Still Looking For That Worthy Contender

One thing I see too many people getting wrong, is saying that War Robots is in decline or dying. You’re wrong. Even (Walking) War Robots is subject to ‘meta’. The more players like and praise a game gets, the more’ meta’ it is. Saw somewhere today that finding a balance between complaints and earned income is the largest issue for a game.

What’s my point? War Robots is not in decline, there will be plenty of fresh players willing to spend as long as pixonic is not screwing it up too much. I have two accounts, one in gold (F2P) and one in champion (P2W).

As to a contender? No clue. The old guy in me would say to divert your addiction. Building things has always been a tried and tested method for relieving stress and passing time. It’s good to know you did the research for me that there is really nothing better. But why? What were your dislikes for each game you mentioned?

Lastly, you could just do what I have done. Stop spending, start running non meta trolling bots and just take the losses as the come. I have a hangar entirely devoted to light robots as well as mediums. So you don’t have second or third hangar or 7500 gold? I don’t care, just swap out the bots and make a new hangar from scratch while keeping your upgraded weapons.

After enough times of doing that I always seemed to find my happy place. Whether it was golems, boas, Cossacks, or even a totally meta hangar, switching between them and upgrading different things always helped me. I’m at 28% win rate or something ridiculous like that, but I’m sill hanging on to champion or top of master 1 regardless of what I run and still having fun, 9k wins later.

When I say in decline it is meant as from my point of view,not from statistic charts or how many players praise the game and think its the dogs bollocks.I played for three years and had great gaming for two and a half,so your opinion is its a great game.mine is its turned to crap.

What don't I like about the game ?,lockdown,boosters,multiple currencys,silent weapon and bot nerfs,crap MM,allowed tanking and fading,workshop 2.0 nerf,coming soon modules,silver and gold nerfs,P2W,new meta bots and weapons each month,i could go on a lot longer.

If you like the game then play on and fill your boots,for me I'm done with it,im tired of the game and all its ups and downs and twists and turns,yes I could just play what I have but why should I,any game should be about facing challenges and upgrading and improving skills,not constantly fighting the developers sneaky nerf tactics and poor treatment of the gaming community.

And I am currently playing a building game I revived from a couple of years ago,it is filling the playing gap for now but its not the blasting fun I had with War Robots,im looking for something a bit more exciting than building a wall around a building etc etc.

I didn’t make myself clearly, or you didn’t read me correctly, I never said this was a great game. Not once. I enjoy it because I like mech shooting games. That’s it. For free to play players, it’s tough. Then again I played 12/12 meta bots when I had 4/6 mediums, and didn’t lose all my games or quit, no one is getting sympathy here.

Also: the other games, not this one. I share the same sentiment about the direction this game is headed, I was talking about games like mech warfare and BOT, what didn’t you like about them? It wasn’t explained in your original post.

Ps. I read a little more, my gold account has three bots and I stopped at level 6. Staying there I get 50/50 wins and my battles are still as fun as when I started years ago. There is some merit to these guys suggesting six pack league.
