something isn't fun anymore. Guess I've had it now.
- The game generally moves into a direction I dislike: Burst damage ego shooter. No need to predict where the red guy might move, just smash the big red button. They're removing a bit of tactics from the game, patch by patch.
- Once, there were weapons in the game which where believable. Gekko? Long range laser. Zeus? Tesla coil! Now, a flame thrower with hundreds of meters range? A energy beam weapon that not only passes through solid matter, but also moves on to the next ally? Welcome to the fantastic world of Walking Magic Robots. Say Harry Potter hello from me.
- Random mode and game modes forced at me. Believe me, I tried to force myself into liking KOTH and TDM. But that didn't work for me. One of the largest problems with the game is, that due to the forced modes, you have at least one ally in every match, that doesn't do 「dookie」. Now that's motivating!
- It's supposed to be (Walking) War Robots. Instead it's flying invisible and/or dashing robots. What the 「fluffernutter」 am I playing, a Jackie Chan movie?
- Pay to win or give up your job and play full time. 50$ for a Lance wasn't cheap for a virtual item in a game, but it was somewhat reasonable. Company's got to eat. Besides, you could grind for Lance in a somewhat managable time. Now? If you want to get stuff in a reasonable amount of time and have it MK2 to compete with the other players in low Masters, you have to spend money. Lots of it.
- MK2. One idea directly from hell and/or the financial department of 「dookie」sonic. Compensates for a lack of skill. Frustrates the MK1 players. Disturbs game balance. Reduces the actual time of a fight.
- Spectre. No words needed. Wait till Spectre 2.0 arrives, now with 6 medium slots + Aegis shield. Grab them while they're hot, starting at just 499$.
- MM was and is a piece of 「dookie」. 4099 playing against 3200 to 4000, 4100 playing against full MK2 hangars and, at times, > 8000? Yeah, that's fun. If you're masochistic.
Finally I have to mention that Pix is a company I don't want to do any business with. "We hear you". Round table. All bull「dookie」. The only thing they were interested in, is luring the players to stay, keep on playing and, ideally, paying for the game.
So, I'll take some sort of summer break from the game I guess or quit it totally. There is so much stuff out there to have fun with and enjoy while at the same time the amount of joy that War Robots brings me is very little to non-existent, hence I have to take consequences.
I'll stick around the forum though, as you're a bunch of great guys. Thanks for the good times, the bad times and the countless hours of robot madness.
Take care.

Good luck [CK]erazor! I totally get where you're coming from. I've long been an advocate of ending things when it stops being fun. Me, I'll keep trucking along. I've got my main 2 hangars almost to where I want them to be, and my 3rd hangar is slowing coming along. I'm in mid Masters 2 now, and nowhere close to Mk2, but I have good days and I have bad days. The only new content that I covet is the Exodus ($75) and the Spark ($37). Not that bad, and since it's only the 2 items, I'm not going to be too fussed about the long upgrade times. Hope to keep seeing you here!

Hope to keep seeing you here! Some things in life are absolute and many are relative. I'm not sure, as already mentioned above, if I quit forever. If the game moves into a direction towards the players, I might play again but for now, it's the extended break and so far, it feels good. My hangar wasn't the issue and if the MM didn't mess with me, I got 1st place in FFA a lot of times. Got the dash bots, got the Quizzy and it's all around MK1/11, so it's not uber, but good enough. I'll continue the upgrades till my silver is gone. Already went from 400m to 200m as my daily play time became less and less, the last weeks. I'm glad Koalabear, that you and others still enjoy the game:) I have no intend of quitting the forum whatsoever. A lot of postings are either informative or comedy gold/nerd humor and I'm digging that hehe.

Times are not easy for sure. Take a summer break. If you stay away from it for a while you will be able to ?multiple dookie delivery chute? with a clearer head if it is worth it or not. Once you start doing something else that is in competition with your game time than you will be able to make a good call.
Edit: misspelt "assess" and the profanity filter started doing its thing.

Dash bots are very much victim because of the extreme lag. My bulgasari cant even make a quick move to right or left when things are very serious. Dashes r.swallowed by the enormous slowdown, example Kumiho. Device HeatingUpz r back again. Very crap.

Been around a long long time. I just don’t like long good byes and am not sentimental. It’s getting old. We should have a separate forum for the good bye/welcome back... I quit but am going to comment anyhow. It’s old. Tired. Good luck tho. Love you!!! Hello goodbye.

Why write so many words to say “I can’t play this game anymore”? What advice should I ask for? I know how the game works and if the MM gives me opponents in my range, I mostly come out 1st place in FFA which is proofing, that I know, how to play the game. I rather explain my doings and just quitting without giving any reason at all ain't my style. Might be that nobody cares but after playing well over a year for hundreds of hours, the 15 minutes I used for this posting were time, well spent.

I first had a look into the game end of 2016, thought it was meh. Had a second look early 2017 and have been playing ever since. Could cope with a lot of things Pix was throwing at me and at the lot of us, but due to reasons I mentioned above, the game isn't fun for me anymore and my unhealthy relationship with Pix has to end and has ended. Haven't played one single match since I wrote my letter of resignment and I feel somehow reliefed. I'm glad you enjoyed a posting or two I wrote and I'll, as already threatened, will stick around the forums.

Some good points, OP. Whenever the game is no longer fun or if you've lost faith in the company, it's probably time to move on. Good luck to you.

[CK]erazor, just as an aside -- if you're looking for something else to pass waste your time on, Empires & Puzzles is kind of addictive. Obviously nothing like War Robots, but a cool twist on the match 3 concept.

Still have many games in my Steam account I never played but bought cheap some month or even years ago and will have a look into that. Also the Playstation, the Wii and other stuff here is collecting dust. Besides, it's summer anyway so I got outdoor activities going. When the days get shorter and summer ends, I'll start with my games addiction again, I guess. And I'll even have a look at the state of War Robots then. Still haven't given up hope on it totally yet, but honestly: Not playing it right now, is a relief. It's like that long-term project at work that you've finished. Dropping the burden.
