The MM is a joke for many lower league players. The lack of players has forced PIX to pit 4200 league points player in the middle of the month against champs with DOUBLE their league points against them! How is this even remotely close to "fair" match making? Simple Answer. Its not. The best advice I can give lower level players playing against champs is pair up. If your solo, tag along with a champ thats actively trying to capture and hold beacons, Learn to focus fire, and concentrate your fire together against reds, share and alternate shields and just get out there! Things NOT to do... Play range as first bot on small maps. Think that its "someone elses job to capture AND hold beacons, just grabbing it and then leaving it unprotected doesn't help your team.
Keep in mind. its only going to get harder as you progress. teamwork and beacon control is the key. And I know, we ALL hit impossible kill squads that you will never beat. Just do your best and move on to the next match.

The current mm works in a series of games where you will get matchup with equally ranked player (best case scenario). When you have won multiple games in a row or end up top three it will match you up against better and better players if you are still winning. Until you beaten up and lost a series of games in a row. So just a tip. Save your 30 m boosters to use while youre on a winning run. And dont boost up while youre on a losing run. The mm will almost always give you 50% win rate eventually.
The mm i think always picks 2 players from high champ/legend, two players from low champ, and two players from masters every game.

It is a 「dookie」show and has been a 「dookie」show for some time. One in three bots is an Ao Jun. Just play the less skilled pilots and kill a few. Killing four Ao Juns in a row with a Pursuer is still some sort of fun. Ares feel easy now, but if caught, puff into fine air and new bot.
TBH, the two things I'd get rid of right now are Last Stand and 「fan career」ber / leech.

Whenever the MM has me targeted for torture, I switch it up. My theory is that the MM is a gargantuan, evil collection of algorithms that have ONE JOB —to keep you at 50% or lower with a short break to wander into 60-70% country then bash you back into your proper place. So I never run the same hangars for too long OR play the same game mode for too long. Granted I have a lot of toys and gear at my disposal, but this quirky little adjustment usually works to blast me out of whatever pigeonhole the MM had me in. After I swap some gear around I will restart my device and play a completely different mode (FFA usually) with a different hangar. Try it out, nothing to lose. I second this MM opinion. I've started a thing where at the start of the month I select a new hangar. Like this. And I only level up those weapons and bots and pilots. One bot is usually lower levelled and I make it my mission to 12mk2 it. Natty was the selected bot this month. I play an exiled bot. A capper. A bird. A tank and a multi use. Month starts at 50% win rate I cop a beat down and before long I stabilize at 50%. Bot kill rate and damage near the same. I dropped a few trophies but that has stabilized and I'm gonna expect that to start heading up again as I get better with those bots and they get slightly stronger. It's an experiment that I'm gonna continue.

I prefer to play against Champions League I like the challenge, but I prefer when there's a diversity of bots and its not all phantoms and now leeches. But phantoms make me laugh as the run funny like Lokis.

Id love to be able to play Rogs again but that would never be viable in Champs. Well, Unless your BB. :-)

I've chose to remain 8 not just because it costs a lot but a little bit is spite.. idk it's also the original game and where test server lies The fact is champs is champs too. Everybody is erased back to 5k. And I'm sitting here with multiple 8 hangars so yeah, woo! And anything can be relevant, especially with a couple particular pilot skills.. but once again, Don't lose your mind. 2 or 3 is great

Low champs has always been tough. No one wants to drop a league and lose champ crate progress. Once you get past that low champ jump though it is easy. Don’t even need to use green crack.

Don't worry about crates. You get all that progress back and master crates are arguably better value... But champs does get some components. Use an honor booster if you need to stay afloat. I haven't even thought about it after I made champs (for whatever reason it was harder getting here than staying here - I think Pix just trolls me¿) Stay around 5100-5200. But isn't any different. I notice no difference at all in upper M and C. What really pushed me up was the change in point calculation.

To save tour boosters for a winning streak. For me this does nothing. I’m in champs iOS and I usually place 1/2 and my damage is almost always the same 1/1.5 million. Seems the only thing I see are the wild swings in game and winning percentage.

Its total 「dookie」 and this is coming from somebody with what many would consider to be a great hangar but not the best compared to what some people have.
My hangar: 1 lvl 12 leech, 4 lvl 12 coronas, maxed last stand, 2 maxed regular defense mods, lvl 40 pilot
3 lvl 12 ao Juns, 2 mk2 avengers, 2 lvl 12 redeemer, 2 lvl 12 glory, all with maxed Last Stand, maxed regular damage mod, & lvl 40 pilot
1 lvl 12 ares, 2 mk2 storms, 2 mk2 halos, maxed last stand, maxed regular dmg mods, lvl 40 pilot.
None of my bots are mk2, none have more than basic mods other than last stands, and none have higher than lvl 40 pilots. My average damage in beacon rush was up to 1.9 million damage and climbing until my 5 year old son wanted to play for a few games. I'm constantly hitting 2.5 to 3 million damage per game with 6 beacons capped while all my team deals 750k damage or less with a few beacons scattered between them. This is the power gap between myself and a regular player.
Now take my hangar and compare it to a top player running all phantoms, leeches, and ares with everything fully maxed with the best mods, pilot skills, weapons, etc. and one other guy with the same set up because they often run duos if not in a full squad. I barely make a dent in their phantoms health whenever I shoot it head on with my avenger ao jun. They can easily kill me and run over the entire team in a matter of minutes. They rarely run behind cover because there is such little need for it with everything maxed.
The power gap in champs is way too large. Pix made it this way intentionally by adding in what is essentially paid power-ups in order to squeeze extra money from high paying players. They continue to release bots with made up magic abilities that are too strong and nerf any older would be competing bot once it's become plagued in the game to force players to upgrade to the next best thing.
None of this is new to pix yet people continue to pay. Just tonight, I was considering spending $65 to purchase the remaining components for a phantom. It's time for a new game, people.
