I'm coming up to 3500 Au (3200+)
First thing, AQ is tier 2, so it's significantly cheaper. 12M to take to 9.
I could immediately strap it with 4 gekkos and give it Lockdown Ammo for ?dookie?s and giggles.
What I'd really want is 4 stings on the AQ but they cost 2500 Au a pop. Yikes.
I like the fact AQ has a built-in tazer that does 30k cycle damage at lv9 (over 8s). In melee at 50M that's 137% higher, over 70k. 70k is huge.
Durability at lv9 is 117,500, pretty fragile. Speed is 50km. Flies for 10s at 60km.
Convince me not to. I'm not too concerned about Au for skills. Of my 5 hangars, 2 great skills are on the majority of them already. I'm not really concerned with getting a third skill right now.
Punishers are another option. Cheap, effective.. pairs well with the tazer. 4x lv10 has 340k cycle
Molots may be an even better option.. 4x lv10 has 180k cycle (3-4s shorter than punis too). May be the best option as it still offers melee capability while holding to AQ's altitude advantage and delicate armor

I like mine. 4 mk2 maxed punishers with increased damage, tightened shot group, and ramped up cycle abilities, plus shield breaker is a deadly combination.

If you do get the AG be sure to use cover when available. Towers, spires and walls can be a big help in keeping a fragile Ao Qin alive while in flight.
Also consider using its ability as a way of finishing off damaged reds. That way you get kills with it. I’ve used both pieces of advice when running my AQ.
Sparks are a great weapon too if you can get a hold of them. Pairs well with the in-built weapon, obviously.
Happy hunting. If you like the AQ, an Ao Guang may appeal to you too. That things an aerial beast. I sometimes have more fun with it that my Ao Jun.

It's a great bot. The most fragile of the three dragons however.
Mine's 9/10 with Molots. Mechanic, Sharpshooter, Speed Shooter. It's mad fun. My setup does great on long maps and is weak on short. I HATE Carrier. It's not going to get you high numbers for silver farming but you can help your team control the map.
Just don't 1v1 anyone in it like a meathead, thats Guang and Jun's job. Backup your teammates from a distance and it will boogy.

I'm not super sure. I got one on my smurf account and it has quad Punishers. Nothing is super leveled so far but as I've gotten that account higher in the ranks, it's been really fragile.

What about Marquee? 600 is a good distance....but, Gekkos or Nori’s might be better......it seems death would be quick any closer

Marquee and Sparks mix are pretty good, but sParks kinda leave you hanging with when one uses Stealth
for me i Really liked the the (4)Arbalest coupled with DM, i made sure my Pilot had fast recharge rate for the Arbalest. plus running it helped my AQ survive and i could get good angles of Fire with the Flighy Mode.

I also have no convincing argument not to get one. Personally, I hate AJs. AQ and AG can be killed without Quantum Radar so I have no problem with them. My best argument- It's a helluva lot of Au for the bot and 3 Storms. That's it. Not very convincing, right? I say ' Ride into the Danger Zone'

Well I won a marquess yesterday finishing Dragoon Raven. I was at 3400/3500 gold lol, and I have some survey $ left over, so I spent $2 on 650+200 Au... whatever. I naturally went with the gekkos to start and got it to lv5 to tool around with Lockdown Ammo. It's a pretty neat tool actually. With the altitude and range you can basically lockdown anybody not directly behind cover. The tazer throws in some additional damage even outside its effective range. Carnage can be swapped in 5th legacy hangar, Raijin stays in hangar 4 with the vipers for now, while I get started on Behemoth. Really also want a regular glacier for Fenrir. That's all I need now... Updated my hangar in signature

Maybe I'll change my AQ over to Gekkos when I get the gold in that account.

You are a madlad Mr On. Hangars for daaaaaays.
I have 2 of those little red mosquitoes and one is a level 9.
I don't know how much you'd like Stings... I have 4 that got early on specifically for the AQ and while there were some successes, it was an overall disappointment. Granted, that was before DR was so prevalent... so it really didn't get to serve its intended purpose. So... take it for what it's worth.
If I remember to, tonight, I'll slap the Stings (all level 9 I believe) on and run a few TDM matches to see how it goes and post my observations of how they work in the current META for Masters and LC leagues.

Why would you want a Dookie Dragon? I could take one of those down in 5 seconds with my Au Guang that has 3 maxed scourges on it while taking the full brunt of whatever you throw at it. Same goes but quicker for an Au Jun I have with maxed out Dragoon s on it. Don't do it!

@op: I love your enthusiasm I'm sure you would give me fits on the battlefield, but, if/when you get promoted your Ao Qin will be super fragile.
Light weapons that could be used in Champions League: Gust, Magnum, Spark, Rime, Halo. Sting is not on the list until it gets a heckuva buff. Although expensive, Sparks may suit your needs for now. Keep your eyes peeled for sales and if you level them to 5 or so, it may not be too spendy.

In case anyone is wondering, the pronunciation of Ao Qin is OW JIN.
Other examples of Q in the spelling of Chinese words that have same sound are
- and instrument called Guquin, but pronounced GooJin, and - an inner martial art called Qigong, but pronounced JEEGONG
I run a Sting Marquess Ao Qin in my sons silver league account, it’s pretty cool

It's definitely different, Flux Fury can do the same thing but since it can fly AQ can lock so many targets, I can get 3-4 in like a split second. Plus you have added insurance with the tazer. It's almost untouchable on big maps but I wouldn't stay in it too long as Red catches on to your antics.

I run my 12mk2 Ao Qin with L10 Molots and it's a mighty fun gunship. Slap a Heavy Armour on it and it's a bit beefier.
I can't remember what skillz my pilot has but I'm sure one of them is the increased taser damage one.
4 Sparks would be great but the sound of those molots emptying. Also the cool downs sync in well.
Yeah it can be fragile but hey maybe not all bots are CQC brawlers.
Pick when you go to the sky. Make a B Line when you see a nice wounded red within range.
I'm looking forward to running mine again soon.

It is fragile, but I use it as a rescue bot. I love catching 2 Ares doing the tag team thing and ruining their party.

Ao Quins are super cute.
I've also mistaken them for Ao Mings at long distance.

Been thinking a Marquees Quin could be a HELL of a lot of fun (insert maniacal chuckle) I've tried this on the TS. It actually isn't fun at all. IDK, maybe I'm too used to running triple Dragoons and taking chunks of HP off with each shot. The AQ has to fully expose it's torso to get all 4 Marqueses to hit. At 600m, there's lots of return energy fire that can melt the AQ very fast.
