As a follow up to my other thread (of sort) I noticed that most players now kind of stand still (jumps occasionally) and shoots. And I mean really still haha. Not just 1 or 2 games, but over a number of games I played yesterday. And not just laser and treb players - pins, hydra, tulums, guns alike.
I'm IOS D3, and most of the players in those few games I played yesterday were within my league too.
Was it like this in Android when the update just started? Is it still like this? Will this be the style of play until some new updates, dash for example. I don't know since IOS just got updated.
Anyway, I play my usual hanger, 4 fast bots (incl 1 pinata gep lol) and 1 tarancilot. Mostly hit and run tactic. Im happy enough to hurt reds (support role of sort), kill isn't important to me (my team mates take cares of that). Beacons are still my priority.
A few games proved to be disastrous while others I actually still shine ?.
So your play style with this update?

While I agree that they should also try to actually play to win at the same time, some people simply wish to try out a new setup without actually caring about whether they win or lose at that time, simply about general setup performance. Once they find a (new) setup that works for them, then they start playing to win again. Me, I dropped my easy button RDB and my Zarnage in favor of an Aphid Orkan Griffin and a 「Tempest Raijin」 (Raijin with twin Tempests) respectively. Otherwise, my playstyle remains unchanged. |

Hide behind meatbags and jump away when the meatbags are gone. At least thats how i use my plasma griffin. In plasma rhino i do the same thing except when the meatbags are gone i stand still and hold position until reinforcement come. With thunder punisher leo, im the meatbag. I usually drop the leo in the last half of the match to hold beacon as long as possible. I save my DB griffin until multiple britbot appears. I keep mini DB gareth as last resort because i dont have enought leveled knife weapon atm, except in sf where i drop it first to cap center as quickly as possible and defend it, followed by rhino.
These builds and tactics works quite well in diamond 3. Rhino isn't bad like what people say, it works really well as second drop bot to quickly reinforce frontline unit. The speed is very helpful in sf as well, due to the distance between spawn and center beacon.
Behind battle, i upgrade many things to 7 and switch various build looking for the perfect one and avoid boredom

Changes I have made since the event started:
- Continue to try to improve accuracy of fire
- Slow down my forward assault (tend to waste 1st bot on 1st/2nd beacon)
- Do not worry (or attempt) to finish clip / ammo etc... keep moving to get back under cover
- Swap my TT Fury for Plasmahad
Past 5-6 days - I gone from maintaining around [4000 league points
(+/-) 75 points] to 4250 points. Now in the middle of Master III tier. I am hoping I will continue to climb up and through to Master II.

Depends.
If I'm alone, I mostly play naked on my couch with a package of cookies next to me. If I'm not alone, I put on pants and share the cookies.

But for better or worse, it's pretty common for gamers to say they got "g「grape」" when another player annihilates them. My gf, who is extremely sensitive about mistreatment of women, as am I, plays Warcraft and is always saying "I just g「grape」 the ?firetruck? out of xxxx" when she destroys an Alliance player. I'm pretty sure that's the sense in which he meant it, not something vile. Just my two cents. (And you know, that and a loan from the bank will buy you a cup of coffee from Starbucks.) I agree with you about the OP's intent, which is why I gave him a verbal note in this thread rather than run him up the flagpole with an official warning. I've seen quite a few women get massively triggered when some male players says the same. The baffling part is, the women said said the same thing to the men a while before. Makes me wonder sometimes whether it is more acceptable (to certain people) for a woman to say this things than a guy? Fun part: Someone went on a youtube meltdown once after being told that by some guy and reiterated her story of getting molested. Got massively triggered when someone mentioned that maybe she shouldn't have been saying the same things on her streams for so long. Well, what I want to say is I don't get why people would use terms like that anyway when they are so against it. It's like fighting for equal rights or #blacklivesmatter then saying the N-word. They say a pen is sharper than a sword and I'm inclined to agree. And what is the power of a pen if not word? There are a 1000 words one can use without hinting at something that really is a problem around us. I am happy this forum bans those.  |

I play the game for fun now. And it's so easy to have fun now. I haven't had the same hangar for more than 10 games since the update. So many different options are viable in different roles now. I said the sky was falling when I first heard about this update, but so far it's been pretty fun.

So you quit anytime there's Hydras or Gekkos on either side of the map.. you're going to have a real tough time staying in a match as more people realize those two weapons are part of the meta now. |

I'm a fairly new player so this update came at the perfect time. From the beginning I've loved light bots and beacon hunting so I'm learning to use cover and stealth optimally. I got Ancile and Carnage from event tasks so the Ancile went on a Leo to make a poor man's LAncilot.
I love camper hunting, once I cap a few beacons I generally rack up to 400k-1M damage either hitting bots risking for center beacon or running through a gap and hitting the campers. This is on Amazon server by the way, so getting a million damage with only my plasma stalker isn't that hard
