As long as you can endure the MM beat down roller coaster you should make it there. I'm not sure you're going to want to stay there but that is your decision to make. Congrats btw!

I would guess you're gonna find Master II or Master I to be a real bear to get higher in. The Butch is going to hold you back in my opinion. If those weapons we're level 12 then maybe. But not at lvl 7. Congrats on making it to Masters though. Pushing into Champs and staying there has been a challenge.

I think that Destriers and Cossacks can make it to Champs these days. Here is a screen record clip I took during a BR match last night @ Canyon...

Butch usually is my first drop on large map, and I usually ending up at the last place if it stay alive for the most match. The problem is I don't have more decent bots. The only bot I've grind hard for is the Strider. First Inky is combination of supply drop and WS 1.0, second Inky is 5000 Royale + 5000 from Halloween event. Both Butch and Lance are won from BM.

If you play during daytime hours and stay off at night. Or at least play until you lose during evening hours. Better pilots, ahemmm I mean commanders, seem to hop on the NA server when they get out of their normal workday.
If you can squad with some solid masters or champs then it will be a extremely helpful in cutting down on negative rank pts.
Sadly, it's russian roulette though. While it'll help if you do those 2 things above, the MM could just bend you over and put you in a deep hole that you'll never climb out of. (jeez that came out horribly)

While with LoS, the damage is decent but enemy usually goes behind cover fast. So my conclusion the laser Natty is like roller coaster in damage but the Butch gives me consistence damage (although kinda low).

Level weapons to about level 10 and you should be able to. Under that you won't be very competitive, especially if your goal is to stay in Champions league for more than a couple battles.

As of now my goal is to make it to Champ with L7 weapons and L9 bots, if I can ever make it. Then I'll probably start upgrading weapons.

Can you get Tridents or an Avenger to stick on the Butch? They are easy to level, esp. Tridents. I'll be interested in hearing how high you can get.
I got up to about 5130 cups in Champ, and suddenly I've been rocked hard from the matchmaker. I've been knocked down to 5030 in two days. It's been awful. Even peers in Masters and low Champ are wiping the floor with me. It's like, waaaat. Even in a decent match I'm only getting like 400-500k damage. I feel like Pix nerfed me to drive me out of Champ.

Anyway, yes I'm also thinking of Trident as well, but kinda waiting on the nerf to see how big the impact is.

The Butch is going to hold you back in my opinion. If those weapons we're level 12 then maybe. Agreed! Butch usually is my first drop on large map, and I usually ending up at the last place if it stay alive for the most match. Flux are good weapons but only for a second, long range hangar. They are a liability on most maps. Chimeras are awful in any setup, and while you may survive this in Expert or low Master, you'll be a walking bag of silver once you encounter champs. Considering the price to upgrade I'd put both into storage. You want a serious boost? For a bargain price? There is a simple and cheap option on the table: Trident Fury. Levelling one Trident is 32 million to level 12, compared to 137 million for a Flux. And Trident Fury rocks in high Champ. Or Trident Natty if you are gold starved (see below). Your bots are good on paper (except the Butch), but the long upgrade times and costs will hold you back. That Scourge Calamity Inky needs ~570 million and 100 days for level 12. Ember Halo Strider has exactly the same price tag. Taran Redeemer Inky is something like 380 million. The Punisher Avenger Lance is the bargain that is just 275 million (you can save even 80 million by leaving the Lance at level 10). Ember, Redeemer, Calamity are each 170 million to level 12 (72 millon to level 10), Chimera/Flux 130 million (55 million to level 10). You could go for more Avengers - Avengers are hands down better than Redeemer and Calamity, and pretty much equivalent to an Ember. One Avenger is 64 million to level 12 or 22 million to level 10. You don't need level 12, though. A level 9 hangar will get you into champ but you'll be a pushover in a lot of matches. If you want to matter in Champ, you'll need at least some oomph. All right, what would be the cheapest possible hangar to offer a decent route to Champ? That's a challenge. (Costs are based on upgrades from level 1 unless otherwise noted. As the last 3 upgrades from 9 to 12 are 80% of the silver, that's close enough.) - Bot #1: Level 12 Trident Level 10 Fury, 165 million, OR
L12 Trident L9 Pin L10 Natty. 94 million. Go for a Trident build. Fury is the best, bot to level 10, weapons to 12, that's 145 million silver, plus workshop price for the Fury (20 million). But there is an even cheaper option that has pretty much the same firepower: A level 10 Natty with level 12 Tridents and level 9 Pins, 94 million. (Pins are not good at all but the best complement to the Tridens on a Natty, and level 9 Pins will cost you just 6 million apiece. Not much silver wasted if you switch to a Trident Fury or Bulwark later.) Heck, even a level 10 Trident level 8 Pin level 9 Natty instead of the Butch should push your damage up by 100k or more once you get the hang of using splash. It costs less than 40 million. (The damage progression will be offset by league advancement. The higher you get the lower your average will be.)
- Bot #2: L12 Punisher L12 Avenger L10 Inquisitor. 153 million.
Level those Avengers and Punishers to 12. 128 million silver. I'd rather slap them on an Inquisitor and switch Scourge/Calamity on the slower Lance, but that's your decision. The Inky is level 9, but I'd spend the 25 million to give it a bit more durability.
- Bot #3: L12 Avenger L12 Taran L10 Inquisitor. 217 million.
If you have the gold, go for Avenger/Taran Inky as the third bot. 192 million for the weapons to level 12, 25 million for the bot to level 10.
- Bot #4: L9 Ember L9 Halo L10 Strider. 70 million.
That Strider is a really good beacon runner. But sooo expensive to upgrade... I won't recommend even more Avengers. The bot is l10 already, so just get those weapons a couple of levels higher. It won't survive too long anyway.
- Bot #5: L10 Scourge L10 Punisher L9 Ares. 230 million.
Seriously. The Ares is something like 50 million in the workshop, and currently the best bot out there. A level 9 Ares is better than a level 12 Lancelot, and it's not even close. That l9 Ares costs about 100 million (50 for the workshop and 50 to level it to 9), a Lance is 135 million to level 12. You already have the Scourges which are the best setup for the Ares, they are 55 million each to level 10. The best option for the light slots would be Halos or Shredders, but they cost 20 million to build in the workshop and 55 million to level, so I'd just take placeholders instead. One level 10 Punisher costs 11 million to level 10 or 6 million to level 9, and you can always replace them later.
Done. Champ-worthy hangar for under 800 million silver. Maybe even closer to 700 million as I calculated most weapon upgrades from level 1.

What's happening to me is kinda funny, I actually made more damage on a losing game than a winning game. What a funny MM system! Anyway, yes I'm also thinking of Trident as well, but kinda waiting on the nerf to see how big the impact is. Forget the nerf. If it goes through then the splash radius will be nerfed but the damage is almost the same (-3% or something). Tridents are by far the best bargain weapon that is champ viable, followed by Avengers. Damage can be funny. You have to consider long stretches, like 200 games. I get consistently more damage in solo play (about 1.1 to 1.2 million) than in squad play (800 to 900k), but we win 80% or more of the squad battles and I'm hovering around 50% win rate for solo play. And by the way, my Trident Fury (l12 Mk2 Tridents, l12 Mk1 bot) is a cornerstone of that damage. Just won a squad match where I got 1.5 million damage piloting only the Trident Fury in about 6-7 minutes (on Dreadnought, not a super open map) while the second best player had 800k damage. Whenever I start with the Fury (which I do a lot) and I can stay in the Fury for 3-4 minutes in a competetive game I'll always end up top 3 in scoring, and that's in an AA squad. (And I do have an Ares and an Ao Jun in my hangar.) You just have to learn how to pilot it. Some players are too agressive and lose it quickly. Other players will hide too much and do little damage. Just don't be afraid to take some damage. Make enemy midrangers priority targets (Dragoon/Trident Fury/Bulwark, Tulu/Shocktrain Spectre). I also use the healing module quite extensively on open maps, where I need to get more mileage out of the Fury. And it's immensely satisfying to pick off all those Spectres, Ares and Pursuers :-) Trident Butch - it has 33% less firepower. But it is even worse, because 3 Tridents will allow you to take down Bulwark and Haechi shields quite easily, while 2 Tridents struggle there. (I ran 2-Trident builds a lot for a while.) Also I can pick off a Spectre with 4-5 rounds, and I can hit 4 rounds in 4 seconds. With 2 Tridents I need 6-8 rounds, which takes 6 to 12 seconds more - and those little buggers start to run for cover when I start shooting :-) So with 2 Tridents I usually end up NOT killing robots that I would otherwise have killed. I said it before, but I'd really, really go Trident Fury or Trident Pin Natty instead of Trident Butch. The extra firepower does make a difference. And you won't need the Chimeras once you realize how beautiful Tridents work :-) Even though the Butch is level 9 and you have invested some money.

Maybe I'll get 2 on the Butch before I have my Fury (I have no Fury yet), and when I finally have my Fury I'll get my 3rd Trident and replace the Butch. Regarding the taser Inky, The taser was actually on Lance before Inky and a lot of time enemy escape from LoS because Lance is just too slow! I have to say I have more success with taser Inky than taser Lance. However, I haven't tried leadhose Inky yet, maybe after Lance got replaced I'll put the leadhose setup on Inky.

I do the same thing and look at costs. This Chart Has Everything up before Dragon Bots. Workshop weapons are the most costly, Lv10 Thunder 8M vs Lv10 Tempest 25M, that's a HUGE difference. But then Avenger lv10 is only 10M, what gives? That, and old meta and new meta cost the same in workshop and upgrades are just as outlandish.

Since making it to Masters III I have found the combination of more whales, more death squads, and getting paired with teammates who are clueless, or worse playing against higher level players, makes me wish I would have stayed in the lower levels. You would think making it to the Masters League would mean you would be paired with skilled players. Nope. The red team always seems to have more Masters II and I players or Champion players than my team.
I dont keep track anymore. I just play. If the red bots are a clan or I am seriously outgunned, or matched with stupid teammates I just leave the match. I sleep much better at night now.

That is a cool goal. Keep the updates coming. Update: Made it to Master 2 today, on my way to M2 from M3 I've won a Tyr. I've taken the advice to replace the Butch with the Tyr

Update: Made it to Master 1 today, from M2 to M1 I have the Lance replaced by AoJ. However, I've found the Tyr helps a lot in advancing the league. . I was running a Tyr set up like yours. It’s a great build. But I did swap the shredders for marquees and it’s a totally different bot. Pulsar at lvl 9 and marquees at lvl 8. Lock down ammo. Awesome LD build. Played. TDM game with Bobby Digital and got 8 kills and over a million damage with that one bot. Good times. iOS champs

Good times. iOS champs I use Shredders for the following reasons: 1) I simply don't have 2 Marquees 2) I need shredders for the extra LD chance as weapons are only L7 3) I have a bit more damage when enemy is closer I guess I'll try Marquees when I can get a hold of 2...

I feel yeah. I only run them cause I won them in the last event. They are super expensive to upgrade but well worth it IMHO. That extra 100 m really helps.
