THE ANDROID WIKI
-- A clan charter --
This document is a statement describing the purpose, philosophy, and execution of the Android Wiki clans. Why is this important? Because gaming is a collective social experience, and just like in real life, it requires guiding priciples that represent the same values that we use in real everyday life. These principles are no less important because we can't see or hear the people we interact with.
Community:
We shall foster an environment that encourages respect for all others in the name of civility, goodwill, and a mutual desire to help those around you. This respect is earned by giving it freely first, rather than expecting it. Community also means upholding the values of the Wiki. As representatives, we have agreed to take on the responsibility of sharing and distributing the knowledge of the game. Tactics, strategy, resource investment and so much more. It is every clanmates responsibility. Differing opinions are always welcome of course. But these will always be discussed in the context of what works best vs. what might just be for kicks.
Squadding:
Being in a clan serves a few purposes not related to the gameplay specifically, but squadding is one of the most important in game objectives. We will always actively encourage it. It obviously increases your chances of winning and is good for clan health. It represents a desire to invest in the results of your clanmates, because you can actively contribute to others having success in game. And the brotherhood of competing alongside clanmates rather than randoms is more satisfying. If you don't want to squad, then you need to examine whether or not a clan is the best use of your game time investment.
Sportsmanship:
We will foster an environment that is free of cheating, clubbing, tanking, and exploitive conduct for the purpose of increasing your resources in the game. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Blatantly taking advantage of weaker or less equipped players to make yourself feel better about the 'hardships' you encounter in game will never be acceptable if you want to wear our tag. Being honorable doesn't stop having meaning just because you're gaming.
These values are what make us a clan worth investing your time in.
SO SAY WE ALL.
