I have noticed at the beginning ( first spawn)of some battle that some players will shoot other teammates in the back multiple times. Is this just fooling about or some kind of in-game communication to direct someone to go somewhere or do something different? I only ask this because I am curious and never been in a clan and also don't use any voice apps like some clans do.
Just curious,

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Some people do it by accident right at the beginning.
Sometimes they are just idiots.
Sometimes they try to tell others to go a particular direction or take a particular beacon.

Mostly just idiots wanting to see if Magnums truly have no reload

This happens much less in the higher tiers.
Sometimes, depending on the weapons I have, I'll give a couple quick fires just to signal alertness/comradeship/here-here. Others do this too. But don't fire into someones back, that's rude. Mistakes happen though so don't judge them right away.
When someone fires toward a beacon I've never figured out if they are saying 'I should get it' or 'they are going to get it'. Seen it play out both ways.
If someones relentlessly blasting me in the back sometimes I'll unload in their face to see how they like it, but rarely do they get the hint. It can be a real distraction.
People that start off endlessly and pointlessly firing their Magnums are super annoying, can't stand that monotonous sound. If I can't get away from them I'll leave.

I think it would be cool to have some sort of in game language becoming adopted/standardized. Like a Morse Code of weapon fire or bot motion. Two quick fires means one thing, fire pause fire fire means something else, a tight walking circle facing the same direction means another, etc...

For me, if I am moving towards a beacon, I will shoot towards another beacon, asking others to grab that instead, and that I have got this one (the one I am moving towards).

I shoot at faster bots and then shoot at a nearby beacon, they generally get the message, and I move on more towards the battle side of things.
