All I can say is Phantom isn't the only one skipping around. Everybody has that skill now. Very very frustrating.

I'm beginning to see it, too. Beginning 2 updates ago, and worse with each successive update.
One thing I noticed in particular is long long loading times for Skirmish/Arena. After Battle Begins, it takes up to 15 seconds before I show up. To a battle already in progress.

Now, if they are patching, than the code is most likely full of “jump to’s” and duplicate calculations. I have seen mulitply modified code, not pretty. Thus, our problem - Pixonic really does not care anout the legs of this game, otherwise they would invest on a new rewrite. No, just cash flow concerns them. I agree with what you wrote, but in all fairness to programmers at Pixonic most places are like that. Due to number of new features and add ons that business requires it almost always outgrows the original design and of course you are never given the time to go back and do rewrites. There are, however, few examples of dubious programming practices by Pixonic. One was the whole steam new maps fiasco where it was either or: either they shut out a lot of lower end graphics players or they have to scarp all the new maps. Shows lack of any scalability, which on PC is a must for almost any game these days. It's also becoming an issue for mobile players, because I'm sure plenty of people would love to drop graphical effects just so that their game can run smoother. Second is their troubles with cross platform: there are portions of the code that can be independent of the platform, such as the server side, for example. If they maintained the separation between platform- independent code and platform specific the cross platform should have been easier to do. The fact that it's such a trouble for them suggests to me that they did a "hack" job on individual platforms.

One year or so later, I wonder how many of the posters are still with us.
