I don't know if this is a rant per say. I have played it enough that I now know what to expect. I have never seen a game where one day you can feel so GOOD about your hangar. You know, you are kicking ss and taking names, racking up the damage and collecting wins. You put the game away feeling great only to pick it up again and just get your ss handed to you. You doubt your entire hangar and sit there and try to figure out what the hell to do next or change or buy for that matter. My win rate was actually up to 62% but I knew what would be coming soon. Sure as 「dookie」 here came the losing streak. Now this has become tolerable because I am racking up enough damage to either get points or limit my negative so I am advancing in my league(not that matters anymore). The only thing I can equate this game to is dating a hot chic only to find out she is psycho/bi-polar. You deal with it because she is hot but when the times are bad then man are the times bad but you still cant stay away from her. Nothing is ever consistant or than the inconsistancy.

I hear you, man. I try to keep the following bits of info around in my head to keep me sane.
It's a game where as far as we know, we only play with and against other human pilots - and there is a rock/paper/scissors element to it in terms of the individual match ups on the field of battle. There are a lot of factors that will determine how successful you are in any given set of matches. If you rocked yesterday with your hanger and are getting hammered today - something else is likely affecting you. Different opponents, different luck of the draw.. Figure out how you can pilot those same mechs more successfully before making any significant hanger changes.
I'm floating between Diamond and Expert. When I'm down in Diamond I can play aggressively. I can push for map control and affect the flow of the match and be on the top end of damage and beacon caps. When I float up to expert, I need to play much more defensively and act in a support role, even with my knife fighters or I get wiped off the map. Once I hit expert I've spent more time watching the last few minutes of the match than I have since I got my 5th hanger slot.

You also get matchmaker stacking the odds against you to press you towards a 50% win rate... go too high and you get a matchmaker smackdown

So very true... It's just some times the bear is an Orkan/thunder Lancelot with bear paint job.
