Hello,
Has anybody worked out how the drops on the Special Delivery work? I have seen that a lot of people are winning a weapon on the fourth spin (I did too), but I have had a whole heap of sharts and PCs since then (13 spins total).
Any clue if it's worth continuing to grind? I have plenty of power cells!
TIA

I would not say It's worth it to grind, just play normally and if you get spins then good for you, otherwise it's fine. That is what I've been doing missed a few but I don't care too much about this event myself. If you want some extra resources then keep on with the event, just handfuls of silver, power cells, and some gold.
I won my first item on the third spin, and nothing since.

But yeah other than that, it’s mostly sharts for me as well. edit - some report wins on every 3rd spin, etc. I haven’t seen that or any secret pattern to winning.

So it kind of works out for me. I got my wish list of all the bots on want it from the event, but the price of not getting the medium and heavy Sinister ice missile launchers. I'm hoping between now and 6 days from now that I might get lucky and get my Cryo and Glacier launchers.

The old school task would be a good grind.. this new style.. just play and get what you can.

Totally random from my point of view. Started off great. Behemoth, heavy and medium cryo weapon’s, 1k Au. Then Powercells, small amount of Au and components.
Yesterday a Phantom.

It's totally random. Best not "grinding" for it. Just play and enjoy the game. Anything you win is a bonus.
It's a much better and healthier mindset to have.

Thanks for the responses.
Ironically enough, there was an advert for an online casino in the middle of the thread as I was reading it!

While I'm perfectly fine with gold, it's my pet peeve whenever I pick up Power Cells. I don't need these, I have 60K of them already. I'm hoping to win another Cryo for my Nemesis; I've bagged that and a Glacier so far, but the Glacier is butt-ugly and useless on my robots, as none of them are good candidates for it.

I’d be very cautious about assuming the pay outs are random. As far as I can remember every single gambling mechanism was rigged and/or was/is deceptive prior to this one. Even today the bronze, silver, gold and SC are deceptive and are rigged to an extent. Pix even commented about lack of randomness recently. Heaps of people got their money back and kept dash bots when they complained to apple that the card flip game was rigged. It was one after another and why would you think Pix came clean with the current SD box.
The issue with the SD chest is that it is so simple and players cannot decipher what is going on without seeing a much larger number of reliable outcomes.
Here is a revenue increasing options that can easily be deployed with this chest. An algorithm takes into account how much you are spending on the chest. The more you spend the lower are your marginal returns. Not that you get less but you get marginally less from your investment. If you don’t spend you get baited by better returns and suggests that an extra $15 or $50 will finish that bot off for you. And when you spend your marginal returns diminish and thereby making the item more expensive and eventually the cost is tied to your willingness to spend (within reason).
That you held back on the spins has IMO got more to do with the system baiting you to spend by giving better returns and thereby setting up a false perception of the odds.. Then after all this the question has to be asked as to why aren’t the odds published. That should be a dead giveaway.

Any clue if it's worth continuing to grind? I have plenty of power cells! TIA It’s pseudo random. Pixonic describes their method in that video I posted They use the exact same offer methodology for event crates: Random(n) , rare(1), common(min +random (n) )+ rare(1), common ( min + random (n ) -velocity) ... The first rare is preceded by some random noise rolls, most often 0. It’s always strong in the beginning to invent further purchases. After which I suspect it’s now random n rolls again (noise) + a min number of spins between purchases and then subtracting a velocity count, which represents your event spending. The random(n) function can return a negative as well. So as to confuse simple pattern detection

I just play and take whatever bone they throw me, this month is a bunch of leech sharts which converts instantly to silver for me.
IMO grinding for anything in this game is a fools errand unless youâre building something that you desire. Itâs a great game to just play once you can remove the pix mind「fluffernutter」 element from it and realize itâs not supposed to be work

We should not be here discussing this anyways. They must disclose the odds prior the purchase of a loot box, which they are not doing and violating Apple’?s guidelines. They are in violation since the Chinese new year event. I am surprised this game is not removed from the App Store yet.
Is it possible that no ?fluffernutter?ing body, not a single person of the 800k daily active users reported it to Apple to this day? So much about enforcing your own rules... Even Apple does not give a ?fluffernutter? if it makes money for them.

Thanks for the thoughtful responses T34 and linearblade. Pixo's business model is absolutely fascinating (to me at least), I'm sure that there is a grand plan in there somewhere, trying to work out what it is is intriguing. Or maybe there are half a dozen chimps whacking each other with keyboards at head office, which we can't completely discount I suppose. And thanks to everybody else, I'll be sure to put my phone down occasionally over the next week!

Even Apple does not give a ?fluffernutter? if it makes money for them. I’ve notified apple several times. And it’s always been “don’t buy anything else from this vendor, your money has been refunded, and we will forward this to legal” Then I get a reply from legal which says “we will investigate this. Due to customer privacy, we will not disclose results of our investigation “

If I could convert components to gold, I would. This is actually a great idea but Pix sucks. I'd give up my phantom and leech shafts in an instant.
Lol, my phone wanted to spell sharts as shafts so I just let it.

If people are saying 4th chest, I believe it. 1000 Au was around 8th... Glacier was 12... Every 4 chests?

I just used all my keys at once yesterday and got a full Phantom. Quite happy with that and I will probably not make much of an extra effort for this event. All the other stuff I got, about 14000 green crack and barely 900 gold plus some components (I have 2000 Leech now and sold the 2500 I got for Phantom) and one whole heavy cryo weapon I won't be using, doesn't warrant any grinding.

It is a contract between Pix and myself. We have me on one side playing matches completing tasks collecting tokens. When I have enough, I open a chest. They complete their side by delivering something.
I don't care what it is, it is also something I didn't have.

I've gotten a lot of stuff from the event, but I think I got lucky, recently its just been powercells, which I don't mind, I already have enough bots and weapons to concern myself with, once I'm done mk2ing the storms on my leech I'm going to work on my Sinister Cryo/Sinister Rime Phantom.

With the Cryo weapons, I guess I could make the ugliest Ice Golem ever.

All I keep winning are frigging power cells. I got a sinister Glacier, some Leech components, and about 20,000 power cells so far.
