I disagree about the Kang Dae Fury being useless. I ran a Kang Dae Carnage for a time after the guns buff and it works great, doing top damage many times with just that bot. The red letting you get to point blank range is just bad piloting, not a bad build.
This is all league dependent of course.

They are not. If someone tries to hit my sniper with Zeniths/Noricums, then I will move 100 m forward, then 100 m backward, then repeat... Try to hit me then if you are shooting me across whole map. if I mimic you movements, then it’s somewhat more effective, but across the map is not where zenits and nori are useful. They’re useful sub 500m, and they have close to the damage of trident but 5x the clip. People just use it wrong If I move to your left/right, then you can shoot ahead of me and compensate for my movement. If I move from/to you, then you are shooting at the point I was 2-3 seconds ago. If I'm moving and in a fast bot, then you are hammering an empty space. I agree 350-500 m is the range where artillery is actually useful because the latency is not so bad. I have my Nori Jesse troll machine, which is giving me a lot of fun in plant/dead city. At 300 m range you rain shells almost instantly and it's a joy to see all stealth bots jumping in different directions

Not agree about artillery build. I think they are quiet useful against sniper They are not. If someone tries to hit my sniper with Zeniths/Noricums, then I will move 100 m forward, then 100 m backward, then repeat... Try to hit me then if you are shooting me across whole map. You are correct for the point that I cannot hit you effectively. However, I am success in the way that I made you move a lot. So at the end you are NOT sniping effectively and also I moved you out of cover so the sniper in my team can take you out. I know artillery weapons in general are not dealing a lot of damage, but they have their role in the game as a team.

The title says it all. Uneffective Builds I came across are: Kang Dae Fury (the red tried to shoot me at point-blank) Gekko Stalker (Sadly a Blue) Zenit/Noricum (Too less damage/ sitting duck) Cossack Hydra (I tried it) Spydra Gareth (I tried it) Gekko-E?u-Hydra Griffin (A blue) Molot Griffin (Too less damage unless you can MK2 it) Hydra-aphid Galahad (A blue ) Please add in the builds you view as ineffective Noricum destrier (clan) spydra griffin (tried) nashorn anything(kang dae does just about same damage and much less reload

Nashorn and kang dae. When I run 1100m weapon (nashorn), I get 700m map (canyon, best for kang). When I run kang dae (800m weapon) I get 900m maps (snow map). While looking at those factors, you’re right. Kang dae is better, but only because matchmaker is designed to screw your efficiently based upon what you’re running. Those guys suggesting a balanced hangar are right (for people that can only afford one hangar).

I have a Butch with 4 Zenits that I drop into TDM on occasion. I can lay down artillary fire non-stop creating havoc with the Reds. Many times I have stayed in this Bot for the whole game. I don't do a great deal of damage. But it sure is fun.
I also sometimes troll the Reds with a Nori Patton build. It is also fun to watch the red boxes off in the distance run around trying to get away from the bombs that are dropping on their heads.
These to builds are fun but the damage is often minamal with an occasional kill. Also when a Red gets upclose and personal it's a sure kill for them.
So in some ways they are ineffective. But depending on how one plays them they do serve a purpose.

I agree that in the team play you can use artillery to flush out enemy bots from cover. Because you would do little damage (read: earn less Ag than brawlers), then you may want to take turns with other team members. But in solo game... you have to think about yourself

Try some low level Noricums... cheap to get. I think Pixonic is afraid to create medium artillery weapons. Imagine Spectre with 4 super-Noricums 300 m from you, fast, with jump-away ability. Nightmare. You would start liking Spydra

Cannot agree on the molot griffin which gave me quite good experience when I was in diamond or gold.
As I advanced to Master II right now, I swap it to Tempest Falcon, which is also quite good in my experience.

Griffons with 4 different weapons. I remember running half Punisher and half Molot back in silver, good times... good times... And even further back, in the old MM... one of my favorite Silver Tier builds was Patton Pun + Molot. The way the cycle times occurred you were never out of ammo... something was always shooting... which was really handy against Vitz and Boas and the like.

Might as well just use thermite/aphids at that range and when they come in to kill you, pounce on them or jump out. Either way, my main hangar only consists of robots with no active modules now. #boycott

Zenits and Noricums were designed to deal with campers... ...And in using them, you become one yourself. Ironic. Don't become one of them. It’s only that way if the pilot chooses. I’m only middlin when it comes to sniping, but I’ve found it best to move around, not just park and push the button. It’s also been stated that people can just move to get out of range if you are being bombarded, which it partially true. By the same token, if you have a Kumi biting your ankles and spinning you in circles, you really won’t be in a position to avoid artillery.

You want tbe most ineffective build in existence? Take any bot you got, and strip it of its equipment. To battle you hunk of metal with legs. Mender and Mercury are still pretty effective. and Hellburner, love that little nuke!

Not to mention Ares and Co. I had a GI Patton with 4 Noricums start next to me in a battle of Experts and Masters the other day. My immediate thought was oh no here we go. We won and I checked him after the battle and all 4 Noricums were Mk2 lvl12. So maybe not as useless as I first thought!

The only satisfying weapon I like to use is the Orkan...love that BANG BANG BANG when it fires...so Explosive. You cannot even see your enemy when you release a full salvo up close...all covered with smoke.
The Punishers and Tempest also sound very good....other weapons are just meh...
