It seems to be random getting Legendary pilots. Unless you spend a bunch of gold refreshing the list... My plan is to take it slow and save gold until I see pilots I really want.

The common pilot already has 7 skills. Whats the point of the legendary then beside the one special skill. Though it does not say how many skills the legendary has but I assume 7 as well
So it seems yoi must get as many pilots as possible early in order to level them. At least one for each bot you use

Not sure, but looks like you can upgrade them by just playing for experience

Kyle Rogers constant healing ability could put Inquisitors back on the map, 6,000 healing per second at no cost is no joke.

Imagine that free healing legendary ability on a bot with jump/stealth to get out of trouble, then you pick every increased speed/cooldown ability possible to make up for Quizzie weakness (slow). Sounds like a winner to me.

I still say I am the pilot of my bots. These guys and gals are just along for the ride.

Sounds like a winner to me. It probably heals only up to a point, a point that decreases the more damage you take in, just like regular healing. That’s still good, but not as much. I don’t think it’s better than Ares or Ao Jun with a heal module.

it's frustrating. I believe I have reached the point of abandoning the game.

This is being implemented very poorly. Nevermind the pay to win aspect... people are going to be changing their hangers up a lot less now, and that will suck some of the fun out of the game. Being able to customize robots with different weapons and such is important.
Seems odd that Pixonic is pushing this as a way to improve customization, when in reality it will do the opposite.

As much as i think pilots are unnecessary and takes away the feeling of BEING a pilot, i'm glad that once you purchase one, you get to keep them, i was thinking they'd pull an EA and make it so every time you wanted to swap out a pilot there'd be a gold fee. Personally, i would've gone a different direction and made several pilot classes to choose from per bot and the ability to make your own pilot ala Halo Reach.Hate it all you want, unless we can get half the playerbase to revolt, we're gonna have to adapt whether we like it or not. There's only a about i'd say a 30% dislike ratio on the video, only a HUGE dislike wave might, MIGHT change their minds.

Since when is "addicted losers" now politically incorrect? Better yet, politicians are the worst form of human..why do they get to correct anything?

I'm actually getting a little bit excited. Maybe this might be the thing to make me have fun and playing again, but then again without changes to MM it could be the thing that completely ruins it for me. Either way I'm excited to try it out and see how it goes.

Either way I'm excited to try it out and see how it goes. Were you excited about the Last stand and Thermonuclear reactor modules? Pilots are essentially advanced modules that give powerful perks and only the wallet warriors will have them maxed. Plus they are going to be far more expensive than the current modules. Since when is "addicted losers" now politically incorrect? Better yet, politicians are the worst form of human..why do they get to correct anything? The "addicted losers" are the wallet warriors who 「fluffernutter」ed up the game with their excessive spending. I made the second version because some can find the first offensive. Even if it's the truth.

I actually wasn't excited about modules. What I'm excited about pilots is instead of just overall damage or HP, I can customize and tailor fit a pilot to my specific setups. I haven't really purchased modules but will consider pilots now that I've saved gold for months. I do fear though that this will just widen the disparity between F2p and P2w which is why I say P2w isn't the problem like you've stated above but its matchmaking. I wouldn't mind players maxing out pilots and opening up their wallets if I didn't have to face them.

At this point in time I concur. The sad thing is it flies in the face of all of the forgoing rhetoric about stagnate hangars 3 years ago and the justification for a lot of the changes since then ?

I'm just wondering, will pilots be necessary to bring bots onto the battlefield? because if they are, and the hire cost is around 300 like it was in this video, than myself, and several others will not be able to play at all because of how little gold the average free to play player has!

I don't think they're necessary -- but that's a funny point. Robots without pilots?!? I guess they're driven by Tesla.

Its part of the pattern. At first they realized people had tons of silver so they come out with the new economy to drain that silver then aggressively start selling siliver. Then they realize people have a ton of gold with nothing but rushing upgrades to spend it on. So they come out with Modules and now Pilots to drain that gold. Undoubtedly people will start buying gold offers soon after Pilots are released. It's a never ending cycle of cause a problem them sell you the solution.
