I'm thinking of the mid-range support play style, so, Molots or Tulu which set-up is better ?

Actually if you want to bring out the power of Fujin, put its sheild to work and go knife fighter. Tri Taran is nice, but if there are many shield bots in your tier you might consider Tri Orkan. On the other hand if you like mid-range setup, better go Tulumbas. Molots and Punishers are simply not in a good spot right now. A friendly reminder however, Fujin is quite an average bot. Carnage with Thunders is better for knife fighting if you like the shield and you can also go Carnage with Tridents for mid-range support.

Fujin, imo is underrated, and I think that's due to poor piloting maybe?
All I know is I NEVER rush a tri-Taran Fujin. Those things are nasty one on one.

Orkans when up close, if you sit in plasma range you may as well not have the shield. Imho a built in ancile has 2 purposes on the bots that have it: 300M: preventing getting OTK'd by DB bots, 400M+ Curbing RDB & Sniper fire while kiting and attacking with Mid-range. It's why Carnage does well with thunders and tridents.

no vote for Fujin + Hail Hydra? Not horrible to be honest, but there are still much better ways to spend WSP.

Basically only use the shield if someone is firing rockets at you. I use Hydras, which makes a lot of sense for taking on Tridents and RDB.
Fujin isn't a slug but it isn't quick either. Tri Orkan is really powerful but it's going to be tough getting close to anybody besides hiding in the shadows.
Tarans have slightly more range but still leaves you in plasma range, and Fujin will die to PDB before reload.
Basically I only recommend Tulumbas or Hydra, both of which are pretty strong. Your big strength is you are practically superman when it comes to killing rocketeers.

Fujin has a sweet spot in top tier. With the proliferation of rockets a maxed orkin fujin can wreck certain maps. However when tiered below top end you'll see quite a bit more plasma which detracts from its utility. Top end it'll kill db Rhinos and ork Thunder Lances. Low gold and high silver expect to get rocked by PDB bots.

Tulumbas Fujin is quite effective at higher tiers and is also the most cost effective Fujin setup. It packs a big punch at mid range, and its shield really comes in handy against other splash bots. The shield is usually enough to completely stop RDB loads and negate most of the damage from a DB load, and can be recharged when you are in cover reloading. With the tulumbas setup you can maul knifers and physical shield bots, while the shield makes you largely invulnerable to other mid range splash when played right.

Yup, I reckon the Tulumbas fujin is the most effective setup for the fujin, the shield is only really good for blocking the majority of midrange missiles, and after the shield Is depleted, you should then find a safe position to go and charge it again.

I'm trying Tulu fujin (weapon lv. at 6-7, maybe in low silver) and it's quite effective in those open map. Usually I unload 1 salvo and can take out half hp bar of any medium bot, find a safe place to reload and again.
This tactics results easily result me top 1-2 damage dealer every game play =D

my only prob with Tulu is the very long reload time, also the weapon range is 500m. a rhino on the rush can easily eat you. for mid support i still prefer the trident/carnage. trident 600m and shorter reload time, carnage can rush to safe place easily.
speaking of Fujin, you better get another bot like carnage or rhino, or save for other things that you can use on top tier.

Welp.. its a support bot, not the best bot I'll admit because ancile a are just fairly weak in general, however it's pretty fun to use and has quite a different play style to other bots.

At bot lv10 I literally can just stay put. One midrange is stopped. The shield is 5% per sec max 75,000

If you backtrack, a Rhino with 10 km/h advantage is going to take 1 minute to catch up 150M. That's easily enough time to Tulumbas the Rhino down, provided you have the free range to backtrack.

I hate Tulu reload times. Orks on the other hand are seriously cool.

I can only see the Orkan fujin to be useful in high gold or top tier, where you can't get screwed around by MM. the reason I think this is because of you so run into a higher lvl bot, you're gunna have a bad time. (I experience the same problem with my lancelots and griffins)

Not so much a fan of fujin as a support bot because of its medium wep ports. If you're going to run tulus then you might as well run them on a griffin with 2 pins. At least you can jump up from behind cover. Or, as someone else had suggested, put tridents on a carnage; depending on your tier, you can also consider a golem with trident/tulu/pin or even a (gasp!) Natasha with tridents and pins.

(I experience the same problem with my lancelots and griffins) Facing higher level bots is not fun, but if you have a 7-8ish hangar and a >50% win rate, you are basically guaranteed to face higher level bots almost every time. In the last five matches I have not encountered a single hangar with a lower average bot level than mine, no exaggeration there. Yes, I actually checked all of the profiles. Anyways, an important reason to keep the orks leveled is that there are a lot more PDBs below top tier that can chew up a Ork fujin, and plasma using bots become rarer as you go up because of the increased number of players able to afford shield bots, which definitely cuts in your favor.

After running the Fujin for awhile, I'm down to using either Tulumbas or Hydras on it. My problem with the Tulumbas is they are line of sight, and even then not every missile hits. Splash is good, of course, but that also means the damage estimate isn't quite accurate. OTOH, I've been testing a hydra, and it seems that you can unload about 11 missiles in the time it takes for a tulumba to shoot and reload. (Not getting cycle time on the wiki) That puts the hydra pretty close to the tulumba in damage, especially considering the difference in a direct hit vs. splash (not sure how much that is) plus you don't need line-of-sight. After I get my rhino, I'll probably load my Fujin with hydras and use my lvl8 Tulumbas on a RDB griffin. The jump makes it better suited for getting out of trouble. I found backing up against plasma difficult when there's a building in the way.

Taran Fujins are best fujins, only energy weapons can puncture the glass, and Tarans will take on shot-for-shot two of the energy weapons, but when you set yourself in the right place, the taran fujin is indomitable.

Taran fujin gets beaten by: PDB rhino, Hellifire rhino, DB Rhino, plasma griffin, plasma Galahad, rocket galahad, trident fury., pretty much everything aside from a DB Griffin. I have seen the taran fujin perform well in low silver though.
