Read some grumbling about the Avenger rework - I’ve personally not have much problems with them, other than accidentally giving enemy Ares a bit more juice. They’re both at level ten, and I’m still trying to grind money to get them to Mk2.
I’ve got a spare Redeemer and Ember sitting around, so I’m wondering if they’re more viable.

I'm running redeemers and like them. Nothing wrong with avengers... but you should spend a pilot skill on shot grouping if you go the avenger route.

Avengers are the best weapon on Au jun and are good on several meta bots including hades, Mercury, hellburner, etc. further, they cost far fewer resources to level than ember, glory or redeemer, which can, situationally, equal or exceed the avenger (eg for point blank range with glory or quietly taking down bots in a melee from 350 with redeemer. Personally, I think they are still much better than either redeemer or ember on a bulwark.

You will find that Redeemer and Ember do not pair that well. One or the other, but not both.
I would stick with the Avengers if I were you. Just get a pilot as already stated.

Agree with all above. Avengers are the way to go at least for my play style. Tried vipers and damage went down. Avenger has effects at its limit and only gets better as you get closer. Also the pilot skills help...sharp shooter in particular...then there are the modules that can really add to its killing and survivability. Fortifier was built for Bully and I also run with Quantum Radar because I love taking out stealth or fending off Au Jun when they come in for what they think is an easy kill.

I've gone Avenger + Redeemer on my Bulwark. I find that shot speed is about the same (if they aren't both hitscan), and, and the Avenger helps me aim my Redeemer. And if you hold down the trigger, both guns cover for each other's reload times. You can have about 42 seconds of continuous firing before both guns go on reload, and then it's only for a max of 5 seconds.

Still running my Trident Bulwark and still loving it. Avengers would be my number 2 option but I only have one which sits well on my Mercury or Fenrir.
