpers (but not Cossacks) are best at surviving the first enemy salvos, giving you time to retaliate,
High burst-damage, close-range weapon bots (aka, uses Orks, Tarans) to take out opponent(s) before they can hit again,
