I think we really should wait and see. If it really turn out to be how it is posted then the game has become exclusively pay to win and I will seriously consider stopping playing.

Sigh.. and with 5k gold saved up I was thinking I would be close to being able to afford a dash bot... If they are all indeed 14k, I can't actually imagine being able to afford one ever.. I'd rather get scourge weapons I think. I'm not buying gold unless they do a crazy good offer.

I find it hard to believe that they all will cost the same. 14/7/3.5 seems more likely. I hope .. saving 7k Gold for the medium one. At 14k I'll pass. I mean these prices are ridiculous. $100+ for a robot in a game running on a cell phone?

I would wait and see to be honest. But 14K AU for the little robot? They are either having a jolly laugh.....or crack. I was expecting the Bulgasari to cost as much as a Butch to be honest but the medium one was the one that attracted me most and I was really hoping that it would be around 8K.
I think I'll wait for the new weapons and take it from there.

There's a big downside to all of this. A lot of the guys in LQ + champion league with maxxed out hangers who have amassed vast fortunes clubbing and through other nefarious activities. THEY are the ones who will be able to buy hangers full of these bots right off the bat. This creates an even more steep competition gap which rewards the cheaters the most. Not only that but if they ever exit LQ they will absolutely destroy NQ with their overpowered dash hangers. They won't need to club. They can just play normal with their cheat mode bots and just have their way with everyone else. I find it hilarious that losers like them are exactly the people that will buy them. It might just make them competitive against their NQ peers. What funnier still is that considering they win 10au every game in only 5 mins it still would take them 163hrs of play time just for a single dash. Oh..then add the times they don't get 10 and time to tank down. Just for this reason alone I'll give credit to Pix. They made a bots that literally devalues the (finite for us all) life of a tanking farmer.

I also have just over 5k Gold saved. It seems Pix has analysed user profiles and seen that many people have been saving, so they've priced them accordingly. Unfortunately I am at 3500 at Expert 2 on iOS, which means I am in the highest matchmaking tier. All the Champion League players i am constantly facing will have Gold stockpiled, so I will see many of these bots as soon as they are released. Which means not only can I NOT afford one, my playing experience might also seriously go down the toilet.
Unfortunately this may break the game for me. It leaves me with two undesirable options: stop playing for a month to wait for a price reduction and risk never coming back, or tank down a few leagues ruining countless people's games in the process.
Which would you choose?

Pay to........everything! I feel a real bad attitude coming. Anything above 5000Au is crap. This event and the last must have brought in a ton. Yea, I think I'm gonna get pissed!

I am quite shocked how you guys seem to be accepting things like inflation in a game and ridiculous pricing of items. I've spent quite some money over the past year and I'm okay with pricing of britbots or Fury. But 14k is absolutely inacceptable to me. Dash bots will be non-existent for me if they are going to be priced as anticipated. I'll just kill them on the battlefield instead of adding them to my inventory. They're not even awesome in my book. They look like Hyundais and the dash animation is just horrible and unrealistic. 14k? No 「fluffernutter」ing way!!

Guys you were complaining that the Dash bots will drastically change the meta and break the game. Now you complain that you can't afford to get them.
Just wait and enjoy the game, the next event maybe we can win few Dash bots from chests. I won all my Wild Bunch bots from events without wasting gold on their 155% inflated prices.

- 14kAu/99$ for bot - checked! - Biased meta - checked! - MM designed to push player to funny places - check!
Conclusion is clear: Time to buy some Geps, Gekkos and maybe a Hydra Fuji lol. Trolls to battle stations! Instead of paying we can simply use the game for what it should - be...fun, play, do silly things, even if not for win.

There's quite a difference between being able to afford them and being willing to pay that much. Seriously, 14k is a bad joke. WW bot pricing was completely out of proportion already. It is ridiculous.

Well seems like it is gonna be pay to win if the figures are correct. Those few paying customers will pay for these as well. Others to your hydras. I don't believe grinding in the NQ or the LQ will be viable to earn these bots. Even hard core clubbers will find this a hard grind and by the time s(he) ammessed enogh gold to buy one or two a new bot will be on the scene. So effectively unless u pay for it w RM it will be a constant grind to nowhere.
Going back to pixs roadmap publication it seems like they were working hard indeed. First they prepped the current game for the new dashes and weapons. Nerfed this buffed that......to more or less level the playing field. Now a potential op bot arrives and becomes top dog. Pix Worked toward a p2w game. Does it make commercial sense? Don't know, time will tell.
If you are not willing to pay RM it seems like there are 3 options. 1. Play and don't worry about the better bots and the meta 2. Pay RM 3. See what happens when battle titans is released
For now There is this strange sour taste in my mouth. Also wonder if this was a deliberate leaque to gauge player response. Either way I will not purchase anything even my premium until I see how this unfolds. The carrot is way to far in the distance. Can't see it anymore.

As the Zen master said, "We'll see..." I'm not panicking though, Pixonic have built a great business based on a great game, with great artwork, that is balanced, F2P and advert free. I don't see them deviating from their business model too much.

Well not that there are many positives to draw from those price tags, but I think it would mean they would have a relatively soft landing in game. With the exception of perhaps the highest tiers you certainly won't be seeing hangers full of them. I have no problem spending RM on the game but at that pricing level I would see it as very much a premium purchase that I would not take likely. And no doubt the zapper weapon will cost a few more k to add to that. Being objective about it I could probably stretch to buy one at some point after I have seen how they land and then that would be it for a good long while. Might try to get the wife to make one a Christmas or birthday present six months down the road. And that would only be if still playing the game to the same level and enjoying it enough to justify €109.99 and there are a lot of others things out there in the real world that could easily compete for that spend. It does mean I will be sticking with many of my current bots for the foreseeable future, so I suppose I can get on with the upgrades. I think you will see the Dashes in the Silver league pretty soon ;) Here is 17.8K worth of Gold in this hangar, not taking upgrade times into account, and it's not your typical tanker. I see more and more wallet warriors in game. PLOT TWIST! But it's a good thing! It allows me to brag the following battle stats (actual score from the battle with actually this person) - money can't buy you skills:

Can't see it anymore. Agree. I started to buy premium lately, since upgrades past L9 don't go exactly smooth. Now it stops. I also bought tokens in previous events, now again - not a dime is being ditched. Reason: whatever I would win or buy seems inferior to coming meta...one having most likely hefty price tag, to be achievable practically with RM only. Lets not forget that WW bots, ones that don't shine too much really, came with 3.5, 7 and 14k marks...dashes seem much more prominent and unlike WW bots will dictate meta. I get that Pix needs to make money, and I'm ready to pay some, but not for a game that jumps all around with meta and starts to show rather obvious p2w inclination. For such game I'm for your option 1 (just try to have fun with what u have) with anticipation of BT release.

On the "money" tune I can't see why Pix is not charing monthly Paintjobs premium, so you can colour any bot any colour you like, but it expire once your subscription ends. It would relieve people of excessive money and still make no impact for usual players.

At 70 Au/day, that is 200 days to save for one. Nice going. P2W indeed. Oh well, there'll be exodus of free players if things get unplayable, and then it'll leave the P2W players to fight amongst themselves. Unless this is an exit cash-out, I wouldn't be too worried. This game doesn't live without us free players, so Pix will keep us reasonably happy. Tempest might become WSP or Ag weapon, for example. Or there might be (especially speed) buffs to current bots (70 kph Gepard would be pretty balanced for example).
Still, there is a chance that this is an exit cash-out for some investors, who don't care what happens after half a year. So even if I was otherwise willing to pay for them, I'd be wary... Though I guess even in the (very unlikely) worst case of player base collapse, there will be a momentary gratification of playing with money-maxed dash bots and slaughtering Griffins and Lancelots (or even Cossacks and Golems...).

Unfortunately this may break the game for me. It leaves me with two undesirable options: stop playing for a month to wait for a price reduction and risk never coming back, or tank down a few leagues ruining countless people's games in the process. Which would you choose? If the game becomes so lopsided because of these dashes i'm probably just going to run the most irritating hanger imaginable and have fun with it. I'll max out gekkos, hydras, scourge (if it's still overpowered), and zeus. Just go to town at mid/long range indefinitely until they balance this thing out again. I'm sure my win rate will tank and so will my league score but at that point who cares anymore? The game will be lopsided anyways.

One more idea. If the things get really hairy, we could create a new clan: Long name: TROLLIN'TROLLSShort name: FtruckPrerequisits - nothing except weapons being limited to Nori, Gekko, Treb, Zenith, Hydra, Spiral and ancile.

Not yet an exit for sure. There is a few more tricks pixo can pull. Maybe after the big spenders paid for the dashes they will make the ancilot dash. Then buy ancilot. Then the lance will be back on top again. Rajin and fujin will jump and the stalker will fly while the griffin will get a heavy weapon mount between the legs to hose down the dashes. And then the new heavy bot arrives and will cost 24k bc people bought the dashes for 14k. The new heavy will stealth, jump, fly and yes the 4th mount will be on its 「bum-bum」 so it can't be surprised from behind. A new weapon will be developed for the new heavy which will fire brown sticky explosives with the appropriate sound. Ok will leave at that for now....

I refused to buy the Jessie and the DOC, if it were not for the events, I wouldn't own either.. it will be the same with the DASH bots.. if they get priced above 5k I will wait on events, drop a hundo on an event.. get one there on those 1000 spins.. it seems to be where the good poop is won.. So you win the Bot and a lot of other goodies to go with it.. Im good with that!
