I saw a silver league player in my team a couple of days ago. I'm in mid-Champions League. Of course, we lost what he could do with his four robots.

What's REALLY HELPFUL is when a higher league pilot takes a lower league pilot under his wing and shows him the ropes in battle.....
You know....when an EXPERT squads with GOLD....or a MASTER with a DIAMOND.....
Yep....the lower league pilot learns a lot...like how to make and eat a bowl of popcorn in the remaining battle time he has....
(This post should not be viewed as making derisive comments upon pilots below the rank of EXPERT.... everyone starts somewhere...
But maybe not agreeing to be dragged into a fight against pilots where your gear is outclassed would be the smart move.)

I figured the pictures would tell the story here. As you all know Pix shook up the MM a bit recently, thrusting vastly different skill/league levels together quite often. As some have suggested, it appears to be purely based on total cups vs total cups, or near enough that, without regard for some silly matchups like the one displayed here. The top two blues account for over 36k cups alone. The rest of us blues are low 4k each. The reds are all Champ league but in the low 5k range. It was interesting at first for me, generally tough opponents to face at my level, a challenge I enjoy. But then we just ran away with the match in very short order. I didn't quite understand why until it was over One major benefit I've noted is much shorter wait times for battles. I suppose that helps us all with waiting less and fighting more. I find it makes matches rather interesting at my low Master level, harder. Takeaway is an opportunity to improve your craft against impossible odds - to a point. There is nothing you can do at a certain disparity level. I've noticed lately, as of yesterday and this morning that Pix MM is throwing me some fun puffball matches (relatively) so that suddenly I'm the overpowered one with mostly Expert league teammates and opposition. This is a little more balanced since it has been 1 low-mid Masters League on each side with the rest being mixed EL. It's like a moment to catch my breath, suddenly my low-ish level gear is actually working pretty well, I'm not instantly melting the moment I leave cover. As much as I have bemoaned the heavy losses of late, overall I kind of enjoy the roller coaster and like to see first hand - right in my face as I die - the power of maxed/near maxed gear that is played well.

It has been different for sure. Even though I am high champs your story sounds about like mine and agree with what you say. The solo ride is crazy now.

I haven't really looked at the after battle stats in a while, but, for the last week or so, I've been earning more cups than I've been losing. Usually, after I hit Champs, I'll stay there for a day or so and then fall back down to mid M1 before climbing back up. But, over the last few days, my number of bad games has decreased, and even when I lose, I've only had a few where I've lost -17. I've also haven't RQ'd a game, so even when I lose, it wasn't a horrible loss...and really have only encountered a few squads. I don't know if this is MM getting better, or maybe, as my more paranoid side thinks, that maybe cause it's the end of the season and the game wants me to earn as many cups as possible so that when I inevitably lose them, it'll hurt more.

Agreed much shorter wait times usually under 10 seconds. However I'm often a matched with Champions League players up to 13k Cups, and then there's me and my equivalent on the Red team, M3 silver generators.
