I've been figgerin that a Butch with 4 Tempest and Lockdown Ammo would be a good Titan fighter, since it out ranges any weapon they have. It's a setup I already have & use from time to time. However, only 2 of my Temps are MK2, with the others @mk1lvl 10. Yesterday, the price to go from 10 to 11 was, IIRC,16M. 11 to 12 was <26M> when I did the other 2. I've had these for nearly 2 years, so they're definitely OE.
I just looked at them a few min ago, and it 35M to go 10 to 11, and presumably 45M for 11 to 12.
Glitch? Sometimes updates make things screwy.

They’ve been screwing around with upgrade costs for a while, and one of the effect is that they seem to have ‘amalgamated’ OE and old NE weapons into a steadily more expensive cost scheme.
Haven’t tracked it on paper, but my sense is that L9 is the highest reasonably affordable point for things to stop, as things want to *double* in cost from there up (13mm @ L9 -> 25 a L10...). This is most obvious with items released closer to the “switch” point, but they keep pushing upgrade costs higher on everything, and OE is feeling the push.
My impression is that Pix has turned “old economy” into “original equipment”: the only gear not extortionate in upgrade cost seem to be spirals, punishers, molots, noricae, orkans, tulumbas, pins, etc....

I saw this on reddit too, so it is true. I hope it is just a bug.
https://www.reddit.com/r/walkingwarrobots/comments/e5n2ka/old_economy_is_no_more/
If this is not a bug, I will stop upgrading my primary hangar and throw it to the trash can and stay in Masters forever, because it completely screws with my plans. If I can't upgrade a few stuff for cheap, than I have no reason to upgrade my hangar at all. Back to level cap I guess.

So, this wasnt exactly mentioned by Pix when they made the previous announcement.

The upgrades prices on only Old Economy (OE) weapons and not OE bots were changed to New Economy prices. Also, the upgrade times were not affected. This leads me to believe that it was an intentional change, and not just a bug/mistake.
If you have a Facebook or Google (YouTube) account, please comment on their "TITANS HAVE ARRIVED" post on Facebook and "CHRISTMAS EVENT & TITANS!" post on YouTube, and let them know you are unhappy with the change. Even if it doesn't affect you directly, please comment anyway. Pixonic will likely only do something if enough players speak up.

THIS... if true and intentional... may be it for me. I don't have anything to say that no one else hasn't said already as far as how stupid their game management is... but I will just straight up stop playing if this is the new norm. After almost 4 years now.
C'mon Pix... FFS... live up to just ONE of your promises.

Thanks for the confirmation.
I just looked at the only Dragoon I haven't taken to MK2 yet. 2 days ago it was 36M to go 11 to 12. Now it's 55M. I saved a lot of OE stuff, so this will have an effect on me.
I don't have a problem with people making money off their work. When I make a voluntary transaction (which inludes outright purchases as well as aquisition through grinding or winning prizes) that means I've accepted the terms. I have a real problem with those terms changing after the fact. That's called fraud, whether the legal threshold has been met or not.
If this isn't a glitch, I guess I've got a decision to make.

It's in my chart. Tempest is tier 3 (unlike Avenger, which is tier 2). So the 35M lv11 is normal.
Get a behemoth for the 4.
I have something else to verify. I had a couple NE pinatas on my strider I was taking from 8 to 9. Pinatas are tier 2. Anyway, they say it costs 6M (to get lv9) but actually the upgrade cost 4M?

So if we did mk2 with OE it gets changed as well? My only OE weapons not MK2ed are 3 STs and 3 Dragoons.

OE to NE was weird in some cases. For instance, it's better to restart NE tier 1 equipment than it is to continue leveling OE tier 1 equipment. OE Lv9 Punisher T costs 4.5M. NE is 3M In tier 2, Orkan lv9 OE costs 5.4M. NE is 6M. Not much difference. Tier 3 began with Tempest and Hover. Tier 4 is entirely NE's creation. Shredder/Pulsar/Mender fit here immediately with 4.0

OK I have more information.
The other day I just rebuilt 2 lv8 punishers because OE 9 cost 4.5M (and subsequently cost more to cap)
Well, I held onto the OE punishers. After they update, they got the NE treatment. Nice having some extra punis but now I feel like I wasted a brief minute.. Why doesn't Pixonic disclose this ?dookie??
On other hand, An OE lv6 storm saw no change (tier 2). It (still) costs 1.6M to take to 7.

True. Some are way out of whack. Embers and Scourge are the 2 OE weapons that are the best values. When I heard this, I started maxing my 2 OE Embers. I'm almost done, then it's time to max my last OE Scourge before the iOS update. This is some crap for sure. If you're on iOS, it's probably a good idea to sell OE gear that you won't have time to max, especially if you definitely won't be maxing it after the upgrade costs increase. I may ditch my OE Dragoons to do this.

If the OE item was cheaper than the NE, they did not convert it. Like looking at my punisher and storm. The punisher I know for sure got converted to NE, but it benefited me. The Storm did not get converted, but it would not benefit me. Weird, I know, Pix doing nice things. But there also seems to be some glitches, because my listed price on Pinata was not accurate. Less was deducted from my balance than the listed price. It is NE from the beginning.

Further confirmations:
OE Thunder converted to NE (6M lv9 became 3M)
OK I have a negative here.
Gust converted to NE. lv9 originally 3.6M, became 6M.
I remember all these numbers just because I've been leveling my 5 hangars from 8 to 9 and planning what to start with.

OK REAL bad one here. OE Vortex became NE. lv9 from 5.4M to 13M. ã??fluffernutterã? More confirmations. Scourge OE became NE. 4.5M became 13M ?fluffernutter? I think it's safe to say OE no longer exists. The storm slipped by me, because 1.6M 7 is actually NE, not OE. OE is definitely dead.

This may be an unpopular opinion and it was wrong of Pix to not give a heads-up to this change, but the New Economy started on July 3rd, 2018 if I remember correctly. That is 17 months ago. That's an ample period of time to finish upgrading the ones you liked. I'd say don't worry about it at this point. There are so many other legitimate things to complain about with this game concerning broken Pix promises.

Quick update....
My OE bots are still@ OE prices. I have a Bulgy, Kumi, Haechi, and Inquisitor all at lvl 11, and all are still just 24M to go to lvl 12. Likewise on a pair of Spectres, both @ 11, only 33.6M to 12.

RightOn Look at my post with the screenshots I posted, all of the upgrade prices went up. The upgrade prices used to match the pricing listed on the equipment archive page of the wiki. You can tell it's OE because upgrade times match the ones listed on the archive. warrobots.fandom.com/wiki/War_Robots_Wiki:Equipment_Upgrades:_Archived_ValuesAs far as the Storm goes, the upgrade pricing for the OE and NE versions are very similar so the change wouldn't be as noticeable. slugpug I took a look at the comments on that Facebook post and only saw a handful pertaining to the upgrade price increase on OE weapons. If you or anyone who's reading this hasn't commented already, please do so. Also, SuperHero and Ⓑⓞⓑ Ⓓⓨⓛⓐⓝ, I know you guys have contacts at or know people who have contacts at Pixonic, if you could please look into this it would be very helpful.

While agree there are many issues that need addressing, this constitutes the breaking of one's word. It's a type of theft, if intentional. If I participate further once I see it, I'm complicit. I can't do that in good conscience. I'm still not convinced it's intentional. Hanlons Razor: "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity." In this case it would be an error. One which has been made before, and remedied by support to my satisfaction.

That's an ample period of time to finish upgrading the ones you liked. I'd say don't worry about it at this point. There are so many other legitimate things to complain about with this game concerning broken Pix promises. I disagree. Half my hangar is NE, and I had to balance it with my OE gear. Running lvl 1 halos with lvl 12 mk2 embers. Who does that? This is game breaker. Stop defending and justifying this. We are getting ?grape? in the butt and you turn your head away. ?whiskey tango foxtrot? Okay, I will remember you standing shoulder by shoulder with us lol
As a general rant:
I don't care about them ?fluffernutter?ing with performance of in game items as long as they don't touch prices for the worse. I plan based on a possible performance loss in mind, not based on an increase in upgrade cost half way through the process. I choose the particular equipment, because I know I can grind the silver for it. If I can't I simply won't use it.
Do you know how much it takes me now to get 200 million silver? I still did not care enough to quit, because I wanted to play this game for years to come, so the slow income of silver wasn't that big deal, and I had a couple OE stuff to ease the NE pain when I am draining silver too fast.
Yesterday I was thinking I will handle the changes, the more I think about it the less sure I am I want to keep being deceived and lied to by a game developer. We are trying 3 month game pass ultimate for PC with my friends, I think I will be fine without War Robots.
They can remove OE and I am gone, ?fluffernutter? PIXONIC. These ?fluffernutter?ing idiots with their platform merge, by the time they do it this game will be fully ruined for me. Sockpuppets and kiss up e-boys begging for e-gifts then bragging with their e-?lightning rod? on social media cheering for . every . single . garbage . that makes gameplay an unpredictable cluster?fluffernutter? mess and economy worse. I am sick of all of them sucking up to Picnic (not typo) and defending them. There are so many of them this company can get away with anything.
Well, I think this was too much War Robots for me in the past 24 hours. So many crap in so little time. Can't handle it. Don't remember feeling this hatred towards them since the removal of keys from supply chest.
I really hope this is just another example of their incompetency, and it turns out to be a bug fixed in the quick patch.
I guess I have to take a break, give it time till they release a statement or the iOS update. We can't change anything, the only thing we can do is sit back and observe/"enjoy" how this ?dookie?show turns out. No time to waste for anger this time of the year when we should enjoy the best part of it. Make the most out of it. Pix choose the wrong season to ?fluffernutter? with my mood. I'd reather put the game on hold than being irritated by them.
When majority of your revenue relies on a few dozen of Whales (and we are talking about Whales with BIG W), you take some of them out from the equation and you have a crash. If your monetisation is good, you can afford to lose paying users. Pix can't afford to lose Whales, that is why they have to constantly please them. They can't just introduce value to money offers, because they did not build up a playerbase that has the mentality for paying $5-$15 a month for entertainment.
The guy got thrown out of the window years ago, and there is no turning back...

Yep. It really screwed over plans to take some gear from 8 to 9. The difference is ~10M on a single upgrade. Staggering. I can't take scourges on quizo further. Can't take vortex further on hover. Can't even level gusts to 10 on Rhino. Sure some things strangely benefit (Zeus Fury, and that tier 1 stuff I could easily replace anyway) but this sucks. Once an upgrade exceeds 10M I just turn the other way. The damn mender has been lv8, glaring at me about a missing module since the dawn of NE.

I can understand that it is upsetting that they went back on something Pix promised. However, this is Pixonic we are talking about. They are only consistent in breaking promises. Reminds me of the Football Gag in the Peanuts comic strip. We need to try and not be Charlie Brown and attempt to kick the ball again. We will end up on our collective keisters if we do.
