An easy way to tell if a weapon is OE, is by checking the upgrade time with the time listed in the Equipment Upgrade Archive on the wiki since the "bug" only affected the upgrade costs. Thanks, I didn’t know time was still the OE value. I'm not entirely clear about your last question. Are you talking about how you would be able to differentiate between an OE and NE weapon that are both Mk1 level 12? What I mean is, the next upgrade of this Redeemer is to level 9 which is 17M for NE and 7.2M for OE. So my upgrade button will show 17M but the real cost will be 7.2M. Now, If I have 10M Ag and push the button will it go through and deduct 7.2M or will it say no, you can’t upgrade, you don’t have enough Ag? I'll test this when I drop below 13M. I've been below 20M this week.

Few days ago started OE Vortex upgrade and I had similar situation.
edit: oh, didn't noticed you got your answer already in earlier messages !

It's annoying to not know the right number.
OE Storm is still correct but scourge and the rest aren't.
