9to5mac.com/2019/05/16/ios-battle-royale-revenue/Surprise surprise, its not Fortnite or PUBG but NetEase's Knives Out. What's interesting to note is that Fortnite appears to be running out of steam. While Knives Out isn't well known in the US, its hugely popular in Japan and that country has big spenders when it comes to mobile games. On its home country, China, Knives Out does have to face PUBG Mobile which is being backed and published by Tencent. Interestingly, NetEase also developed and published another competing battle royale shooter, Rules of Survival.

So if Fortnite is iOS revenue only, that could possibly mean it is top grossing game?

So if Fortnite is iOS revenue only, that could possibly mean it is top grossing game? Maybe so, but it also includes China market while Google Play Android revenues don't include China. Fortnite on Android cannot be installed through Google Play but downloaded as an external source. They want to bypass the Google Play market but I believe that this decision is a mistake, allowing those who list themselves in the Google Play market to do better.
