That was some pretty wicked play! Question about the Tridents. What level are they and where do you aim these days to get some splash damage? Or do you only take the shot when you're pretty sure you have a direct hit?

Or do you only take the shot when you're pretty sure you have a direct hit? Entire hanger is 12/12 MK1, except for a Redeemer which is lvl 11. I only really spend silver on upgrades, and considering the limited amount of weapons and bots I have, upgrading isn't as challenging to me as the average player. The splash radius is pretty low these days, so I target as close to the actual bot as possible. Of course, you need to lead the target a bit since the missile speed of the Trident isn't particularly fast. It's all about predicting where your enemy is gonna be and shooting there. Splashing around corners isn't as reliable as they used to be, but I regularly fire a test missile to check if he's close enough to the edge or not. I also alternate my shots regularly. I do this so that in case I miss a target, I only waste one bullet as opposed to two. Once I see that I missed, I fix up my aiming and quickly hit him with the bullet of the other weapon. This helps me keep my damage output higher than it would be otherwise.

Nice one, DI! I need to record more of my play as I had a 1.48 million damage game using just one level 7 Ao Jun with level 7 Redeemers just yesterday.

I had a third one but I got rid of it cause it was OE and was way too costly in silver and time to upgrade. Now, I've been playing with the idea of getting a 3rd Trident and doing the triple Trident Falcon again. But, that would cost me 1k gold and push back my plans for a legacy'ish hangar - which wouldn't be that bad cause I'm also looking for a semi-permanent build for my 2nd Falcon. My first Falcon is permanent with L9 Dragoons (which I will likely upgrade one day). IDK. I have 3 L9 Tempests and a pilot with the Tempest skills, both the spread reducer and the faster firing. But, I find that it still doesn't do damage fast enough before prey gets away. If I go back to running Tempests, that would be the cheapest and easiest solution for me.

Why do you want to build a Triple Trident Falcon? The middle slot should be used to hold a weapon that can deal consistent damage rather than holding a single Trident which runs out of steam far too quickly. If you want to hold Tridents on your wings, then I suggest putting a long rangish brawling weapon like Vipers on the middle. Vipers deal respectable amounts of damage from 400m. So you could whittle them down from 400m before spreading your wings to finish them off with your Tridents as they try to escape behind cover. NOTE: I have zero experience piloting a Falcon (except once or twice in Skirmish/Custom Hanger), so don't take my advice too seriously. That being said, I have pretty much all heavy weapons in the game (except for Avalanches), so I have a pretty good idea on how to use them.

Thanks! Good point! I like the Falcon and I'm trying to find another good MR build for it. With my L9 playing level, my Falcons will never be the brawler that other people have - and I absolutely refuse to go T-Falcon on it. I'm currently playing around with Ancile/Exodus, but it's just for fun. It's not a long term build by any means.
I suppose I can go Tempest/Trident with Lockdown Ammo. Lock them down with the Tempest and the go to town with the Tridents at 600m. But, I don't think I'll be doing as much damage as I want. The Dragoon Falcon is still the best MR build for the Falcon.
Sorry, I know this is a Carnage thread, but you got me thinking...
Anyway, I'll keep experimenting on my own. Carnage on!

Great work, expert use of terrain and cover. Trident Carny was my first mobile sniper back in the day, I also staggered my shots for various reasons as I still do with other weaps nowadays, it improves your chances of connecting IMO. Loved those goon shots threading the needle at the end. You’re a master Carninja

Yeah lol, my bot is too slow to cover such open ground and cap a beacon. Might as well stay further back and pave the way for my the teammates to do the capping stuff. Shoutout to my teammates for capping beacons and bringing home the win. All I did was annoy the enemy long enough.
