So... if we can't necropost on old threads, why can we bring up ancient viral trends that have died the deaths they so deserved!  "yes" is my answer... because... photoshop. (not that the original pic was, but that I can make it whatever color I want, damn the difference in rods and cones...  ) |

The reason why the dress appears to be different colors is because of the lighting. Notice how some things appear to be different colors under fluorescent light than when they're under sunlight?
There was an imgur gif of this on the front page a while ago but I can't find it now. I have it bookmarked on my personal laptop though so I'll find it later.

According to Wikipedia en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_dress in actuality it is blue and black. In the viral photo though the pixels are yellow and slightly bluish white. |

Use the probe in lightroom or photoshop to see color channel distribution.
(Disclaimer: yes, I'm an engineer, therefore I had to suggest the boring scientific method lol)
