It's fun to try and guess at what will happen once the dashers and energy weapons are released. Here's my attempt
1. They will balance the use of Tulumbas/Pins/Orkans/Tridents which have dominated the meta since the update. People are going to get sick of missing from distance with RDBs as the dash bots zip around which will lead to
2. More people will start using Tarans/Magnums/Zeus'/Scourges because they're more accurate from distance and can track the dashes better which will lead to
3. The resurrection of shield bots. Galahad, Gareth, Rhino, and obviously Lancelot will be the answer for all of the energy/plasma that will be thrown around which will
4. Balance the meta. No more missile/rocket dominance. Plasma/energy weapons become go-tos again when facing the dashers giving importance to a balanced hangar instead of the 5 RDB Griffins I'm currently running on my alt
I might be giving the devs too much credit but I think this is their plan/hope.

It all depends on what the Dash will cost. If they cost gold as Pix promised on Reddit, it should change the meta by adding to the current state which is Shields and Jump. If it cost influence or another new premium currency, they won't change 「dookie」.

Indeed it is difficult to predict the future meta but I agree with your analysis. While I am not to sure of the damage dished out by the scourge but if it is high it may have an impact on the number of tarans and Zeuses (as it could be a two in one weapon – tarazeus). Galahads could be very useful again.

I predict many, many threads of woe and misery on the forum. Many arguments, many new stats about this and that, guides and videos. Yes the meta of the forum will definitely be changed again.
As for the game. Hit the "To Battle", select a bot, fight furiously, win some, lose some, then repeat cycle.

The Dash won't change the game as much as the Scourge.
The Dash Mk2 and Mk3 bots will still be killable by the standard RDBs and Trident bots that squads tag team with. Additionally, setups pilots use to fight the MRS rockets today will also work against Dash bots.
What is more of a game changer is the Scourge's ability to track/hit a target dependably at any distance from 600m down to extreme CQC ranges ---- check this out (assuming the last test specs for the Scourge and that the increase of damage from 600m to 0m is a straight line).
-Damage per weapon per 10 second salvo at 525m at L11-L12 is approx 30-34K (this is outside the range of an RDB/Thunder/Punisher)
-Damage per weapon per 10 second salvo at 375m at L11-L12 is approx 40-44K (this is outside the range of a PDB)
-Damage per weapon per 10 second salvo at 310m at L11-L12 is approx 44-49K (this is outside the range of an DB)
-Damage per weapon per 10 second salvo at 75m at L11-L12 is approx 59-65K (this is a realistic CQC combat range on the tight maps)
What do the numbers above mean? If you use these numbers on any bot that can carry 3 Scourges setup can kill any knifer setup without a physical shield under 30 seconds at standoff distances (see the 375m stat above) - that's not good for knifer Leos/Griffs/Boas/Pattons.
There's a belief that the Scourge will countered by physical shield bots ---- which I am not one that believes this for ALL shield bots. My belief is that the physical shields of the Galahad and Gareth will not save them long before they are burned out at standoff ranges and then they'll get melted at knifer ranges as the Scourge gets stronger. Also, the Gals/Garys inability to carry more than 1 Scourge means that neither bot will pose a threat to Scourge Dashes in a CQC situation --- cause Tarans/Mags/Orks/Pinatas miss quite a bit against a quick target in CQC while the Scourges never miss.
I'm saving up for multiple Scourges. The Dash bots I'm not so eager to buy them if the aren't for Gold or IPs. My bot to fight Scourge and the multitudes of RDBs that will still exist will be the Quad Hydra Doc, TT Fury, and a Tempest/Molot Mk2 Lancelot.
All pilots will have to adjust for the Scourge - an item that can genuinely be categorized as a true MRS or a true Knifer class weapon. The Dash bots are the flavor of the day (a flavor that will last until that jumping heavy Stealth bot gets here) - the Scourge will forever impact this game.
(PS - I forgot to add --- the Dash MK1 will be a REQUIRED bot when Beacon Advance game mode get here --- bet on it.)

Like any meta changing bot expect game play to shift dramatically. Don't think so? Compare hangars pre and post Brit Bot release (eg. Age of the Rhino v. Present Day).
All that can be done is to prep accordingly based on items that will be minimally impacted by their release. In this case (as stated by the OP) plasma and Zeus will be vitally important to outfit whatever bots remain standing post release.
The biggest unknown IMO is what the overall Au cost structure will be for these bots (assuming Au for Dash based on Pix comments). If they cost WW gold prices during the anniversary event, expect a slow adoption by the player population. However, if they're closer to current day Au prices of Brit bots, there's gonna be a massive shift very rapidly across the landscape. I know guys with >10k Au standing by for release so they can buy and insta-max at the update.

I am one of those >10K guys and will be putting my money down on the scourges and a MK2. got this feeling the MK3 will be the new king tho.

I'm think Mk3 /w scourge. It's a heavy knifer that also out midranges current midranges and out knifes current knifers mk2 /w rockets. Its like a RDB Griff that's much faster and has an ancille and can dodge even tridents. See the problem there? Well a problem for those without the 10K I guess. I'm well positioned to buy 1 or 2 but I sincerely hope they don't stick to the stats seen on test servers as it merely devalues gameplay.

there was a poll about how much gold people have and i'd say the majority of people wont have enough for these new toys. my guess, pix will set the price at a level where people will have to fork out RM. and a lot will. others will have to keep grinding but the early adopters will benefit the most bc these new toys will proabably be OP at release and when enough is sold they will be nerfed so balance is brought back into the game.

The mk2 is indeed dangerous at mid and close range. In TS it's ancille had the capacity of a Carnage but the regenerate of an ancille or fujin. Together with the dash that's enough to engage in Tulu rocket fights with RDB griffs. Up close with orkans it's >100K per load at Lv 8, toe to toe it'll kill a fujin first. The Mk3 was very fun to play as it's turret speed and shield placement made it possible to get timing on the first 2 bursts if a Tarans then time shots between rolling right like fighting in a philly shell. My concern is that currently every gold bot and indeed weapon is the equivalent of a silver/WSP item with a skewed set of stats to specialize for a particular way to play. E.g Orkans hit harder than Tarans but the distance, reload time and projectile speed is compromised. Even the mighty ancillot has to deal with slow speeds and low firepower leveraging against a strong defense. Looking at HP, movement speed and firepower (e.g. Mk3 has Med bot speeds, heavy bot HP, heavy bot firepower) dashbots sit pretty close to the top of the food chain before accounting for dash + defense features. Price wise they can go both ways but I concur with your assessment. The problem isn't so much those that pony up cash to buy or have currency in store, but can you imagine faders and Ex-faders that are at or close to their original goals given incentive to club for something clearly on top of the food chain? I'm usually fairly unconcerned with Meta trends as I usually find a way to counter the flavour of the month. But after the last test server session I have, out of character refrained from spending any gold until the release off the new bots and scourge. Call it a strategic reserve. P.s Well almost spent no gold...but I had to complete the look here. Only ever bought two paints and they're right here

This actually paints a picture that MK3 might be the better purchase with this kind of Meta. Also the scourge may actually see good use on the Galahad to counter dashing.

Just based on what I've experienced on test and my limited knowledge of the game, the Scourge will replace the Taran. The last iteration on test was extremely lethal. At 400-600m it's like having a Gekko just picking away at you, but sub 300m it's just melting away points. As far as the MKs go, I don't slot a beacon runner, so I never messed with the MK I. The MK II's ancile is more durable than a Carnages. In some cases, If I couldn't get a full burst from 3 Tulums on one up front it took far too long to wear down than I felt was worth the effort over other targets. The MK III can be a beast and using it's shield to absorb some damage while closing in doesn't take long to adjust to at all. I tend to believe that the Mks will replace Griffins and Rogs. I generally run my first day of matches on test working with the changes. Then I'll revert to my prod hangar to try and work out what adjustments I might have to make if what's on test goes live. By the end of the last round of testing I had replaced my DB, PDB, and RDB Griffins with a Scourge MK II, a Tulum MK II, and an Orkan MK III. I also replaced the Tarans on one of my Ancilots with Scourges. I think that the Scourge will have a greater impact on the game than the Dash bots. It's really flexible and doles out consistent damage. I would not be surprised at all to see hangers with 3 Scourge based bots and 2 splash. If it's released as is, aside from sniping, I wouldn't see much point in equipping anything else when it comes to energy weapons, or any other non-splash =<600m weapon in its place.
Also, just to note, one other thing I encountered on test last time: I couldn't see ancile health bars. Dunno if that was just a bug for me, but it certainly impacted how I approached reds that weren't in plain sight. Kind of cool and kind of a pain. I think I wouldn't mind it if that were made prod. Adds a skill component in, rather than removing one, as some changes seem to do.

Very good point. I hadn't considered them costing something other than gold But you can buy Influence Points with Gold. It's the same exchange rate if go with the highest package. True, but if they're WW bot costs (14k for the top choice bot, 7kish for the mid tier) then cost will reduce the speed of adoption.

I think that with the emergence of these new bots, you'll see a shift back to basics for many (like myself). You'll have a new surge of the dash bots floating around, and then you'll see folks like me running a heavy setup of bots that can carry the Thunders on it. A dash bot jumps in to use it's weapons, and then you start unloading with the thunder. I think you'll see a surge of Fury's with thunders, Natty's with thunders/punishers, leo's with Thunder/punishers, and the ThunderCarny will become even more useful against the new meta.

Here's a quick question: I don't have that much real money to spend on the new equipment, so that means I can only rely on Silver (20m), Gold (2.5k), IP (1k now, hoping to get more) and WSP (still hoarding it, now at 10k) in order to be able to get a niche in the new meta.
Which weapons/bots should I buy? Not necessarily to fight to the top, but just play normally and stay in the top 3 of my current match rating (Silver League III to Gold League II).

I really hope the scourge gets scrapped. It looks lame on the battlefield but more importantly it removes much of the skill from the game. You no longer have to aim, just run around and hold the red button and it automatically tracks red bots. I got bored using it and won't buy one even if it dominates.

I'll be curious to see how it effects the newer players and their desire to continue with the game once they start seeing these new bots and weapons in their matches. Normally I would expect to see them on an infrequent basis in the bronze and silver tiers, but the prevalence of tanking could quickly push these meta changers down into those ranks much quicker than anticipated. And with the new MM (current) this could become a frequent experience for the silver players, as it's quite common to face off with diamond players. Imagine the frustration of trying to deal with the influx of these new items with a limited budget of gold. I know, I'm a glass half empty kinda person. What can I say.
