I have Avengers one 1 and Calamities on the other, on my Gameroom account I have Dragoons. Dragoons and Calamities have 600 M range so have an advantage there. Calamities don't do their full damage until close up, whereas highly leveled Dragoons hit full power even at 600 M, having said that you can easily miss with Dragoons against having the Calamities lock on. Avengers have 500 M range so are less useful on an open map but especially if you have the pilot skill shot grouping they decimate shields and most bots quickly. Downside they take 15 seconds to empty so you need a long clear shot at your target to do max damage, and against tanks like Falcon (unless they jump) it can take several magazines to destroy them. Avenger Ao Jun is my primary bot and most games it's the only bot I drop for the entire game, it is currently level 9 with Mk:2 Level 8 Avengers. It can drop a Titan with 2 or 3 full magazines depending if you get close enough to use the inbuilt Dragons Breath. A recent game I played I took out 5 Titans for a total of 15 kills, 3.1 M damage only using the Avenger Ao Jun.

| | | | | Avenger | Viper | Glacier | Calamity | Redeemer | Glory | Ember |
- 2x Avenger (the standard Ao Jun weapon - most popular, most well regarded, most preferred, great damage, great against Titans, and the cheapest to level)
Avengers become significantly more powerful when combined with their Sharpshooter pilot skill.
Other very good (and fun) options include:- 2x Viper (corrosion damage - can hurt Repulsing Leeches - but have an annoying sound)
- 2x Glacier (300m ice rocket splash burst)
- 2x Calamity (600m Taser build - lacks in damage compared to Avengers, but it automatically tracks your target as you fly - you'll need to lock on your opponent/s first - NOTE: I hear that Ravana's ability breaks the targeting lock)
These are also very good in their own right but your mileage may vary with them:- 2x Redeemer (350m skilled brawling build)
- 2x Glory (lockdown shotguns - but you need to get close to do much damage)
- 2x Ember (350m SLOW-moving fire trail with splash damage)
New Avengers cost around 64 million Silver in upgrade costs (each) to upgrade them from Level 1 to Level 12. Vipers cost around 134 million each. And Glaciers, Calamities, Redeemers, Glories, Embers, Dragoons and Avalanches cost around 171 million each.

Take the time to learn Redeemers, they are the best overall. Avengers are very good. I’m guessing that Embers would be great vs Titans

I have tried several weapons over the past few months.
Avengers are good only because of performance at a low cost point. For many, this low cost point makes them the very best and is why you see this combo far more than others. From a strictly damage point, they are not the best.
Redeemers. This is the very best, but will take some time to get used to. They hit very hard and reload quickly compared to Avengers.
Glacier. My favorite. These will tear big chunks out of Authors and we have all been seeing more Authors out there lately. Yes they enter the pew...pew...pew phase pretty quickly, but they reload really quick as well and it never takes more than 1/2 a clip to destroy most garden variety bots.
Glory. Hits hard and easier to aim as compared to Redeemer. One clanmate swears by it. I personally did not like it, but cannot argue with results.
Viper. Not quite as good as Avengers until you run into bots with DR. Word in clan is there was a silent buff to DOT of these weapons. I actually took my T-Fal out due to a perceived increase in DOT of these weapons after last update. This system really does seem to knock DR bots down quickly.
No other options should be given serious consideration. I have tried Embers, Avalanche, and Goons. These just do not perform that well.
Have not tried Calamity, but have felt them in the field. They are very expensive and have a wait for lock-on, but they do hit hard. My issue is that most who run them tend to stay at the outer ranges and never get in close. Gotta get into the ranges of you built in to really make the Ao Jun shine. Relying on MR weapons and then staying at the limits of those MR weapons is really not doing anything of worth during the battle. Use the bot as it was designed. An up close brawler. Not a sniper.

Are your Glaciers Mk2? I have two but there’s no way I can MK2 them like my Avengers. Wondering about the feasible comparison between lvl 9 Glaciers vs lvl 12 Avengers (I have two more non-mk2 ones).

+1 for Avengers and Embers. Been running both for a year with a lot of success. May plant my Vipers on one this year.

My 1st one is. It was won on the very 1st day....free spin or daily task spin...and was rushed to mk2lvl12. I was lucky because a couple days later they fixed the upgrade price. My 2nd is just now taking advantage of upgrade discounts and will be lvl12 in a couple days. I have no silver left so I am not rushing it. It will be put through the mk2 ringer as soon as it is done. Lvl9 is the very minimum and they perform well. At that level. Lvl10 is when they really start to shine though. I personally would rather 2 lvl10 Glaciers over 2 lvl12 Avengers. That is just personal choice so take with a grain of salt. Bottom line, run them. See if you like them. Most who have tried them seem to prefer them.

My Level 8 Glaciers (vs Level 12 MK2 Sharpshooter Avengers) were still a pleasure to use and made for a good, fun change Garbage game . They also killed bots very well in iOS low-Champions League. I liked my Sinister Glaciers enough to try getting four regular ones, and I'm currently grinding the silver to Level 12 MK2 all four of them.

OK this is kinda off topic but as far as pilot skills go while Sharpshooter is the best thing to get for an Avenger Ao Jun, the next best skill imo is Road Hog. Then you can really start walking in and out of cover effectively to fight on the ground. Before that, Ao Jun is much more a hide-until-ability bot. Even Mechanic feels less vital to enjoying an Ao Jun than Road Hog. Just my 2¢ of course.

Guidance operator with 50% lock on reduction and Calamaties are deadly - especially when you close in as a lot of people forget taser builds get much stronger the closer to your target. I use embers on my other Ao Jun as they are wicked fun and surprisingly easy to track and hit targets while in the air. Tried dual Exodus and even at level 9 they were underwhelming and a waste of silver. They should have been much stronger but more pixo dust under the bridge (along with my wasted silver). Avengers are the defacto starter build for Ao Jun's and for good reason. Tried dual Glory and while fun, I didn't get the 'hit' that I was expecting. The only thing I haven't tried is dual redeemers but I hear they are good and I've been on the receiving end - not fun. Better bring lots of silver to the party for that build

Twin Nashorns. Make sure that you stay outside 350m.
Don't run one, most things seem pretty strong on it.

If you want to go against other Ao Jun with Quantum Radar, a pair of Redeemers or even Dragoons might be good. Otherwise, Avengers are pretty sweet, definitely best bang for the Ag buck. Embers are obviously a great match for the breath weapon, and so are lock down or cryo weapons. But still, Avengers with sharpshooter and speedshooter pilot skills, can't go wrong with those.

When I swapped to Avengers my average damage went from 800 something to over 1 million and my kills per game increased by two... Granted Exos are garbage compared to Glaciers... But this was going from Lvl 9 Exos to Mk2 12 Avengers so yeah... I’ll consider upgrading Glaciers to 9 for my normal Falcon or a future Ao Jun then

Allows you to empty your clip faster so you can reload for your next strafing run.

Arthurs also went down in two goes. Much better than my Exodus Ao Jun. My Avenger Ao Jun can sometimes get a GODLIKE in one flight & fall, though. Also, sitting back at 500m while firing away at Titans is a dream. Yeah itâs the best Titan Killer I have...Iâm usually in deep 「dookie」 if a lvl 150 Plasma Ao Ming spawns and my Ao Jun is dead.

I run 2x Ao Juns in my hangar. One has Avengers, the other Vipers. I prefer that set up over others because:
- Redeemers are tough for me to maximize DPS; require a lot of skill that I don't seem to have
- Embers and Glaciers are very powerful, but you have to sacrifice closing distance (or escape ability) due to having to be close up to do damage
- Glories required less than 200m to be fully effective in my opinion
Good luck.

I think YOU should run ZENITS...or really save Ag and leave those slots empty.
(I have to admit... I'm thinking more about myself than you....)
Now....if I were arming one....
VIPERS, AVENGERS...those seem to be the go-to weps....
CALAMITY would be an interesting nightmare weapon as some of its drawbacks would me mitigated by the stealth flight...and when not flying, you have more range than most of the weps in the game so you can keep reds at a distance as you recharge your flight (?)
AVALANCHE would have the advantage of being able to engage groups of reds....plus I think its splash would damage an ARTHUR through its shields. Its quicker reload will give you more than a charming smile to defend yourself on the ground after an attack run.

Like this guy said, avengers. however, with the rumoured nerf coming to avengers, you might want to skip them. I guess it depends how bad the nerf is.

This discussion has come up so many times, lol.....
I beleive Avengers are best, period, for those on a budget or spend very little. Redeemers are best for those with a lot of Ag or spend at least moderately.
All in all, being able to level up is the key to doing that damage thing, so budget should be the bog consideration. Myself, I don’t spend anymore, so things like Glaciers are out-stupid expensive starting level 7 to upgrade.
Avenger nerf? Another? Find a way to make them work, or expect another pay to fix pilot skill....whatever.

If you aren't going to max MKII Ao Jun weapons, go Avengers. Avengers is Cheap and fast to upgrade. Avenger still 1 of the best weapons for Ao Jun (hard to say the best weapons as it depends on many situation)
For example, Level 12 Avenger better than level 8-9 other weapons. Or MKII 12 Avengers better than Level 10 others weapons. Or upgrade cost and time fo a max MKII Redeemer > 2 x max MKII Avengers.
