Although 6 pack league is the best way to improve the playerbase, it is very ineffective.
Practically all the stuff in the game are compartments so 6 pack league is practically denying the existence of half the game's stuff. It is extremely unfair that some F2P players literally grind for something and 6 pack league nerds it before Pixonic takes action... People should get what they deserve and use it. If we continue denying we are still losing to those who pay. So we should learn to grind it the hard way and learn the payers weaknesses.

I don't see what the problem is here. If you don't want to play 6 Pack, don't. The reason it is skill based isn't just the teamwork involved, the lack of skill and counterplay that the component robots and weapons present is the other reason. I don't deny that the component robots or weapons exist, I just reject them.
Grinding doesn't take skill. It takes time, which is money.

The6 Pack League is THEE ANSWER for many long-time War Robots Players... It's promoted (pushed?) a lot... I think lots of people have cone to think of 6 Packers as game-snobs, or otherwise have preconceived notions about that part of the community rather than really getting to know what its all about.

Again, next time I suggest doing at least a tiny bit of research before you come on here and post something like this. It'll be far less amusing for the rest of us, but you'll definitely feel less foolish afterwards.

I can do that anytime I want in Champions League by pressing " To Battle". I think you're right though that a lot of the community has preconceived notions regarding what 6 Pack is. It isn't a bunch of snobs (except me), it is a bunch of great people who enjoy playing the old game and competing in a balanced and competitive setting. |

The problem with component items is that they completely obsoletes a lot of the old weapons. Take for instance the Tempest. I think we can all agree that the tempest does not dominate today's meta and is not OP when put against all the other heavy component weapons out there. However if we allow it in six-pack we basically make it the Only Right Choice. It will instantly obsolete both the treb and the trident, although they are very rarely used. However it will also outrange and like outperform the zeus. You can even brawl with it against thunders except in cases of extreme close range situations. With all bots being slow and heavy the Tempest will simply be too OP and break the sixpack meta. And that's just for the case for an almost obsolete component weapon. Imagine what would happen if you allowed dragoons or embers or, even worse, component bots? All of the above is my own opinion and not necessarily the opinion of the very real and existing cabal of 6-pack illuminati anti-component snobs. |

I still don't know what the issue is... 6PL doesn't exist in game as a mode or anything... it's a bunch of players that decided on rules and play custom matches.
What does that have to do with F2P players grinding? What does 6pack "nerd" before Pixo? Did you mean "Nerf"? Still don't know how that applies to 6PL... *scratches head*

I think arguments exist about why 6pack can still be improved upon: it requires some effort to set up games, the tournament games always seem to start before the sun comes up PST, lack of silver payout rewards, you spend more time waiting for everyone to organize themselves than actually playing, etc, but the gameplay itself is top notch and is very nostalgic for those of us that played in 2016 and early 2017.

True, wait times used to be a real pain. I think one time it took almost 15 minutes...but they have improved drastically and it also helps that more and more pilots are playing. Last night was "Light Bot" night and it was a blast. I think there were almost 30 pilots.....fun times for sure. It's refreshing to not have to see the floating eyeballs in the air constantly. |
