So I finally got my just deserts and am in the LPQ as of this morning. Not sure how I got here, only have done 1 small tanking session at the start of the event and it bored me to tears so I've been playing this one straight (if you can believe that), I did have some connection issues in a few games last night so am not sure if it was that or I got reported for my earlier behavior. But I guess that's beside the point.
What I've learnt is that many of the people in the LPQ are here by accident and are noobs who just didn't know what they were doing was wrong(Map or mode skipping is my guess). A lot of the hangars I see are nowhere near strong enough to even enable tanking, they are silver level hangars at BEST. The amount of recruits with Noricums and destriers and L3 pun pattons is really sad.
I don't mind being in the LPQ, it's honestly fair enough. I've tanked 3 events now and had it coming.
But Pix MUST put in a warning when people are racking up negative Karma by leaving during the countdown. We must be hemorrhaging noobs because of this!

Evil question perhaps...but can you still complete event tasks in LPQ or are you out of the event entirely?
I am curious because I have heard rumors that everything is the same aside from no AU and much lower silver earnings.
Thanks. Oh and you have to suffer long wait times.

I got wins credit and beacon caps when I was in LQ, just no silver, ans the only mode was Random. And for whatever reason, I found that getting beacons was much easier in LQ. Don't know why.

Are you suggesting, I should go to LPQ to finish event? Well every expert and expert + player will get their redeemer and haechie much faster for sure. Let me think….. spend 30K gold on a haechi on the Royale or spend a few weeks in the LQ. Hang on. 30K? spend half a year in the LQ? The redeemer is a bonus I suppose

What rank did you start, and how far down did you tank too? Just genuinely curious, only tankers I've seen get put in LPQ are ones that go all the way down to bronze from really high up.

OP. Pixonic is treating people like children. No warning , no indication of imminent LPQ queue entry, no rules, no exit conditions, minimal communication and in people go. At the end of the day if getting out is hard people gold and below will put the game down in drowes. Lower level players are probably best to reinstall the game and start afresh.
The only difference here is that this is a game where the “children” have the money which Pix wants and the players that have the money are generally not children.
The LPQ is a joke. It has always been a joke. It is a symptom and not a solution to the game being unbalanced, expensive, poorly designed in respect to the league system, forcing people to play specific modes and a MM that focuses on revenue generation more than on fair matchmaking.
When supposedly so many people “abuse” the system and the system is so open for abuse than there must be something wrong with the system and its longevity questioned.

Gold / Silver level players get smashed. It's straight up seal clubbing. I would expect many of them to just give it up. Had many, many 1.5m+ matches and almost topped my max damg (1.9) in games that went the full 10 minutes. My average damage is 674k with an 80% win rate, that's with approx 15 Tanked matches included in my totals! It's REALLY time this was fixed with level caps on lower leagues. You can still use any gear, but it only performs at the leagues max level. 7 for Silver, 8 for Gold, 9 for Diamond. Put a warning when people are approaching LPQ status.

Just as an aside: Gold 2 with 4 slots of 6-6 all silver gear, I can do better than 3 in 12 t-3 finishes (still climbing leagues). Clubbing would still be rampant due to equipment deltas.

Its worse than seal clubbing in the NQ. The noobs in the LPQ see multiple clubbers game after game. I bet most noobs don’t even realise what they did wrong or even if they are in the sin bin. In the mean time the clubbers are grabbing the haechies in record time frames. 80% win rate in an average of 3-4 mins??? Maybe Pix just pleased both groups (anti tanker and clubber groups). Many clubbers removed while giving clubbers a haechi for their stint in the sin bin. I’d be surprised if voulteers would not be flooding in now despite the loss of silver and gold earnings. Not sure about levels and restriction. The real solution is to fix the systemic problems (everything else is a band aid). That wont be done because that is not aligned with the monetisation strategy. Pix has reacted this time because the tanker population has become too large for their liking. A haechi on offer is a very good incentive to tank for a large proportion of the mid and top end player base.

I am in LPQ and this morning, in less than 45 min I have completed task 5 of 5 for redeemer. Some battles were less than 3 min and some lasted as long as 5. What took so long is looking for players.
Now I have a whole week to get Haechi...
Starting task 1...Get 106 kills.

Thats actually good to know. They make the punishment fit the crime. Yes, except they never tell you what the crime is. They give you a menu with an option to eject robots and leave the game, but they don't tell you you'll get thrown in hell for all eternity (or at least what feels like eternity) for doing it. (Note: I've never been in there myself, just sympathizing with the poor slobs who have.) Somebody tell me again how this company is not trying to drive players away.

Sounds to me that some are mad that they get punished for cheating. Like the old adage, don't do the crime if you can't do a stint in the lpq. I cry no tears for ones ruining the game for others.

good that you are in there. one way they could let players know they are in there is to do a Hangar X type deal, like letting players in Lq use only AG Bots with stock Ag weapons. maybe like Patton,Golem,Vitz,Natty,an a Griff all lvl9 with all lvl5 weapons with no way to switch out weapons.
question for the Reviled(tankers, faders, leavers, basically the ?wee-wee?s who ruin the game for new players.) if a Hanger X deal with basic Ag bots was implemented would you still tank since you would not have access to your Bots? this is a real question.
edit: and maybe a LQ Task list. an negative comp. but i do agree a warning is needed

The problem is that those ruining the game for others are mostly not the ones being punished -- it's mostly those who don't even know they're going to get punished for certain behaviors that the game openly gives them the option to do. The career tanker/clubbers know exactly how to do what they do and avoid punishment while they do it.

I must also highlight (sorry no screenshots to back my claim) that quite many successfully tank to between Expert 1 and Master 1. Don't have a clan as I only play solo due to inconsistent playing time. You can definitely spot them a mile away with victories above 5k, minimum MK1 L12, but piloting MK1 bots level 8 to 11...

Well, just shy of 3 weeks, I am out of LPQ. The only good thing that has come out of it, was win tasks. Battles lasted less than 5 minutes and tonight I finished getting my Haechi. Now I need to try and get one for my son, who is on a orkan taks 1 of 1. Not sure if I will get there, but at least I will try to get him a redeemer.

How did you know that there is a risk of going into the LPQ? How early did you learn it? Like Level 25 or Level 15 or Level 8? There is another thread with a guy in Masters 1 not knowing much about the stuff. I think some things are clear. Pix's communication is woeful at best in this respect. It is not cheating as defined by Pix’s terms of service. Their recent crack down is probably due to too many tankers across the leagues for their liking. And that’s no surprise with the event being on and the intro of TDM into Random mode………. and it mostly scoops up noobs who proabably don’t even know where they are. So that says a lot.

I found out about the lpq watching videos and from this forum, pilots that land there unknowingly have my sympathy. However the info is out there. That said Pix should spell this out clearly and a warning would leave this punishment on a player if one chooses to ignore it.

There's a helpful little warning sign that tells me not to reach into my lawn mower blades when the mower is running. But my kitchen doesn't have a sign telling me not insert my hand into the disposal. And yet I still have all my fingers. For now.
I get the OPs point, but I dont share the empathy for the "poor noobs". Play to win every time, or go play in the LQ with the other guys that DC or quit.
